Unibet Open Copenhagen info

Hello everyone,

I recently won a package to Unibet Open Copenhagen and I was hoping I could get some help here about a few questions regarding the Registration Form. They might seem silly but I don't want to get anything wrong or make a mistake.

1) Is there a due date on when I have to fill out the registration form?

2) Based on these dates I guess that if I choose Day 1a, that means I can check in the hotel at noon/afternoon on the 24th of May and have to check out on the 28th?
Day 1A 25/05/2017 --> Radisson Blu 24th - 28th
Day 1B 26/05/2017 --> Radisson Blu 25th - 29th

3) If I bring a friend along do they also have breakfast and dinner, or am I the only one that has that included?

Cheers,

Gardha

@imbaKKK Hello

Don't really know if there is or when is a due date for that Registration Form,so i'll try to answer the next two question,from my experience.

2.You are right with your guess.If you choose to play Day 1a,you can check at the hotel on the 24th of My and check out on the 28th of May.If you end up at the final table on Sunday ( good luck for that) you will get an extra night stay free of charge,courtesy from Unibet.

3.Usually,no,but in Copenhagen (unfortunately ) ,hotels do charge an extra fee for guests stay.At least this happened lasy time,in 2016. They charged 25€/night and then breakfast was also included, however there was no possibility to not take the breakfast and bail out on the fee.In other locations where there is no fee for the guest,only breakfast is provided for them,not dinner.You can read more about it,and other questions here : http://unibetopen.com/about/faqs/

@imbaKKK, I've sent you an email with general information on the event.

1) I've asked the poker team about the due date.

2) You're right about the hotel dates :)

3) Players may bring a guest at no extra cost. If you are planning to bring a guest along, please specify when filling in the online registration form or email us.

Thanks for helping out once again, @AndreiBN :peace:

@MarcoV In 2016 there was a fee for the guests stay in Copenhagen.A few members mentioned this on the forum.But if this changed,would be nice to inform the ones who will participate,as many of them will just think that it will be the same as last year for the guests.

@AndreiBN, we inform the players that they can bring a guest to UO Copenhagen with no extra charges (it's mentioned in the info mail we send out to the players), but we'll definitely need to remove the example in the FAQ like you suggested - I've asked the UO team to do it as I can't do it myself.

Thanks for the help guys, I have some more question after doing some research.
"Please note that the Hotel require credit card and deposit upon check-in." - How much money do I have to deposit for the hotel when checking-in and when will that money be returned to me? My budget for the trip is thin so I need to know about this.
Also, what is Unibet eSports SNG? Is it a freeroll tournament for players who arrive on the 24th, or is it something else?

Looking forward to answers :)

@imbaKKK

Almost every hotel requires a deposit upon ckeck-in.The amount is different from hotel to hotel.You should give SAS hotel a phonecall or email and they will tell you exactly the amount.If you can pay by cash the deposit,it will be given back to you as soon as you check out.If you use a credit/debit card,might take a few days to have the money released.They will not take it,just "secure" them .

eSport SNG is a invitation only tournament.It's  a special event where some of the Twitch streamers will play a SnG.It's more like a marketing event,not open for the rest of the players

I have one more question. I noticed the casino dress code part... it says "smart casual but no sportswear, shorts, caps, sun glasses etc. Men are not allowed to wear sleeveless t-shirts". Is this for real? I can't wear a sleeveless T-shirt? I have no other kind lel. Also, no sportswear? I can't play a 10 hour (a day) tournament in sweatpants and a hoodie? (because hoodies are also sportswear)
Does this dresscode really apply or is it more easy-going?

@imbaKKK, that's the standard dresscode at almost all casinos I've been at :)

That being said, they're usually not very strict about it, especially not during Unibet Open. You can play in a hoodie, that's very standard, but sweatpants will sometimes result in a warning "please wear something else the next time". If it's warm, shorts should be okay, as long as it's not sports ones.

Also just want to make it clear that you can wear a "normal" t-shirt with short sleeves, you just can't wear what I'd call a tank top.

I just find it hilarious that there are people who have to be told to not show up in sweatpants and a wife-beater at public gatherings. 🤣

We're gonna win on so many levels! We're gonna win, win, win. You're gonna get so tired of winning, you're gonna say: "Mr. President please, we don't wanna win anymore, it's too much!" And I'm gonna say: "I'm sorry, we're gonna keep winning because we're gonna make America great again!"

Don't know what's a wife-beater, I guess it is what Stubbe said was a tank top, and I wear those at the beach. To be honest it would be quite unhygenic and impolite to wear that at a tournament. When reading dress code I was afraid I wouldn't be able to wear a regular T-shirt, hence the question.
And generally about clothing and wearing sweatpants in "public gatherings" (@WuDu). I don't really care how I look as long as it's not grotesque or silly, for me clothes have a role of making me feel comfortable while wearing them, and I find it hilarious that there are people who find it hilarious that there are people who have to be told not to show up in sweatpants, solely because sweatpants are ranked lower in some socially constructed imaginary scale that ranks the "seriousness" of clothes.
