Hi!

A couple of days ago I received an e-mail from UnibetOpen to say that I qualified for the EO and had to fill in a registration form. Of course I did this immediately and got verification a couple of minutes later. So far so good, and the €750 travel expenses also found a way to my account less than an hour later. Now, as you can imagine, I'm very excited to go, but I'm a bit scared to book my flight, since it's hard to tell whether I got guaranteed of a place in the hotel and a place at the tables. Would more information follow or it is normal that it's all a bit vague? Obviously, I would like to book my ticket as soon as possible, since if I book it today, the €750 would still cover about 85% of the actual ticket price. Can anybody look into this and confirm this for me? I'm always a bit skeptical and since this would be my first ever live tournament, I'm very nervous and extremely excited :)

I've been to four UO stops so far, and yes I'm not autothrized from the staff and what not, but be reassured that Unibet is actually providing you a full package in case you've actually won one. In fact, I've even once somehow managed to not respond the mail where you pick the starting day and thus automatically was picked for Day 1A (obviously meant to play Day 1B). Had all kinds of problem at the hotel and casino because of that, but Unibet staff was always there to help me out. I can only give you my personal opinion, but i think that you can 100% book your flight and feel safe that you'll arrive at the hotel and everything will be pre-arranged.

Just make sure you answered the mail where you pick the starting day, otherwise a ton of missunderstandings might occur i can tell you :laugh: But even so, back then @DavidP_Unibet was there to help me out before he became head of poker. Thx for that david in case you remember,  I was the lost german guy in copenhagen 2016.

Even though your message does calm me down a bit, I'm still stuck with some worries... But I know the people on the community do their best to answer and solve every problem. I did fill in the registration, but all I got back was my (filled-in) registration form and the €750. I was just wondering if that would be all that I will receive or maybe something more 'confirmed', if you know what I mean :D I'm a bit scared they will find some kind of mistake and I would have to pay back the travel expenses when I already got my ticket; or I would arrive there and they see something was wrong or I don't know... Maybe I'm too much of a pessimist :) And to be honest, I would also like to present some papers to my college if possible.

Anyway, I'm sure you were not the first and definitely not the last person who was a bit lost on arrival :D

I have to agree with you that it would be appropriate from them to send a mail which is more assuring that you're booked :)

But you are :D you can be sure of that. The fact that they sent you the expense money means that the request has been processed, and that you're registration has been completed.

But if that's more of a comforting feeling, then I'm sure that @Marco-Unibet or @Jeppe-Unibet will be able to confirm for you :D

Thanks for the message. I had to book my ticket today, so I guess there is no way back :D Guess for the next time I now know that I don't have to expect more of a confirmation.

I'm sorry about the late reply, @audaxx - had to get the players list before I could confirm anything.

The hotel room is booked for you and you're included in the players list. If you experience any issues across the pond, there'll be Unibet staff to help you out.

I'll send a confirmation email within long :) You can just reply to the email in case you need any further details.

Don't worry about it, you have no idea how much this simple message calms me down :) it's all just a bit nsw and exciting for me, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I also got your mail so I guess for now I know what I need to know, thank you! Hopefully we'll get the chance to meet at a future UO event since you won't be in vegas.
