    I think the point system will "kill" this competition. Meaning, that if you pick the smallest odd (the more likely probability to happen), in the long run you will be a winner, that's the optimal strategy. If everyone is doing that, there can't be a difference between the winners,  and if you pick other horses with higher odds, you deviate from the optimal strategy.

    In conclusion, my vote goes to the odds system.
