Good afternoon everyone! Today we crown our fourth Unibet Poker UK Tour champion of the 2017 season as we play down to a winner here at the Rendezvous Casino, Brighton.

We have seen a massive 316 entries over the two starting days which have created a record-breaking UK Tour prize pool of £63,200 and a first place prize of £16,450.

Today, 75 players return to try and emulate Mateusz Krzyzewski, Andrew Mckenzie and Russell Betts by going all the way to victory and winning the added value 2000 euro European Open package on top of the winner's share of the prize pool.

Paul Scorer, who already has a Unibet Brighton final table to his name, is the start of day chip leader with 316k. Day 1a chip leader Sachin Joshi (287,500) and Unibet ambassador Ben 'Estonian Jesus' Tahvonen (245k) are close behind him.

Day 2 will see 32 players make the money places with a minimum cash worth £440.

The play is set to begin at 2pm with the 40-minute levels beginning at blinds of 1.2k/2.4k/ 300 ante.

@AaronMcB what's the amount of Unique players that registered? So without rebuys counted.

And the table draw triggered my OCD some of them have a "thousands" comma and some don't :p

I see now that the circumstances of ones birth are irrelevant... It is what you do with the gift of life that determines who you are.

Ian Simpson has seen his Aces cracked early on Day 2 whilst in blind-on-blind action.

Ian saw a 10 7 4 rainbow flop from the BB and a 8 ♣️ turn for the backdoor flush draw. Ian raised to 11,600 after a 4k bet from the SB which was called.

On the 5 river, the SB moved all-in for 20k which Ian called and was unlucky to see his opponent had rivered a straight with a holding of 86o.

Since then, Iany has been able to regain what he lost after an over shove on the turn into a 30k pot which his opponent decided not to call.

It's been a cautious start here in Brighton with just four players departing in the opening level.

Local player Chris Barnes was among that group after starting Day 2 with 25 big blinds.

The average stack is currently 111k, with blinds now up to 1.6k/3.2k/400 ante.

Two more players have departed from the field and unfortunately for those that rail @NMPFan and William 'HensiePensie' Hens it is bad news.

Both have exited the event in the second level of Day 2 in quite dramatic fashion.

Firstly, Hensie moved all-in for 13bb from UTG+1 and was called by an opponent in MP.

Hensie was in a flip with K10s vs. pocket nines and the flop was huge for him as it came K 10 7.

Having survived Day 1 by spiking two outs it was Hensie's turn to be on the end of a brutal turn card as the 9 was revealed to give his oppoent the lead with a set.

There was no help on river and we lose William who was looking for his fourth Unibet cash in the last 12 months.

For @FeelsBadMan it was to be a massive pot after he min-raised UTG.

He was 3bet from MP and made the call with the flop falling Q ♣️♠️♠️

Adrian @FeelsBadMan Nica lead out for 10k and was raised to 25k. Nica decided to 4bet to 70k and was ultimately shoved on.

Nica's opponent had him covered but he decided to call.

It was top set for his opponent with QQ and Nica's AA was not in good shape.

Holding the A of Spades the turn gave him hope as a ♠️ fell.

As the river was revealed it was to be the only spade that would not save him as the dealer turned over the Q  ♠️ to give Nica's opponent Quads and eliminate the Nottingham leg runner-up.

It won't be a back-to-back UK Tour final table for the Romanian, who was one of the lucky Unibet qualifiers to take part at the special EO in Las Vegas last month.

The field has been cut to 60 players as level 15 gets underway.

Those to depart in the last level include Kelly Saxby.

The Pokerstars Live ambassador will have a second opportunity at a Unibet title today when she takes part in the £50 Ladies event at 4 pm.

Blinds are 2k/4k/500 ante with the avg. stack at 131k.

Elsewhere, Unibet's Daiva Byrne has doubled her starting day stack of 40k after rivering a flush.

After the BTN opened the action she moved all-in from the SB. The BB decided to call, as the BTN folded, and she was behind to AQ with KT suited.

She saw a very nice flop as her flush draw came and she hit her much needed ♣️ on the river to win the pot.

There is a lot of all-ins happening on Table 1 right now.

Daiva shoved on her fellow ambassador Ian Simpson after he opened from MP but he quickly folded when the action was back on him.

Ian himself then moved all-in from MP and gave Simon @sgriff Griffin a tough decision on the BTN.

The 54k shove was for 13bb and after some thought @sgriff let his hand go. What do you think he was holding?

Maybe Simon will let us in on the secret at the break!? :haha:

We have lost Willie Elliot just before the break after an interesting hand involving Ben Tahvonen.

Willie moved all-in for 48k (12bbs) and Ben made the call from the BTN.

The BB then went into thought mode before announcing all-in for an additional 150k.

Ben decided to let his hand go after the dealer confirmed the amount and the BB tabled pocket Aces.

Willie needed a lot of help with KJo and flopped a gutshot straight draw when 10 9 5 was shown.

Despite calling for the queen on the turn and river it was not to be for Willie.

We are now 16 places from the money as 48 remain here in Brighton.

There is £1,050 in the prize pool and £500 in added Unibet online tickets up for grabs!

Alongside Daiva in the Main Event, we have Sinead Priestley & Jessica Whittington Seren repping the ladies.

Colin Bidwell and Paul Scorer have just each earnt themselves a £100 Unibet UK Tour online ticket after eliminating Daiva Byrne and Ian Simpson from the field respectively.

Daiva will now join the Ladies event that she has promoted brilliantly and Ian has a lot to be happy about this weekend, despite not cashing, after two hugely successful seminars! :atisfied:

We are in the money at Unibet UK tour Brighton after a bubble that lasted nearly an hour.

David Lappin was the shortest stack in the room for a long period on the bubble but survived alongside Michael Coombes and Simon Koekemoer who doubled up when at risk.

All remaining 32 players are guaranteed £440.

Players to be eliminated before the money spots include @ChapInAChair, Jessica Whittington Seren and Sinead Priestley.

David Vanderheyden, Ben Tahvonen and Tom Simm remain in the field.

As expected we have had a flurry of exits post-bubble.

Antonio Casula, Akram Edkaidek,  online qualifier Jakob Linden and Unibet ambassador David Lappin all take home £440 here in Brighton.

We will have chip count updates shortly.

After that intense bubble and several quickfire eliminations, the 26 remaining players have gone on a well-deserved break.

One man who has turned his fortunes around in dramatic fashion is Robert Dymek.

Dymek had just three big blinds (30k) when the bubble burst and since then has been able to find several double ups to take his stack to an incredible 560k!

Unibet's Estonian Jesus was very active and aggressive with his play during the bubble which has launched his stack up to 650k.

The last two players to exit in the £440 payout bracket were Andy Norman and Oliver Mcdonald.
