Mobile tournament lobby jam

Livertool
  • Priority: Status: New

Happened few times, after searching tournaments by name that lobby jams and stays jammed until you do something else like visiting promotion section in this case. After that works just fine again.

Happens more than sometimes. I play from livingroom sofa maybe more than half of the games in general, and the routine to get away from that freeze has become an artform to muscle memory and instincts.
Steps to get away from it are as described by OP. Best way being to kill all running apps the moment, and enjoy the fact the app logs you back in without passwords ASAP.

Exact steps to reproduce are still unkown for me, but it helps to casually tap on to the MTT lobby games as usual in the middle of screen in order to move it, and thefore when dragging the list up or down, hold one of the games under finger microseconds longer the app can fetch info and keep up.
It's like being given double commands, and doesn't know what to do, so softlock or whatever, idk.
Everyday stuff anyways.

Androids 7, 11, 11, 12.
All but the 7 are Samsung galaxy models, 7 is Huawei Mediapad

Little update to this when noticed something.

The jam is most likely to happen when you press the screen and drag the finger over the MTT lobby filters at the top. Tried several times, and always repeatable. Not sure if the drag needs to end up on the filterbutton or in between them, but that's how you do it. Might take few attempts, but not too many.

Turned on the touch indicator from developer settings on Samsung galaxy tablet A7. Vids added.

Reproduced it easily by doing what @Rushbie said, scrolling over the filters, also seems to do the same if you scroll over the footer icons like dashboard and promos and settings, sometimes it can take a while to reproduce and sometimes you can reproduce it 20 times in a row, so be patient while testing. Kinda smells like some onmouseover stuff might be causing issues or overscroll stuff. Looks like these kind of scroll issues are not uncommon for mobile development, but a lot of different possible solutions, GL 😅
