We have updated the steps for UK tour. The major change will be the finals, we will run one weekly 3-package guaranteed final  where you have the chance to win a seat for Unibet UK Tour 2018. The stops for 2018 will soon be updated here:
https://www.unibet.co.uk/promotions/poker-promotions/uk-poker-tour

The changes will take place on 11th December and we will on that day give away €200 worth of extra money in Freeroll Flips, they will start at seceret and random start times beetween 14:00 and 23:59 UK time. They will only be visible in the client for 10 minutes, so just don't blink if you want to participate.

Think this new schedule will kill the UK tour, the UK tour is great for meeting community members from all over europe.

Its going to be very hard to win multiple seats per event with this setup, which will make it impossible for all the Belgium/Romanian/Dutch etc etc players to make it worthwhile playing, as it will be too expensive to attend with just one package.

Wish you could find away to add more seats a week than decimate them, this was a lot easier to win to meetup with community members than the UO.

You can exchange UO tickets again all is unicorns and rainbows in Unibet land.

@jonny2192 I will add seat only qualifiers as we get closer to the live event

I agree with @jonny2192 , by more seats he means more finals per week. We used to have 4 per week, and now only 1 will be left. That's a decent format for a freezeout like the UO where everything is booked by unibet and is a freezeout but for a re-entry like the uk tour where people have to book their own hotel and flights weeks, or even months in advance (like for manchester) it gets very hard to even guarantee that you'll have 1 package at the end of a 2 month qualifying period by playing every available final, let alone 2 or 3 to fire a few shots and have enough spending money.

That being said it's perfectly fine just to focus on the uk market if that's the goal. There's still the unibet open for everyone else 😃

As for the smaller satties, they seem mostly the same just with adjusted guarantees. Any thoughts on moving around the times for the feeders in such a way that they're kinda synchronized one after the other? let's say the 1€ ends on average in 70 minutes, make the 4€ start in 85 so people jump straight in and have a tiny break as well, same for the 25 and the 100€. I don't actually know the average times these tournaments end, I assume it's a stat you could find out and design based on that maybe. Guaranteeing people at the start of the tournament in this way might be able to prevent tournaments from cancelling. Just an idea. Maybe the times would be too awkward then.

Quite grateful I have 3 packages as this will Indeed make it harder to win a seat. Quite liked the Friday and Monday night qualifiers. Probably preferable for me to play them than a Sunday one. I've only attended one UK tour (Nottingham) so far but loved every second. I hope these changes make the tour even better but I'm not so sure... Anyone in Manchester feel free to say hi though (and buy me a beer 😏 lol )

This is ok if you live near the event and is a good idea as a seperate thing but even for me living in the UK the 200ish cash from only 1 seat makes it very hard to go somewhere like Brighton and not be out of pocket, If i end up spending £200 of my own money, I may aswell just go to a local casino and play whats running.

If someone won a seat to Manchester in the last couple of weeks, they would be very lucky to find a hotel for less than spending money.

Agree. I live in Wolverhampton and was priced out of Brighton because couldn't find a hotel anywhere near it for reasonable price. Manchester is costing me more than the expenses cover but travel is cheap and its not far so I don't mind so much. As soon as tour dates are announced for next year I will booking hotels for those days with cancellation insurance. Just no way can do it a couple weeks before.

Leo - last time I checked the finals were not running with an overlay so why are you reducing them from 4 to 1 a week? Aren't you supposed to be growing the tour not cutting it back? If there was an overlay (perhaps I was unlucky, but I didn't see one), then reduce the finals a bit but going from 4 to 1 seems ridiculous.

However, if the intention is to reduce the number of regulars attending, and focusing the event on new customers within the local casino, then I guess it's your tour to decide on and we have to accept it - just as long as that is the intention and not an unexpected consequence.

One idea i had that could maybe get MTTs running that you want, would be to offer certain missions as an option.

Like the 2nd mission this month when you finish it the client could offer you the plo4 or a UK4 + UK1, offering a slightly bigger prize for MTTs overlaying or as now you can do targetted missions do a play x amount of MTTs get a UK4 or something like reg at the beginning without unregging in 20 MTTs and get a UK tour ticket(this would be good to get games started and getting people in the targeted tournament)

@FeelsBadMan "that they're kinda synchronized one after the other"  ... I've thought about thet and I looked at at previuos feeders so I scheduled them so they should overlap each other, at least if players use the late registration it will be fine.

With the previuos setup with 4 different finals it was hard to have the same number of players for each final, we kind of needed that with the relativly low numbers of €100 tickets we prodused per week. This going to be good, just give it some weeks.

As I saw how interesting the tour looks I wanted to try my chance at this qualifier...

But I really hate Sunday night games :o

Why do we oversaturate the Sunday shedule, and let all the other days suffer?

I think at least 2 finals are needed (then you aren't excluding any players who can't play that one day)

Why not try Wednesday/Sunday

Edit: also. Why don't you change the 4 euro to 5 euro games? :) for consistency + also then we can use 5 euro tickets for the satellites (what I did in the past)

I see now that the circumstances of ones birth are irrelevant... It is what you do with the gift of life that determines who you are.

@Leo-Unibet I understand and appreciate the need for cost control. However, It should be noted that another poker site has recently started almost the same tour with the same partners, therefore same venues. The same 220 buy in with 40k gtd. Same starting stacks and levels.Almost like for like. They have hit the ground running. My understanding is In Manchester they exceeded guarantee by more than 50% and in Brighton by 100%

The primary reason for pointing this out is it shows demand and size of market. What is more interesting is the number of unique online qualifiers is substantially higher than unibet.

The regulars will probably remain loyal and thus cost control will be easily achieved. Where i take issue is there has been little progress in creating organic growth with the uk tour. Your addressing cost without addressing intrinsic and fundamental concerns thus leading to ever decreasing circles. It wont be long before Alea Casino hits a 100k prizepool with 220 buy in, just a shame it will not be with Unibet.

and same issue as other sats with r/a, single ticket back for all other prizes, change to one cash prize for main prize bubble at the very least, feels worse to win back a maximum of 50% of your stake than totally bubbling.

Best community event where its accessible to a lot of members and where Unibet staff and ambassadors have more free time to mingle with players, ruined imho. :(

I love going to the UK tour please come up with a new strategy to beat the overlay.

ps sorry for spamming but really $%$$%$%%$% off with these changes

Why don't you get a group together to give you the idea's that you need to get the UK Tour up and running properly, instead of running at a loss. I know a TD that would be good to get into the group for a start. Also Pirahn is right about the other one, it smashed it, and they had alternates on both days which were full. Also, @pirahn@jonny2192 @MathrimC @FeelsBadMan and a few others. They are the ones that get the satties going. If it wasn't for the regs the satties wouldn't run at all. Am being serious about having a brain storming session regarding how to get more players playing the UK Tours. It is and can be done.

@Darkangel7 is correct, get a group together discuss different ideas.

A lot of us reg players are members of a big UK mainly facebook group, surely with a bit of effort from us and unibet we can a promo on there to get the UK tour busy.
