Welcome!23880908297_f743f699d0_o.thumb.jpg.8e7e1e984e069bfaa6b50c72bb525675.jpgGood morning everyone, hope you're all well!

Welcome to Day 1B of the main event here in Bucharest.

Play is due to start at 11am local time and today gives players their last chance to enter the main event and make Day 2 for a chance to win a piece of that huge €500,000 guaranteed in the prize pool.

Today will see the rest of the Unibet ambassadors take their seats who didn't play Day 1A such as David Lappin, Ian Simpson and Dara O'Kearney who unfortunately bubbled the final table of the high roller last night, but still cashed for over €4700.

The Unibet eSporters will also take their seats today, they include Sophia 'Djarii' White, Alan 'Hotted' Widmann and the e-sport battle royale winner from yesterday Fredrik Bergmann.38746300111_485b260905_o.thumb.jpg.f4d7cd24264897e93986dfe132d0534a.jpgIt is expected to be a busy one today, and with late registration open until the end of level seven, we should see plenty of entrants before the day is up.

As always get involved by liking and replying to these posts with thoughts on hands played or any requests on who you want following as well as general feedback as I am always happy to listen and accomodate whatever you guys may want publishing here on the community blog.

eSports Battle Royale take two!?

We have just finished the first level here in Buchraest and blinds are up to 100/200 with a 25 ante.

Two players that sat down not long ago and happened to be at the same table were Unibet eSporters Thijs Molendijk and Alan 'Hotted' Widmann, fresh from their eSports battle royale yesterday.23879735077_5024f30eec_o.thumb.jpg.f251c0f6b1574bfa1bc224b907d0646b.jpg

Thijs came 2nd yesterday in the battle royale and will be hoping he can get something going early on Day 1B of the main event.

Alan however couldn't get anything going yesterday, and has not had the greatest of starts today, after getting coolered boat vs high boat. He lost around 8k in chips but still has over 100bbs to work with.

He also cashed the Unibet Open in Copenhagen in May and so will be hoping to get another cash un34706423452_730f55d1c6_o.thumb.jpg.fa3b5b9fb04a1060b678ff167d30241b.jpgder his belt.

Tellving makes a good start

Henrik Tellving is up to around 50,000 in chips as we get closer to the end of the 2nd level here in Bucharest.

With blinds at 100/200, utg made a meaty raise to 700 which as swiftly 3 bet to 2,700 by utg+3. Henrik then flatted his button, and the original raiser folded, so heads up we went to the flop which came: 6♣️ 5♣️ 9♣️

Naftali Zvi who was utg+3, c-bet for 3,000, which Henrik quickly called. Turn: J♦️

Naftali now slows down and checks, to which Henrik thinks for a second, and then bets 6,000. After a little think, Naftali calls and we go to the river.

RIver: 2♦️  BOARD: 6♣️ 5♣️ 9♣️ J♦️ 2♦️

Naftali checks again, and Henrik bets 14,000, which for this stage of the tournment is very large, as it was around two thirds of Naftali's remaining stack.

After a long tank, Naftali eventually calls, and Henrik shows J♣️ J♠️ for a turned set and Naftali sighs and mucks.

For those who don't know of Henrik, he was the unfortunate bubble boy of the final table at the European Open Special Edition in Las Vegas in September. He stil took home just under $10,000 for his troubles.36770523633_f8afbedf31_o.thumb.jpg.61f7b87adea580205607613abb0b626a.jpg

What do you think of this hand? What sorts of hands is Naftali calling with on the river? Let me know by commenting on this thread.

Ambassador update

Play has just resumed on Day 1B of the main event and the four Unibet ambassadors in the field have had mixed starts.

36679381331_a6380fc67f_o.thumb.jpg.998bec14d246cd3ffa8c25665f0e40a1.jpgRauno 'Ben' Tahvonen - also know as 'Estonian Jesus', has made the best start, as he's up to 42,000. Dara O'Kearney hasn't really played much and is on around 28,000, while David Lappin and Ian Simpson could have had better starts as they are down to 23,000 and 16,300 respectively.

There is a long way to go yet though, here's to hoping all the ambassadors can make it through to Day 2. Good luck guys!

Lepik on the charge23884483677_d38f482a69_o.thumb.jpg.c2e9bde1fa87f8af4b77e1cdabeb25c7.jpg

Unibet Open Copenhagen winner Kaarel Lepik has just scooped a near 45,000 chip pot and has made the bet of starts to a potential double crown here in Bucharest.

After a player utg+2 opened for 700, Kaarel called in the HJ and we went heads up to the flop.

Flop: K:Clubs: J:Diamonds: 3:Diamonds:

The original raisier c-bet for 1,500, and Kaarel quickly called.

Turn: 7:Clubs:

Utg+2 bets 3,000 and Kaarel quickly puts 3x 5,000 chips in the middle which is enough to put the original raiser all-in.

The player thinks for a little bit before calling and showing AA. Kaarel shows 33 for a flopped set of threes, and the river is a 8:Diamonds:, making the board:

K:Clubs: J:Diamonds: 3:Diamonds: 7:Clubs: 8:Diamonds:  and the set holds.

With that pot, Lepik will be up there with the big stacks in the room as he has around 50,000. He'll be hoping to make a great run here like he did when he won the Unibet Open in Copenhagen in May and took home over 562,000 DKR which is equivalent to around €75,000.

eSporters update

The Unibet eSporters have had mixed starts to the day here in Bucharest, with Kevin 'Papaplatte' Teller and Fredrik 'Bergie' Bergmann making better starts than the rest.

23879735607_57deddc9bc_o.thumb.jpg.7894bf7fff356872bedcb5fb7565eeae.jpgKevin not long ago scooped a pot when he induced a bluff on the river and quickly called with trip aces, and Fredrik earnt most of his stack after flopping quads earlier in the 3rd level. Must be nice!

Elsewhere, Sophia 'Djarii' White is struggling to get going so far on Day 1B, she is nursing a stack of 17,000 which although is still over 40bbs, it is also still 13,000 down on what she started with. Alan 'Hotted' Widmann is also struggling to get going, as he sits on around 19,000.

Thijs Molendijk has just above starting stack and seems to be enjoying himself on the felt, not sure if that has anything to do with Hotted being to his left!

Blinds are currently 200/400 with a 50 ante and there is currently around 30 minutes left of this level and the players will once again have a 15 minute break.

Disaster for Hotted!

After a tought start to the day, Unibet eSporter Alan 'Hotted' Widmann is now out of the main event here in Bucharest.

It all started with a raise from Thijs utg, which Alan 3-bet to 2,700. The HJ flatted, but Simeon Todorov in the SB had no intetion of flatting along, he 4-bet to 13,500, to which Thijs exclaimed, "Nobody respects me!" and folded his hand.

Back to Alan, and he shoved for around 17,000 so not much more than the 4-bet, to which the HJ quickly folded and Simeon quickly called.

Hotted showed K♣️ K♥️ and Simeon turns over A♦️ K♦️

Flop: 4♦️ 6♣️ 3♦️ Simeon could now hit any diamond or any ace to scoop the pot and knock out Hotted, and sure enough the A♥️ on the turn did just that. The river came 2♠️ and after getting it in very good against one overcard to his pocket pair, Hotted was out.

Unlucky Alan, sucks to lose with kings, maybe next time!

We lose Bergie!

Another Unibet eSporter has fallen here in Bucharest.

Fredrik 'Bergie' Bergmann has busted after starting well and getting up to 55,000.

He lost most of his chips in a key pot where he hit the 2nd nut flush and ran into a full house. It was then a case of a good read going wrong when his oppenent rivered a gut shot to take the remainder of his chips.

Unlucky Fredrik, the title of eSport battle royale champion will have to do for this trip!

Djarii takes down a nice pot

At least something is going right for one of the Unibet eSporters!

Sophia 'Djarii' White just scooped in a pot of around 35,000 and now has over 75,000 chips after flopping a set with TT.

34830227876_6f84c08415_o.thumb.jpg.95b8fbb010a812f60bd4fa8d639078e0.jpgShe let the pre-flop aggresor bet two streets and she just flatted on the button which brought the SB in until the river. When the river brought in a flush draw, Djarii saw both players check to her. But instead of going for value she played it safe and checked it back and showed the winner against an insta-muck from the SB, and KQ suited for the the pre-flop aggressor whose top pair was no good. The board was K♥️ T♣️ 7♠️ 8♣️ 4♣️

Very nice hand Djarii! Some might say it's a bit too cautious checking back the river there, but what do you think? Was she right to be cautious or should she have gone for more value on the river? Reply to this thread and let me know your thoughts.

We lose Iany!

36800364985_b6538c75f1_o.thumb.jpg.3534b145101a1ca894c18304dca59453.jpgWe have finally lost an ambassador here on Day 1B of Unibet Open Bucharest, and unfortunately that ambassador is Ian Simpson.

In a battle of the blinds, Ian found himself betting 9,000 on the turn, and the SB called. The river came and so the board was:

9♥️ 3♥️ 7♠️ T♥️ 4♦️

After a SB check, Ian shoved for 15,300, and the SB tanked for a little bit and then called, to Ian's dismay.

Ian turned over K♥️ 5♠️ for a turned flush draw that missed the river and the SB turned over J♠️ 9♣️ to scoop the pot.

Unlucky Iany, sometimes you just don't get there.

BREAK

Notable names and stack sizes

Players have just returned from a dinner break here in Bucharest, so I thought it'd be an apt time to give you the stack sizes of a few notable names who are still left in.

Unibet ambassadors Dara O'Kearney, David Lappin and Rauno Tahvonen still remain, as do Unibet eSporters Sophia 'Djarii' White, and Kevin Teller, otherwise known as 'Papaplatte' to his twitch followers. Kevin is actually in a very good spot, as he has a stack that's way above average.23879735607_57deddc9bc_o.thumb.jpg.dd4129d57d8272db67e67217d219cdb7.jpg

However, bad news for Thijs fans, as he unfortunately busted a few hands before the break began.

What follows is a list of notable names still remaining in the tournament and their stack sizes.

Unibet ambassadors:

Dara O'Kearney - 105,000

David Lappin - 77,000

Rauno Tahvonen - 52,000

Unibet eSports:

Kevin Teller - 135,000

Sophia White - 45,000

Other names:

Olvedo Heinze (High roller winner) - 48,000

Kaarel Lepik (Copenhagen winner) - 57,000

Henrik Tellving (Vegas 10th place) - 175,000

Elvis has left the building...and has given his chips to Doke!26988574689_c59ebd685f_o.thumb.jpg.17bced0c79da88e7562de98df83e8f95.jpgUnibet ambassador Dara O'Kearney has pretty much doubled up here in the main event in Bucharest.

He knocked out Romanian player Elvis Pectu, after Elvis raised pre and Dara 3-bet from the big blind before Elvis 4-bet and Dara 5-bet jammed and Elvis called it off to see the bad news that he was way behind.

The board ran out: 3♠️ 5♣️ A♣️ 5♦️ Q♣️ and Doke scooped in a pot of nearly 200,000, putting him among the tournament chip leaders.

The second time in two days that Elvis has felt the wrath of Doke, as he knocked him out of the high roller last night too!

A great pic up for Dara, who now looks poised to make Day 2 with a very workable stack.

We also have a new chip leader here in Bucharest. Alexander Ioan is in the lead after a double knock out with pocket kings propelled him to 250,000.

Djarii busts against aces34830227876_3833ac188f_z.jpg.5629f7ad52ae67dea8fec7df6cc96544.jpg

Unibet eSporter Sophia 'Djarii' White has been knocked out of the Unibet Open Bucharest main event.

She did well to make it this far, and was the 2nd longest lasting eSporter of the day.

Her bust out hand involved her seeing a flop with K:Hearts: T:Hearts: and flopping top par against Bogdan Ionescu who unfortunately for Djarii, had aces. The turn and river bricked out for her, and she became yet another casualty here on Day 1B. Unlucky Sophia.

'Papaplatte' Kevin Teller is now the longest lasting eSporter and has a nice stack too. He is currently on the feature table but will be being moved after the next players break which is very very soon.
