  1. A wonderful question and I agree with all the answers.  I don’t know the reasons nor the math but I absolutely know for myself that if I’m running bad I am playing bad.   I can sit and fold for hours if the cards and the table is not working for me.  Fold and accept and use the time to think about my game.  But if I start to play cards for the sake of playing, start thinking I’m a better player than anyone at the table, or even worse start cursing the gods I know I’m playing bad.  Stop, walk away, or read a basic poker book.  I can fix me playing badly as long as first I see that it’s me.

  2. Ok, a stupid question about tournaments, I rarely play, there never seems to be enough time but my stats for cashing in them is 15%.  There no wins in that figure.  So, your impressions, give up, study more, or carry on ?

  3. yes many times.   I am on a mac and playing on the browser.   at the bottom of the page there is a silouette of a person, click on that takes me to a page that includes the word Lab, click that takes me to 6 squaires including school, click on that takes me to LI L2 L3 etc - one group for hexpro and one for cash games.   I do this every time I sign on, is there anything else I should be doing?

  4. Im sorry if this is old stuff but to get an LI bonus you have to go to the lab.  Ive been to the lab countless times and yet the program doesnt give me any credit for the visits.   I am missing something

    thanks

  5. great question.  Im not sure what I know and dont know but as you move up the to higher levels you get more information re different parts of your game.  im on level one so can get a couple of pieces on advice on Pre flop in cash games,  also available at some point will be pre flop on Hexapro but I have to play more games.

coming up next is continus play after I reach level 2

If Im honest I am just guessing most of this, there is little written that I can find.  and I hope im giving you good info, if it turns out I am way off, I apologize to everyone.

I appreciate your response, even if you strongly disaprove of what I am writing.

I am mostly throwing around questions, but yes, my opinion is that there is too much "action" going on in here. Could I be wrong? Yes. Have I been given a solid reason to think otherwise? No. Do I want to believe that this is totaly random and fair? Yes!

Unibet is the one claiming that this is random. I am just asking you to show me some data to support it. Is that taking it too far? Am I unreasonable? The question seems to be how a player can check anything or prove/disprove anything when there are no stat-gathering? Is that not called a "catch 22"?

Another thing, I do not believe that there are rigging against anyone. We all sit here and are given one "golden egg" on the flop after another with a few hands in between, that suddenly turns rotten in the most incredible ways. In other words, the odds do not seem to count either in favor or against anyone. Its like a casino where you "almost" win with a very good hand, over and over, and then you suddenly win, but then something totaly insane happens around the corner and someone else gets the win by the act of God. And of course, then its always the losing player that has a bad mindset or just caught a bad beat. "Better luck next time and work on your game".

The problem is that there is not much to work on. According to math and odds the player did everything right, but the 5-10% against the hand just turned 100%... again. This is not just for me, I see the same nonsense other players go through at the tables. Combine this with all the "great hands" at once, and it becomes a complete chaos.

Endless times there are just one or two cards left in the stack to save a fool and he gets it, just to win over hands that are over 90% certain. And yes, it happens live also. My god, it happens! But online it happens way too often in my opinion. I have played poker for 25 years, so I am not talking from total ignorance.

And thats were you are most correct and really hit the nail on the head; My sample size is way to small to have seen so many superior combinations and outcomes around the tables. That means that all the "TV-moments" are too short in between. Its not often you see two sets of three of a kind and a flush at the same time... well, in real life, that is.

So, are you saying that if I keep playing, all these "TV-moments" will tone down and this will overall become more realistic? Have I really just been too often at the wrong place, at the wrong time in here?

As to being a winning player... well, when odds and math stop making sense, I truly have to change my mindset and play like its a lottery like so many do in here. I am still trying not to, but maybe thats the way to do it? Just close my eyes and roll the dices...

To clearify my point of view, its just sad to see what poker has turned into online. Its a mess of ridicilous outcomes (you simply call them bad beats), to many "super-combinations" at once and terrible players that succeed way too much with terrible odds. In other words, it seems like the "good players" are good for the wrong reasons.

The worst thing, is that most of the real morons you meet online would have been eaten alive and had to go home early in real life, but online they win by the magic touch of the RNG-machine over and over. I wonder why that is? I am sure some youtube-video will explain it...

it's becoming clear by your use of insults like \ idiots, morons, etc. that you are one of "those" players who thinks that he is the god's gift and if he doesn't win against morons on line then the game must be fixed.   I've read enough, if you don't like on line poker, don't play, if you don't like Unibet, don't play there.   have a great day.

  7. holly mackerial, no one cares, no one is reading you, no one is argueing and no one is discussing this.   there are sites where you can find all sorts of people to continue your little conversation with yourself,  because that is what all this is, verbal masturbation.  Please go to these incel sites, this site is for poker players.

  8. just to add my two cents, at first I too missed it but after a while you will see you loose little by not having chat.   The distraction that it is is not worth, I think, the hassle.   You will not have to deal with people trying to put you on tilt, racist, ignorant talk, you will not rely on talking tells, which to be honest are nonsense most of the time anyway.

Concentrate on the play, the bet size, the flow of the game, I think you will come to accept it and even enjoy it.

    good luck

  9. I am moving toward being a nit, really cutting down on the hands played and while it tookk some getting used to I am making a little money every day, something I think I need for my confidence.

However I have discovered that I am really good at HU and am now trying to move up in buy in while still keeping my modest winning pace in tact.   Not opposed to going back down whenever it feels right

  10. i have seen players seemingly increasing their stack after every loss.  I dont want to do that, it seems silly, but I do want to, when I get low on a table I like, to be able to increase my stack.   I dont see how it is done without leaving the table.   Can someone help a poor old poker player?

  11. I have always thought I was woking toward being a TAG player but recently I read an article that basically said these are the hands you play and this is when you play them.   I, in my head, said yes, of course, everyone knows that but what about when….    The answer I got back was read it again, these are the hands you play and this is when you play them.

So for about 3 weeks I have been playing like a nit.  Folding in places I would have never folded before, raising when i would have normally checked.

I feel like a nit, feel like I’m not giving action, but you guessed it, I’m booking profits.  Not huge, but consistent and that is a word I rarely can claim.

So all hail the new nit.  long may he prosper.

ps full disclosure  I folded a hand I may have played in the past and lthe flop would have given me a straight flush.  I am sill in mourning

  12. are we talking Ontario?,  used to have a freind with benefits I visited at Bobcagyn, probably spelt wrong, but that was much back in the day.

I play cash, nl and plo and MMT depending on how my brain is working.   Cash nl I've recently moved up to NL25 and am enjoying it, I find each level I play has a vibe, and at 25 people seem to understand and consider the type of player you are displaying that day.  plo I am still at 4 and 10 but its funny my most consitistant profit is on PLO.

MMT are 5 and 10 mostly, but the length of them is starting to wear on me.   Used to play early morning (on the sites time) and they would be down and dirty quickly but now if they are not cancelled becasue of lack of players they last forever.

I find if I study everyday, and play everyday I can get into a pretty good flow but if I take 4 or 5 days off I can really screw up my game.   There are days when I have to tell myself to nit up, play premuim hands only and stop throwing money away.

anyway good to talk to you.
