You don't earn loyalty in a day. You earn loyalty day- by- day.

I have been a member of the Unibet Community now for 2 weeks and it is clear to me that  Unibet Community is a fantastic feature with endless possibility and i can only predict great things for the future . The Unibet Community is unique and needs to remain unique to Unibet . No other website of this type offers anything close to what has been achieved and  it is only possible to maintain with the support and loyalty of its members . Unibet Community brings people together into a social environment where they can interact with others and pass on their opinions GOOD OR BAD with a focused maintained goal of making everyone's gaming experience the best it can be. It has also become clear to me within these first couple of weeks that at its core there is a handful of members who go above and beyond with their efforts and loyalty to the Unibet Community and in my opinion they should be rewarded for it .  The Unibet Community is a great way of killing time in between poker tournaments , casino , bingo or sports betting and if it was not for the content supplied by members such as @GR1ZZL3R@livertool@psrquack@FreedoM@AndreiBN (AND OTHERS) it would not be possible

They never fail to comment on every post  in any topic by any member . If a member is looking for help ..... they will help them..

If they are looking for advice ..... they will advise them.... or even if they just want to know all about  DUCKS @psrquack (QUACK)  you can rest assured they will reply back.

The current method used to promotion members for their loyalty is by Rank and Badges which offers better promotions to higher ranked members ..  I would have to agree that using the rank and badges system works perfectly fine at the present time when dealing with the community as a whole,  i would just like to suggest a method of rewarding the members who are a class above the rest with an little something extra  that is fair and available to all .

I suggest a Unibet Community leader board which is available to all members each month using a simple point scoring system to determine the winners .

I was thinking of something like ::  awarding members with 1pt  for every comment , likes, posts etc .. that they make each day combined with a multiplier based on consecutive days a member logs in plays throughout the month .

so.. first day of the month =  1pt per comment, likes.post etc with 1x multiplier ....so..... 1pt x1

second day of the month = 1pt per comment,likes,post etc with 2x multiplier ...... so.... 1pt x2

third day of month                 " " " "     " " " " "      "" " " " "      with 3x multiplier                  1pt x3

 and so on........

if a day is missed and the consecutive days is broken the multiplier reverts back to 1x

It is a simple scoring system at best and i'm sure with the help of some members it could be improved .

All i know for sure is .... "THE CREAM ALWAYS COME TO THE TOP"

Thats so true. It woudl be great if somehow we could unite the group of the Unibet related poker stream viewers with people who comment here. Btw I support your idea, maybe those community points could be reedemble to poker/bingo tickets in the end of the year.

In 2016, we had something similar: A member of the year voting in different categories to reward some outstanding members. Let me put it like this, the overall outcome was suboptimal and such a voting hasn't been repeated since.

The ranks and badges system is nice, but doesn't say anything about the quality of the respective contributions. I'm not looking forward to more 1 reply-topics where members simply try to increase their rank for the next freeroll instead of actually contributing something of value. Because that's exactly what would happen under your proposal...

That's a nice post @stinkingbishop I, and I'm sure many others, appreciate when new members join and get into the spirit of the community, not just using it for "begging letters" and such. I enjoy posting, sharing ideas, competitions etc: but we know the mods are already very busy bees and to physically count all posts and likes and more might be above and beyond the call of duty. Maybe some software could be used, I don't know about such things, but we're always suggesting new ideas and some are put on the back burner as a lot of things take higher priority. There's just the nagging thought that making it competitve might take a bit of shine off such a friendly community, and getting towards the end of the month and realising you're slipping behind and have to come up with more posts just to keep up might lower the standard and make it seem more like work. There used to be a post of the week or month award but that seems to have gone missing lately and I'm sure it's down to workload, this community just keeps growing and growing. A good idea, let's see if anything develops. Thumbs Up

Love the idea but instead of points i would like to receive euros Very Happy

Meh, no need to turn this community to any competition, probably would turn out just like @WuDu said. To me this is just for fun and help members if i can (and occasionally to piss peeps off Cheeky )

But still maybe mods could throw some rewards for some members now and then, if they see that they have deserved it. I guess privatly would be best to do it or otherwise it might bring out bad blood in other members.

Who deserves what the most? The unibetcommunity is a great enhancement to my Unibet experience. Everybody who plays Poker knows that sometimes you need to clear something up or you have a problem that needs to be adressed and the UB-community is a great way to get this done. Definitely better than sending an email to the anonymous customer support at the competition who needs days to respond with a generic, useless message. So I don't really see the need to be "paid" for contributing here.

However, I agree with you, the UBcommunity is of value to Unibet, so it's only fair if the active members get rewarded for that, because without us members, there wouldn't be a community. But that already happens. And while I also agree with you that Unibet could do a better job targetting community members that actually contribute something of value (posting "tikiet plz", "password pliezze", "ty for tikiet" is just worthless trash), your proposal here was simply short-sighted.

During the 10 K celebration, the rank 12 freerolls had 60 participants, the other freerolls had 800 players starting, meaning there are way more guys lurking in the background waiting for free stuff than there are guys contributing here. Any kind of competition or race, similar to the idea you proposed, will backfire big league since you cannot measure the quality of the respective contributions just with numbers.

You want to reward deserving members with something extra? Like I said before,  at the end of 2016, we had a "likes"-competition and the winner with the most likes received in 2016 was to be invited to a Unibet Open event. That sounds like a good idea, doesn't it? What happened? Within one or two hours of the announcement of the competition, one guy posted a fake story about how he's about to play in the WSOP main event the next summer because some old lady decided to stake him and pay his buy-in. Another guy set up a new account and liked all his old posts. Fake Vegas guy actually won the competition and then tried to sell the Unibet package he won for cash to other community members.

My point is, gambling has a knack for attracting shady people, just waiting to game the system and those people should not be encouraged. Unfortunately your proposal would do exactly that...

Really? Rofl

I remember the fake story , didn´t know he was trying to cash it out.

@WuDu Surprise, surprise, I completely disagree with this. The ranks reflect the quality of the contributions very well, and it's pretty much impossible to "game the system" without getting banned. Some contribute with expert knowledge, some with ideas, others with banter etc., but if the community - all us members - don't like the contributions, the road to rank +12 is a marathon/impossible.

Well, I do agree with your most important point; it has to be close to impossible to "cheat", and we shouldn't encourage the people who're solely here for monetary rewards. I actually believe the weekly reward/surprise worked pretty well, as it was a random criteria every week - a shame it's not done anymore.

I'm not a huge fan of an actual rewards system where you earn points, but more "random" rewards would be a good thing.
An automatic setup where you receive offers for reaching specific ranks could work. It shouldn't be anything crazy, but rank 12 could give 12 freespins, rank 15 could reward you with a € 15 freebet, rank 20 a € 20 100 % deposit bonus etc. There shouldn't be any rewards for rank 0-11, but every rank increase from 12 and up could give a little something. This should not be advertised anywhere.

Quite so but once our tickets please and password please friends get wind how long do you think it will be before we're holding a 20,000 members freeroll? Before the end of the year maybe.Rofl

Unibet could offer enhanced promotions available only to members ranked 12+ or a daily poker freeroll open to rank12+ .

I like your idea, @stinkingbishop, and @BonusPater`s too.

It is many great members here, but it surprise me that it was so few players in the high rank freerolls, as @WuDu did mention here too.

Even me who play most in the casino have climbed to rank 17. Not bad for a casino-player as it seems that most members like poker best Smile

Rank 21

@BonusPater

I'm not going to call out any active community members here, but there are quite a few examples where higher ranked members contribute less in quality than lower ranked members, if you compare two of them to each other. You know it and I know it! In addition to that, it's pretty easy to get likes: Just post something like "TY for tikiets and GL to all" and watch what happens if you do that a few times.

The best promos here on the UBcommunity were the fantasy WC promo this summer and the EPL promo in the spring of 2017. I'd like to see more of these.

I'm using my own money to play on Unibet, so if I want to bet, I don't need a freebet. If I want to play a tournament, I don't need a ticket. However having competitions against other members where you can win something extra, maybe a little more than a 5 Euro freebet is something that really interests me.

Same for community poker tournaments. However with a growing community, I'd like to see a strict apartheid system here: Have a promo for the lower ranked members and one for the higher ranked members. Playing a 100 Euro freeroll against 1000 members in the future is a waste of time for me, especially if most of the guys at the table are unknown to me.

Rank 24

@WuDu, agree with most of your post, but I don't agree with the below.

As mentioned in my previous post, there're many ways to contribute with good content - it can be everything from expert advice to simple banter, and each is valuable in their own way. Note that not all likes count for the ranks - the "TY for tikiets post" will very rarely count for anything when it comes to the ranks. Might be that a couple of members deserve to be a few ranks higher/lower, but I can't really think of any examples. Both quality and quantity is important, but quantity alone won't get you anywhere Smile

** where higher ranked members contribute less in quality than lower ranked members** ....

This is the reason I started this post and named it "You don't earn loyalty in a day. You earn loyalty day- by- day." . You both joined Unibet in 2016 and must of seen many people come and go , posting comments like you would find on a toilet wall .Comments like these are pointless , they are not constructive and offer nothing .... This is the problem with the current rank and badge system . They offer nothing but their rank12+ rewards them the same enhanced promotion offers as those who offer so much more . I am new to Unibet community and come back everyday to see whats new and read the comments people have left and its always the same people who have posted .. I see potential of Unibet Community and the benefits it offers but this is only possible because of these few members and thier loyalty is not being rewarded appropriately  using the rank and badge system .

As @BonusPater states ealier "Both quality and quantity is important" ....

What a statement that is ??? coincidentally Each of the members who offer most to the community  offer both quality and quantity . It might be possible to reward these members .. anbody can post a useless comment or click a "like" so its hard to reward members for the quality of the content they are supplying . The rank and badge system rewards members for any old garbage . I think a members rank should be given based on a classification or ranking of someones post  by using a comparative assessment of the quality it offers . This could be achieved by adding a rating system to every post .star.pngby letting members rate other members post   both quality and quantity can be used  to rank a member.

Rank 24

@stinkingbishop you got the ranking formula all wrong. It’s much more complex than you think, and most of your statements are wrong. I can’t disclose any details, but posting garbage simply won’t get you anywhere. There’s no need for a rating system, and there’s a reason Facebook don’t have this or a dislike button - studies show this generally has a very negative effect on online communities (it leads to less activity).

Your quote from my post was an answer to Wudu, as I think he was focusing a lot on quality, when making his statements about some members having a too high rank compared to others Smile

I think it’s really critical that people don’t post on here because they’re hoping to get some sort of offer in return - it should never be the main motivator but just an added benefit.

NB The ability to change avatar and signature is e.g. also tied to the rank

@BonusPater you say I have got the ranking formula all wrong. It’s much more complex than i think, ....maybe it is , I have no idea how the ranking system works , there is no information available .. I'm level 10 at the moment , what I need to do to get to level 11 seems to be top secret information .

I think we are going off the topic abit now ... I don't know what studies show makes a good or bad online community or why Facebook do something or don't do something  ,  I'm trying to get a little extra for thoses who are most loyal ... i'm not even trying to get anything extra for myself ..... I am not trying to bring any type of negativity to the community

This is one of the types of thread I Thumbs Up  reading, it's contributing ideas, discussion, comments and arguments for and against a topic, but one of the main things I notice is that all these are from the higher ranked members. A post from a new member with an idea is commented on by others with rankings no lower than 17 and I know they didn't all get there by posting garbage.  From what I can see it's very easy to get to 10, a few log ins, a couple of posts and likes and you're there but then the work starts. I don't regard it as work though, I started because I enjoy it and still do, and still get that kick when I receive an e-mail informing me of a new badge or suddenly notice that my ranking has gone up a notch simply because I haven't targetted that particular one. I Thumbs Up the fact you never know what type of post will receive what type of badge. Rewards never entered my head, but it is nice when there's a promo or comp appears, just that little bit extra. It appears to me that so many join the community just to see what is on offer, post and Thumbs Up for a week or two, rank up to 12 where they get slightly better rewards, extra freerolls and spins etc, then disappear without trace never to post again unless or until they have a problem. I know some won't have the time or inclination, I do, but there are relatively few that continue onwards and upwards, I'm doing it because IThumbs Up to, and If I get extras for doing so then it's Cool

No systems ever going to be perfect, especially one that is so subjective, how much so I don't know, but I do see problems if it were ever to become member led ratings, obvious pitfalls have been pointed out, but it's good to have ideas kicked around, think tanks sometimes do come up with better systems, though sometimes not. I can't actually think of any way for now to improve the current system as it stands but it's certainly worth the time and effort for discussions. Smile

Confirms many of the comments. However, I wonder what determines whether a post has high quality and what is considered low quality. Can definitely understand that an post like a ”ticket please”is low quality. Seems to be difficult to distinguish between the posts. An entry that I think is of high quality may be that any other member seems to have low quality and on the contrary.

That's a big point @JRE, one man's like is another man's don't care or not bothered when it comes to subjectivity. I see so many threads where likes are given out as a matter of course, traded back and forth with no real thought, ok I do it myself sometimes, so I'm glad to see it's not really a criteria for "winning" rewards or badges. I read somewhere that you can run out of likes for a day. I'm not sure I'll ever get that far, but I really don't know what other system, if any, is possible or practical. I like it when I get liked and like to give likes, but it seems slightly unsatisfactory somehow, it's just there.

@psrquack  how posts in the off topic section count to the ranking system? I think the contribution is zero, but having a clue would be better.

We will never know for sure how the rank and badge system works and I don't think we ever will . If unibet wanted us to know how it works the information would already be there . It might not be confirmed because there is no offical statement but we have just been given something . @BonusPater has just stated  certain sections are indeed excluded  .. its not much but its something . Its enough information to allow me to tell you my thoughts on how it works ( totally wrong i expect)

Like everything else It is all about making money . The idea of providing a community within a gambling website is legendary . Pure genius and i'm sure everyone will agree that Unibet are doing a fantastic job . The community however is provided to us not for our benefit but for the benefits Unibet get out of providing it . If Unibet only wanted to provide a way for members to interact with each other they could of done this alot easier way by providing a simple chat room . Unibet don't offer a chat room because although it would be easier to provide and maintain a chat room they wouldn't profit from it as much as they do by providing us with a community . The difference between a chat room and a community is all to do with how a question is asked and answered . A chat room works using a live messaging service where members can chat to each other using instant messages . A community works by members posting question within a certain topic and waiting for a member to reply (this takes time) . Its the time difference between how long it takes for the answer that is the key , because chat rooms can only work if  members are online at the same time when a question is asked they would receive the answer straight away. This would be great for us but not for unibet . A community is different because members are not online at the same time so when a member asks a question or makes a comment on a post they have to return at a later date to see if anybody has replied . Its the effects this has on members by have to return that Unibet is interested in . members form a bond with each other over time which makes them come back everyday to socialise with people with the same interests ....The interest we all have in common is gambling.. Its bloody brilliant how unibet are using the bonds members form to their advantage . Unibet is a gambling website . They can only make money when members are on their website and the community makes us come back everyday .

If my thoughts are correct the off topic section @psrquack asks about must be one of the certain sections are excluded from rankings. its purpose is to help create bonds between members and nothing more . It would also make sense that the sections unibet do use for rankings are gambling topics : poker , casino , sports betting or bingo

Rank 23

@stinkingbishop I've read in a few threads that off topic posts don't count for likes, it's not really a big secret. Secret

Chat rooms and communities are two completely different things, you wouldn't post hand histories, discuss political elections, run competition threads, or have exchanges like these in a chat room, the chat is here today gone tomorrow sort of thing. I can't imagine @WuDu posting a political discourse or @AndreiBN posting winner after winner Thumbs Up in a chat room This is the ideal place for those, and they and many others are why I enjoy the community. To be honest I think a great deal of chat is just noise and it's not my personal preference, I just choose not to participate.

Having bonds with other members, however tenuous, is another attraction, I may never meet most of them but still feel I know them in some small way. I've been a member for six months now but I Idon't really know anybody, does anybody really know me, I just have a sense of what some of them are like.

I'm not sure how having to log on every day to read replies makes Unibet money, I'm no business man, if I want to  play or gamble that's what I do, if I want to post, read or answer threads that's what I do, I'm not a great multi-tasker. I admire those that do, when I try it usually goes horribly wrong. Angry

I enjoy the community for what it is, if Unibet makes money out of it, fair enough, they are a business, and if they don't want a chat room there will be reasons, business or otherwise, what do others think?

It's good to talk.

Smile
