Whats makes a stream for you?

I would like to hear peoples thoughts on what makes the streams good. I will right some questions for people just to give things for people to think about then right what I like best would be good to see otheres thoughts.

Do you prefer serious or silly streams or maybe a bit of a mix?

Do you join streams mainly for the streamer or other members or a bit of both?

Giveaways are not all streams are about but a part of it, do you prefer a few big prizes or a lot of little prizes, little games/quizes or a simple raffle?

How many tables do you like on screen at once?

Do you prefer all poker or would you like to see some new stuff mixed in with the streams?

I prefer my streams to have some daftness and not be all about playing perfect poker, my favourite stream is when the joke was played on  the event had little to do with poker but still makes me giggle and I rewatch that bit when I need a laugh. Some proper poker mixed in with fun and games is my favourite format.

I joined in the streams orignally just because they are Unibet, Later I joined in more because I found certain streamers fun to watch but the main reason I join is to chat to other members or even just sit on the sidelines and follow the chat.Currently the other memebers is my main reason for joining in.

I prefer the giveaways that give more people a chance of getting a little something than a few getting a bigger prize, the quiz/game giveaways are prefered by me but a good spamming cant be beat in the bigger streams occasionally but dont really like when its spam everytime. One problem with the quizees I would say is that you can miss them if you are chatting/playing poker or otherwise distracted so would like to see a way that they are more noticable been a few streams where I just randomly copied other people typing because I seen the spam and won a prize and not sure why(some comps it can be unclear whats going on)

Watching on a laptop its hard to follow even 2 tables of poker when people are playing 4+ its just a lot of blobs to me moving about the screen, so I prefer when people play less tables even if they play more off screen.

I would like to see some other games mixed in with the poker, Some situations games are really intresting to watch but all night I am finding it harder to maintain interest. So for me at least would like to see the poker broke up a bit with something a bit different.

I am sure I had a lot more questions in my head when I thought of this post but when it comes to typing I go blank, feel free to add your questions and thoughts. When I recall my thoughts I will add them to the post.

I prefer silly streams,i join streams only for the streamer,i prefer little prizes so more people can have the chance to win in giveaways, the numer of tables on screen doesn't matter for me,i would prefer new stuff mixed in with the stream,i actually proposed @DaVitsche to do a clothes optional stream, but he didn't answer my message 🤣 What joke are you reffering to with David?

Do you prefer serious or silly streams or maybe a bit of a mix?

90% Silly, 10% serious. When I watch a stream it's more for the entertainment, and less about the deep analysis.

Do you join streams mainly for the streamer or other members or a bit of both?

If I like the streamer I'm almost always going to go back. So far, the only streamer I can watch on a daily basis is Jason Somerville. He has something unique and exciting about his stream that no one else has yet to top.

Giveaways are not all streams are about but a part of it, do you prefer a few big prizes or a lot of little prizes, little games/quizes or a simple raffle?

A simple raffle is fine. Big or small, I prefer a raffle over games/quizzes.

How many tables do you like on screen at once?

Only 1. Any more then 1 and I immediately 'X' out and probably will never go to that stream again. (Few rare exceptions)

Do you prefer all poker or would you like to see some new stuff mixed in with the streams?

Other online games (Non poker related) can be exciting to watch if the streamer him/her self is entertaining. I'll watch a mix of stuff for sure.

I debate
Should I smile like everything's good and pretend that life is great
Or should I let the world see the real me and not hide this pain
I tried to be like the rest of y'all, sorry I just can't
I'ma probably die this way

As an after thought it would also be nice to hear from any streamers and what they like about streaming and what they would like to do with a stream if anyting was possible.

My thoughts on streaming are, it makes me uncomfortable being center of attention, feel like everyones watching me :annoyed:

I like the talkative, funny streamers with less loud music on. And more talk about specific hands, strategies, thats why i use to watch stream. Giveaways are fine in freerolls, the spamming in the chat makes a disaster for few minutes. I prefer also one, maybe two tables at the time, otherwise its hard to see on laptop, and the streamer has less time for decisions and to talk about the play.

50/50. Nobody wants to watch a lecture but I think the essence of a good poker stream is that you're learning from a better player or watching action/stakes you're not at.

Do you join streams mainly for the streamer or other members or a bit of both?

Streamer for everyone I have followed bar the Unibet one as it's multiple hosts and is the only one I know of with giveaways on the regular.

Giveaways are not all streams are about but a part of it, do you prefer a few big prizes or a lot of little prizes, little games/quizes or a simple raffle?

I do not care for giveaways in chat. They just create vultures that only come in for the freebies and don't contribute to the stream. If you have to do a giveaway just don't have it be a raffle or any spam based action. It ruins the chat and just detracts from being able to interact with the streamer or other watchers.

How many tables do you like on screen at once?

2 max but 1 preferrable with switching scenes so the streamer can multitable.

Do you prefer all poker or would you like to see some new stuff mixed in with the streams?

All poker please. There are plenty of varieties of that on it's own to keep any stream fresh.

Have you read my blog HERE... It's long isn't it :)

Mostly serious, i like to get some kind of educated while watching the stream.

Do you join streams mainly for the streamer or other members or a bit of both?

The streamer.

Giveaways are not all streams are about but a part of it, do you prefer a few big prizes or a lot of little prizes, little games/quizes or a simple raffle?

Lot of little prizes

How many tables do you like on screen at once?

2 is Perfect, not more.

Do you prefer all poker or would you like to see some new stuff mixed in with the streams?

Only poker at the screen at least. But the streamer should maybe talk a bit outside poker if he is out of the game at both tables.

Do you prefer serious or silly streams or maybe a bit of a mix?

A bit of a mix. Sometimes I want to get as much strategy and advice from the streamer as I can whereas other times I just want to be entertained. It all depends on mood I suppose.

Do you join streams mainly for the streamer or other members or a bit of both?

Both. A good streamer is obviously a must but a nice friendly community is also just as important. A toxic group of people in the chat can easily bring the whole stream down. Fortunately, everybody in the community are very nice people who add value to what it is.

Giveaways are not all streams are about but a part of it, do you prefer a few big prizes or a lot of little prizes, little games/quizes or a simple raffle?

A good mix. I'm delighted the stream has returned to the old way of giveaways. I wasn't a fan of the freeroll giveaways. It's a bit of a selfish reason but I have a young family which I need to see to first and foremost and by the time I got on the stream the freerolls were at capacity and all the prizes had been snapped up by the regs. It's really nice now to just be able to log on after my duties are done, answer a random question or enter a raffle and bink a little prize. I think this method is much more fair game for everyone than the previous way. You get a short amount of chat spam with the raffle but it doesn't detract from the flow of conversation in my opinion.

How many tables do you like on screen at once?

2 max. When Charlotte or anyone else for that matter has 6 tables open it seems impossible to follow the action.

Do you prefer all poker or would you like to see some new stuff mixed in with the streams?

All poker baby.

All in!!!

Do you prefer serious or silly streams or maybe a bit of a mix?

A mix. If I really want serious study stuff I go to youtube or read serious articles or forum threads. It's nice to see good players play and pick up some advice, but I'm mainly watching for fun. Also, a too serious stream would only draw serious players, the goal is also to reach people who don't play a lot yet. What I do would like to see is some higher stakes MTT play, like the sunday entitled, or a UO or UK Tour final. It also seems to be medium to high stakes MTT streams that draw the most viewers on twitch.

Do you join streams mainly for the streamer or other members or a bit of both?

Other streams I only join for the streamer, but Unibet I join at least just as much for the members in chat. In this sense the Unibet stream is very unique.

Giveaways are not all streams are about but a part of it, do you prefer a few big prizes or a lot of little prizes, little games/quizes or a simple raffle?

I prefer a lot of little prizes, because that way more people get drawn to the tables. Especially if it's for specific MTT's, because then the field gets filled with community members. For example, I loved the €4 UK Tour ticket giveaways which boosted the €4 qualifier fields.

For example, on mondays 15x 3x€2 butler league tickets could be given away, so people can participate for free the week after. Or on Thursday's the DaVitsche's bounty hunt could be a €2 or €4 tournaments, and 20 people could win a ticket for it.

How many tables do you like on screen at once?

4 or less. Above 4 it's too hard to follow.

Do you prefer all poker or would you like to see some new stuff mixed in with the streams?

Some other stuff is welcome too. Poker all day every day can get boring.

I'm not in the first flush of youth and tend to like instructional streams with one or two tables maximum and preferably without music.

Serious is fine but a bit of humour thrown in is always good...there has been some classic banter, particularly between Sjlot and DaVitsche, that has left me with mental images that just won't go away!

I like the giveaway waffles to be many and small as opposed to few and big and find them preferable to the quiz type, and of course, a freeroll is always nice. 😉

Do you prefer serious or silly streams or maybe a bit of a mix?

A mix of 40% seriousity and 60% sillyness, and the wheel of doom ofc.

Do you join streams mainly for the streamer or other members or a bit of both?

Only for you Jonny😛 I think a bit of both but I prefer the members. As a non native english speaker sometimes makes me difficult to understand what Jamie and Sam say so it would be nice if they try to turn off the music volume a little bit.

Giveaways are not all streams are about but a part of it, do you prefer a few big prizes or a lot of little prizes, little games/quizes or a simple raffle?

Well, it depends on my Bankroll. If I'm in a hot run I prefer the big prizes when not the free stuff for all. I like the raffles and the quiz questions too so no reason for change I think.

How many tables do you like on screen at once?

Maximum of 4. It's very annoying when Charlotte plays on 6-8 tables and her face hides the table on the right bottom corner.

Do you prefer all poker or would you like to see some new stuff mixed in with the streams?

I think this is a friendly stream so for me is no problem if the streamer plays some other game (Heartstone, CS:GO, of Truck simulator) in the end of the stream. I think this should be a little bonus for the viewers and could make the community more familiar.

I do prefer a fairly serious stream but one that have some silliness in it at times. Someone that explains his/hers reasoning for doing different things.

Do you join streams mainly for the streamer or other members or a bit of both?

Primarily for the streamer as I seldom chat while watching a stream. I also tend not to read much of the chat as I usually play myself while watching a stream. I also dont like streamers with loud music.

Giveaways are not all streams are about but a part of it, do you prefer a few big prizes or a lot of little prizes, little games/quizes or a simple raffle?

A raffle for many small prizes.

How many tables do you like on screen at once?

Max two, thou I prefer one.  Any more makes it difficult to see. Switching between tables and showing one at the time works.

Do you prefer all poker or would you like to see some new stuff mixed in with the streams?

Primarily poker but I do watch some casino games at time as well. A sportbetting stream would be nice once in a while.

My advice: If you've watched the two streams I've done, simply do everything the exact opposite way :D

I'm fairly tech savvy (know a bit of html, css and php, know my way around PS, Illustrator, After Effects, assembled my first computer when I was 15 etc. etc.), but man I've had enough technical issues for 20 streams :D

I've tried quite a few things, and I definitely think one or two windows is the way to go. If I'm going to do another stream, I'll focus less on having some action on the screen, and more on the commentary. Last stream I wanted to do a live betting session at the same time as I was watching a game of football, playing poker, doing a giveaway and playing 8 ball against the viewers - I need to know my limits, because that was simply impossible and just stressed me out. If there'll be a next time, I think the way to go is having just one poker table open, and then comment on each and every hand; do the math on the stream and explain the basics of outs, pot odds, implied odds, +ev/-ev etc. This will make for a more relaxed and entertaining stream in my opinion (both for the viewer and the streamer), even though there's actually less action on the screen. In the first two streams, I haven't really been able to pay much/any attention to the poker, because of all the issues and many things I wanted to try. Less is more :)

I think the UniCommunity Twitch channel could be used to broadcast your streams (you'd do everything on your own channel, and I'd basically just add your stream to the UniCommunity stream). Not that interesting at the moment, but when we have more followers, it could be a nice little perk for new streamers, who're members of the community :)

Yes, I agree - it might be difficult to do many things at once (for you and for the computer), so next time try just one thing at a time and then move on to a different thing? Like start with poker, after it's over, some live betting, after that some other games etc. And I have noticed you said several times already "if there will be a next time" - I'm for sure rooting for several next times and hope other members of the mod team want to give streaming a try as well 😆 👍

Have to admit I'm not super excited about another stream right now, but that might change in a couple of days :) If everything was just working, I'm sure I'd enjoy it, but with as many issues as yesterday, it's just tiring :)

@testuser1 Its Unibet tradition for there to be stream problems, The very first poker stream the whole team had to jump in a taxi and go to Andrews house to continue the stream.

Its just a matter of ironing out the little problems and then everything starts falling into place and you feel more comfortble with them as time goes on.

Heres a visulisation of what streaming feels life at first.

Yes, It was a little bit annoying that you didn't try to play some hearthstone, DOTA2, FIFA, truck simulator or CS:GO at the same time. And as I saw you didn't have a cable lover cat too :laugh:Kappa

Btw it was a very nice stream unte* d**(not allowed) Treppen Mr. Potter.🤣
