Thank you Unibet

First off let me take my hat off to you guys on the poker front.

I've played online for ten years and never even heard of Unibet (sorry) until the notion took me to start playing live. My first night in the Alea Casino in Glasgow and they are running a satellite to the Glasgow leg of the Unibet UK Tour.

A quick google study session and when I discovered the guarantee was 40k I decided I had to play in this event.

Unfortunately, I went out in 7th of 18 (with multiple players re-loading) where the top five were guaranteed a seat. I won't bore you with the details but essentially I lost a big hand that left me with 4 big blinds and not much of a hope if everyone else was playing ICM correctly!

Non-perturbed I installed Unibet when I got home the next day (and this is where the thank you comes in) and I am nothing but impressed with the setup.

The lobby is unique, and yet un-cluttered, instead of having to spend 20 minutes filtering out badugi, stud omaha hi/lo etc the games I play are just there. Right there where I can see them!

As a 6 max specialist I was amazed to find that the site didn't run them, but instead ran 5 man SnG's. This was even better news for me, as it's one less player to get through and on top of that, so far I've not felt totally overwhelmed by my opposition.

Which leads me to my next point.

Initially I was frustrated about the inability to take notes, or that my Pokertracker software was redundant. I now appreciate however that this works both ways and I now have 4 aliases so the chances of my opponents getting any significant reads are minimal.

The welcome package was great, it seemed like everytime I played a hand for the first hour I was getting something for free in terms of tickets or achievements (another excellent idea btw).

Overall, I am thoroughly impressed and can foresee me transferring my bankroll to Unibet permanently.

So to all the guys that worked on the design, concept, customer support - thanks for doing a fab job. I am thoroughly enjoying spending time on the site.

And on top of that - I''ve just binked a $25 Uk Tour tourney and now have a $100 ticket nestled away in my account so the dream is very much alive!

PS : Minor request/query. Is there any plans of implementing a hand re-player? It's really the only nuisance I've come across so far. Having multiple tables open it's great to just click a button and with a couple of clicks review what happened. But it seems when I click the last hand I get a screen of writing that I dont have time to review during games.

Went out 5th of 16 in the qualifier tonight, won a 100 mtt ticket which I've asked to exchange to another qualifier for Glasgow next weekend.

Probably not the best idea to play today as my granda was found dead this morning out of the blue.

Maybe it's not meant to be and I should take that as a sign.

So sorry to hear about your loss. :waterfall: I would recommend take a little time off to deal with real life issues and such & to get back in the right mind frame.

I debate
Should I smile like everything's good and pretend that life is great
Or should I let the world see the real me and not hide this pain
I tried to be like the rest of y'all, sorry I just can't
I'ma probably die this way
