The chip leader Kaarel Lepik came through from day 1B with a stack of 382,900, surely on for his first tournament cash outside of his native Estonia. This stack gives him around a 20,000 lead over the next player in the top 10 chip counts Fin Pekka Ikonnen who sits on 364,200.

But with an extensive career he should have the skill to be able to find a good spot.

Another player to look out for is the final Unibet eSports player left in the field Alan 'Hotted89' Widmann who also has a fair bit of work to do if he wants to make it much further into the competition as he sits on a stack of around 41,800. He still remains confident though saying that he plans on going all the way and doesn't want to settle for a min cash.

One player to keep an eye out for is twice Unibet Open London final tableist Bhavin Khatri sitting on a stack of 149,000 who said about playing in a Unibet Open "when it comes to them I just seem to always get it".

You also keep an eye out for this year's Unibet Open London winner who has a lot of work to do if he wants to become back to back champion as he is currently sitting on a stack of 46,200.

eSports player ‘Hotted’ busts early on Day 21418299224_34706423452_730f55d1c6_o(1).thumb.jpg.81262c1d68cff29b5503f2049ae6cb83.jpg

The first hand into Day 2 saw some serious fireworks for Unibet eSports player Alan ‘Hotted’ Widmann.

Starting the day with around 40,000 in chips, he managed to get a massive triple up on the very first hand, when he squeezed his 99 and got callers from AK and AQ. A 9 came on the flop and that was that, not even an A on the turn saved the other players.

He got up to nearly 120,000 chips and when catching up with him at his table he said:

“I don’t just want to min-cash, I’m going for it all!”

However, just a few short hands later, disaster struck for Alan. In a 3-bet pot pre, he was on the wrong end of a two-pair over two-pair situation, when his KJ was defeated by his opponents AK.

When asked about the bust out hand, he replied: "Feels bad man."

Indeed it does Alan. But still, making Day 2 is intself no easy feat, so he does need some recognition for that.

The bubble is looming...

We're only around an hour into play here on Day 2 of the Unibet Open Copenhagen, yet we've seen a number of bust outs in the early stages. With there being 83 players left and only 53 of them getting paid, it's unmistakable to say that the bubble is on its' way. And for all poker players, avoiding the bubble is something you always want to do.

However, making the money here in Copenhagen will mean more to some than it will to others.

Regular grinders and pros with a huge bankroll may just see it as an opportunity to go on to the next one. But for those small time players who may have won a package online or satellited into this event for a cut price, making the money will be a huge win for them, both monetarily and for their confidence in their own poker game.

We will be reporting on the bubble as soon as hand for hand play begins.

Dara O'Kearney busts

The final Unibet Ambassador left in this year's Unibet Open Copenhagen Main Event has busted early on Day 2.

Dara O'Kearney made Day 2 with a short stack and the hope and grinding it up into something workable. However, he just couldn't get the run of cards he needed as he becomes another casulaty here on Day 2.

Gabriel couldn't find his clubs

With the flop coming out 583there was only one thing on Denis Sahin Skjalm who was sitting with 83 in his hand and with a stack of around 153,600 he decided to go all in. Receiving just the one call from Gabriel Stoica who turned over K6♣ sat hoping on the club draw to come out.

The turn and river came 98♦ to complete the board as 58398. This gave Sahin a double up to around 320,000 once the earlier pot had been counted into the all in pot making his stack very comfortable as we edge closer to the bubble being burst.

Back to Back London Final Tabler looking to push on32969864392_22f85f6105_o.thumb.jpg.b138f59ccf0f487e5d9b0ec86ba2ef18.jpgBhavin Khatri who made back to back Final Tables in the last two Unibet Open London's has vowed to push on and get another cash or indeed a final table under his belt here in Copenhagen on Day 2.

He currently sits with a stack of around 115,000 and is looking to make yet another deep run in a Unibet event.

He had quite the eventful lead up to Day 2 when playing Day 1A, making a huge hero call for a sizeable pot with only Jack high, and it was correct.

In addition to this, he also witnessed a controversial hand involving a called misdeal by the floor. When the hand had been dealt, it was apparent that the button had 3 cards instead of 2. After asking what happened, the button had apparently took one of the small blinds cards and after the floor was called and they announced a misdeal, chaos ensued.

The player in Seat 5 was furious with the decision, and started to shout and so on. He revealed he had AA. The player directly next to him then said: "Well I would've been in trouble!" and showed AK.

Bhavin then later revealed that if the hand was dealt properly, he would've had KK.

Speaking about it to him afterwards, he said:

"I just seem to run well lately in Unibet Events!"

"Not just because of my deep runs and cashes at London but because of things like this."

"If the hand wasn't called a misdeal my tournament would've been over."

Bhavin now wants to make it three Unibet final tables, and it seems he's running good enough for that to happen.

The players have just come back from their first break, and we're only 13 people off the money. Hand for hand and bubble updates coming soon.

At the first break

Expect players  ranges to get tighter as those with shorter stacks try to avoid being the player that bursts the bubble for everyone else.

Zoltan is still standing

After the pre-flop kept Zoltan Boszormenyi in the pot with Preben Timmermann and another player, being last to act he was happy to see a check and a bet on the flop which had come out 976 and followed by going all in.

The 3rd player folded and Boszormenyi got a call from Timmermann who turned over QQ vs AA in Boszormenyi' hand.

Following that the turn and river came 103to complete the board as 976103. Losing Timmerman around 70,000 of his stack as he doubled his opponenet up and leaving himself a lot of work to do if he wants to keep his tournament alive.

Lepik strikes again34791824981_e922f8824b_o.thumb.jpg.d680ff97789573195981b8261aff83a7.jpg

Day 1B chip leader and chip leader overall going into Day 2 won another monstrous pot of around 400,000, knocking out former EPT winner Jasper Meijer Van Putten.

In an especially sick hand, Lepik raised UTG+1, around 9,000. Jasper in the CO then 3-bet to around 20,000. Lepik thought for a bit and then announced raise, making a 4-bet to around 45,000 to 50,000. Jasper started the hand with roughly 200,000, and decided to flat Lepik's 4-bet in positon.

Flop comes down: K Q 8

Lepik now interestingly checks. Jasper takes the betting lead and bets around one third pot which Lepik snap shoves over, only to hear a snap call back from Jasper!

They showdown, and Jasper shows A A to the sighs and grunts of Lepik who shows A K.

But that wasn't the end, the turn and river were still to come.

A 4 on the turn brought Lepik nine clean outs to make the nut flush, as well as the two other kings left in the deck.

River comes: 3 BOARD READS: K Q 8 4 3

Lepik apologises to his opponent who quickly gets up and walks away. And with that sick pot, Lepik now has a top 3 chip stack with around 575,000.

Can he go all the way and take it down here in Copenhagen? Let us know your thoughts.

Timmermann can't get there

Not long after losing a considerable chunk of his stack Preben Timmermann had his table broken and was hoping his new table would bring him more luck.

In an early position he shoved his new shortish stack in getting two calls one a re-shove from Marcus Pistelli Vertling and the other was from table chip lead George McDonald.

The players then turned their hands to reveal Timmermann with KQ Vertling with AQ and McDonald with 1010. The board came out 25753, giving McDonald two pair and ending the tournament for the other two players as he continues on his journey towards the final table.

One from the bubble1038556782_WhatsAppImage2017-05-27at16_37_56.thumb.jpeg.d295c8df98b63a53cc26c9cfa79ab4a7.jpeg

The second break of the day has just finished with players having returned to their seats knowing that the tournament needs to lose just one player for them to reach the cash.

With the bubble so close to bursting everyone will be wanting to make sure that they reach the cash and can then kick on from there.

Two players who surely won't need to worry about the one who bursts the bubble are Kaarel Lepik sitting on 670,000 and Monica Vaka on 650,000

Online qualifier, to Unibet Brighton Champ, to UO Copenhagen Champ??

34925371565_108cb3ff7f_o.thumb.jpg.3291e4cf0329f5d82abc93a3b775cb99.jpgMateusv Krzyzewski from Poland is currently still in the Unibet Open Copenhagen Day 2 and has made the money. But the story of how he came to be here playing goes back all the way to him playing on his laptop.

33500961216_e9a04afcae_o.thumb.jpg.7895d94fb6acc4b44a3af130dff29942.jpgOne €25 satellite win was all that was needed for the Pole to enter into the £200 + £20 Unibet UK Tour Brighton. And he sure did get his value for money.

Out of 261 players which included six Unibet Ambassadors, Mat managed to take first prize and scoop over £14,000.

It's obviously nice to see the qualifiers doing what they should in bringing new names to the circuit and creating these kinds of stories.

But now we come to the next chapter.

Mateusz has around 200,000 in chips which is significantly below the tournament average, but still a workable stack as it is still 25bbs.

After catching up with him earlier, he had this to say:
"I won in Brighton then they brought me here, and now I'm running deep here too!"

"I always enjoy coming to these sorts of events but my aim is to now go for the win again."

It's certainly not impossible, and if he could go from satellite winner, to UK tour winner, to Unibet Open winner, it would be an incredible feat.
