Today will be a late day for the players, we start at 18.00 and we will play 16 levels á 30 min. The first two levels are 100/100 and 100/200 and in 12 min, level 3, it will be 100/200 with a 200 big blind ante.

So far its 61 players registered but with late reg open for another 3hour 45 min & 1 reentry allowed per player/day that number is expected to rise alot.

Early hit for me. Down to 21k from 30k starting. Called raise with 2 2 to see a magical 2 4 4 flop. He was happily barrelling away and I was happily calling until another 4 hit the river to give his overpair the pot. Maybe I could bet big on the river and turn my unbeatable hand into a bluff, but I think he calls nearly any pair.

Out!!!! Lost a decent pot 1010 to KQ to a guy just floating 100% flops and turns. Rivers K. He had well over 100k in chips already. Pushed last 9k over 1300 raise with 99. Guy called half stack with A5... hit the ace. Not sure if I just got a dodgy table but Overall I’ve seen probably the worst play in just a few hours I’ve ever seen in this level of buyin. Shame I was on the wrong side of luck to take advantage.

just one of those nights. I’ll hang round casino tonight for a bit and give some updates or if anyone wants a drink @PompeyPoker and I’ll be back on Sunday to see who’s made it!

Im out aswell, accidently found myself in a pot I did not plan to be in and got a tiny bit to creative 🤫

I had just been moved table for the fifth time & had just sat down at the chair when the dealer says its me to act, I look down at the cards and have ajo utg+2 . Bb is 1600 and i make it 3500, then the dealer says i have to put in 300 more and i realice that utg had already opened the pot to 3800, very awkward i have to put in the 300 more and make a call with ajo in utg+2 23bb deep. I say oops and "❤️♥️❤️ i missed that it was opened" so the whole table is aware of that and we move on. Utg was mayby 40-50bb deep and maestro is on the button with a big stack aswell. He looks at his cards and goes for a squeeze to 14k, i have 32k behind after making my accident call of 3.8k and blinds are 1600/800 with a 1600 big blind ante, utg thinks for a bit and goes for the fold, I dislike the situation pretty hard since my inattentivenes just cost me 2.35bb but then I think "hm mayby he is exploiting the fact that im probably weak given the circumstances and is going for a light squeeze", I know Maestro is a very competent player and with so much dead money in the pot I decide I will have some fold equity here, which would have been true if I had 35bb, not 23bb...

A painfull couple of minutes goes by while he trys to nail down my range and eventually he makes the call with AQo. I am just making assumptions now but I think he puts me on AQ+ and 99+ making him priced in with his AQ, and it was a happy (& quite shooking) surprise for everybody when I turned over AJo.

Whitout being result oriented I can say that it was definatly a mistake from me to shove the hand being so short and his call was really good, but I do like the way I thought in game even if I ended up comming to the wrong conclusions. Also I have another bullet ;)

Good luck everybody still in, and I will be back tomorrow with a new starting stack and hopefully fewer mistakes

Update after day 1A, out of the 91 entries (including re-entries) only 12 people got through as a consequence of the 30 minute clock (40 on day 2) and the 16 levels of play.

Out of all the community players that revealed themselves ( some might be playing incognito) only maestro got through with 240 ish k, around average stack. Most of us are trying again on day 1B, while some are just enjoying some outdoors time with the family.

Maybe more updates to come but no promises

Thinking out loud and after a few beers...

Hypothetically... what if the tournament had enough runners to pay 27 but at the penultimate blind level tonight there was only 15 left??

everyone is in the money but half the field isn’t playing... but they can’t just not play that final blind level. Not even sure if it’s possible but from someone who doesn’t play live poker much can anyone tell me what would happen? Lol
