two factor authentication

hi guys!

came to share my opinion about this topic!

imo in this day and age it is necessary to have a secure account on any given website not even speaking about those where people keep money!! so please find a way to introduce some 2FA method on unibet. it can be via sms/token/google authenticator i do not mind which one just want to feel safe about my money on your site!!!

thanks forward!

I don't need anymore hasttle to log in. You can always withdraw your money after session if you are afraid. Some sites ask second authentication when you enter site with new device, that ain't so bad since it is only one time thing but to do it every time with site kicking you out after 30 minutes of inactivity, nooooo.

Besides, i haven't read single case that someone managed to log in to someone elses account and withdraw money to their own account. Not saying that it never hasn't happened, i just haven't seen any of that. Even if someone could enter your account, they would have hard time withdrawing your money cause they usually must be withdrawn same method thqt deposit is made.

So imo you can feel safe if you just use your own devices and change your pw time to time.

I agree that 2FA would be a great addition. If my mail has it I think a place that involves money should have it too.

@Livertool I think it's better to have the option than not have it at all. It shouldn't be mandatory if you don't want it.

In some countries you can't deposit and withdraw as you wish as there are fees and taxes involved. Even if people can't withdraw the money there can be some bad actors that can punt off all your money that would be pretty bad too.

@Esir

Sure just as bad if someone plays your money, gone in both cases. Teardrop

But anyways, they have spywares to get around even banks authentications (which i would imagine are way tougher to get around than other 2fas) so nothing is for sure safe. Taking care of what sites you go, emails you open or things you download etc should keep you on safer side on things. I just prefer things more smooth than complicated (and in the end it will probly bite me in the a$$ Rofl )

@Livertool : "You can always withdraw your money after session if you are afraid." - not really. you have to pay some rake before u withdraw. (i do not know the exact amount, depending on the deposit)

and as @Esir mentioned it would not be mandatory, those who hold a couple of hundreds or less why would bother with more safety.

in 2021 it is a must option to have if they wanted to keep up with the rest of the competition!

Ain't against more safety but if it makes thing more complicated with little benefit then i find it useless. If someone gets hold of your email or phone and second verification is made with those too, then they are good for nothing. Sure someone can guess your pw or get it from another route but making pw stong enough and changing it sometimes is big way to more security.

A lot of social media platforms use 2FA yet constantly you see accounts hacked so i am not so sure how much they improve security. Once again better way to improve your security is to improve your security yourself than rely you are safe with 2FA. Just my opinion.

Or maybe you guys should stop playing in public libraries and change your PW from "Pass1234" to something like "khsd1_2kdhf"! Laugh

@Livertool  is right about the fact that I don't really need to be hassled more to log into my account. For 2 weeks now, Unibet wants to verify my 5 year old account, yet the only option they're offering me, I cannot use. Puking So I don't really trust Unibet to implement a working solution that doesn't mess up the playing experience of its players...

@WuDu  you are using same pass as me Speechless that is quite suspicious I was 🤔 that I have it alone for myself ...

@WuDu i only play on my PC and even using capitals in all my PWs Wink thanks for your educated advices!

ofc this would be an option to use!!!

i see recreationals do not want more hustle when logging in once a week. they do not have the 2 sec extra time before losing their hard earned money.

Sure no harm if it would be optional but if they would take effort to make this happen, why would they give xtra effort to make it optional? I assume they use every tool they have that customers accounts are safe, benefits them too. And if they would see this major security threat, i bet we would have 2FA already.

All sites i use, PS is only on that has 2FA everytime, Coolbet when using new device so the comment that Unibet gets left behind when comparing other sites don't make sense either.

everyone can has own opinion/preference i accept that. i am quite paranoid when money involved. better be safe than sorry (ofc everything can be hacked)!

on my Betfair account someone from Brasil tried a few times (in the last 4 month) to log into my account but failed. there i have 2FA. i do not know if i didin't have what could happened. i have no clue (but hardly doubt) if somehow could get my PW there. having a second barrier makes me feel better!

Sure opinions may vary and if xtra authentication solves some problem we have, i am up for it.

But i've had accounts over 20 years and none of them breached nor do i know that it is major issue so i don't see we have problem here to solve. Sure it is good to try to stay ahead scammers and create systems that are safe as they can be but there is thin line between improving for some cause and improving just for sake of improving and making things more complicated that they have to be.
