@BookTheWin, yeah was pretty disappointed after not winning a package to London. I m trying to get more tickets for live events in the future.
The problem with the events in Nottingham is, there are too many to choose from. Honestly, I have no idea what to play due to their huge offer.
Would you buy in on Day2 of the Big Game? By that you could easily get into the money, couldn´t you?
If you want, you can add me on skype.
The most tempting event for me is the one in Punta Cana in November. That would be such a great experience, but it´s still a long way to go..
I hope I can score a big cash in either Glasgow or Nottingham to increase my bankroll and play more and more satellites.
ya buying into the big game from Day 2 seems like it would be easy to cash but the last one only paid 16 people and said 103 entrants possibly were playing day 2 so not sure how easy it would be they have a different payout structure for every tourney it seems. Keep at it during the sats, I remember a few years ago I had some agonizing losses where I was chip leading with 23 left and 10 got big packages etc and didn't win. I think I had one for a Unibet Open Package where I checked Back AA on AJ3 turn was a 10 in a 4 bet pot pre and had KQ. Still regret that one
For the ones with Nottingham, my logic is play the first one with a solid payout structure and try win another for the one the following week and keep taking shots that way. Keep rolling with the sats and book some more seats.
103 probably include the people left over from the multiple Day1. You get 100 big blinds for 550GBP and you might be one of the chipleaders. Do you think there are many people buying in late (on Day2) for 550?
A few weeks ago I read that you can exchange one ticket into cash. But to do that you have to have 2 tickets for the same event (e.g. two 550gbp tickets) and you have to do it live in the casino in Nottingham. Of course you can exchange not more than 1 ticket. Here s the link:
I cant put the link in here (Unibet probably doesnt allow ). You have to search for: "dtd exchange into cash". The first link should be it.
Do you think thats still possible?
that's definitely interesting, I think how they made the tickets now flexible that the option might not be available anymore. I do remember when they had the option for same event, but now it's not a specific tourney so. If that is Unique entries and not how many arrived for Day 2 could be a great spot this Saturday.
Some Little Side Notes to this Adventure:
Do Not have a Cell Phone
Do have an old Laptop (it's like 10 lbs )
Just a carry on bag/backpack of clothes and my laptop.
Going to try run up small amounts of cash (sub $50) that I have on a couple sites to win more than just the 3 seats if possible.
One of my back up plans is to win 2 Unibet Open UK Manchester seats while over seas. Since you can convert 2nd package to cash and also I really want to play Manchester. If possible I will try win a Unibet Open Bucharest package and if I do, despite me being a busto, doesn't mean I'm a nit and if I win a package I'll give away 10% of my action to people in this community via a Freeroll or something.
It's a high risk crazy adventure, but to me personally the risk is worth the potential reward and I am fired up and ready to go.
Here are some calculations I did:
50kGBP GTD, 75GBP per Day1 participant = approx. 667 people to fullfill guarantee.
If they only pay 16 people that would be only 2,4 % of the field, very strange.
Maybe they see Day1 as some kind of a qualifier and Day2 is the real tourney. I will send them a mail, maybe they can sort it out.
If there are 100 players on day2 and 16 get paid, that would be a very reasonable 16% who get paid.
