Everything started when I won 25€UO ticket in eSports Battle Royale IV - Betting Competition. Then I played satellites until i won UO live package in Sunday Final .My problem is that i never play live.I'm a little bit stressed but sure it's going to be a great time and experience. The opportunity to meet new people especially from this community. I saw a few Unibet Open broadcasts on Twitch and I would like to feel the famous Unibet atmosphere...I would be grateful for any tips and advice from the more experienced players. There will be a lots of recreational players, so try to watch with attention how they are betting. Weak players mostly will be confused about sizing and order. Try to look on hands of your opponents. Not experienced players cant control themself and will show you when they are nervous. Also i like to watch on players reaction when they look first time on cards after dealing. Lots of information. I had the chance to go there twice now, and I really didn't regret.PLaying live is way more fun than behind a pc. The feel of real cards and chips makes it 10 times better :D (The chips are heavier than you'd expect :p)You are lucky that you can experience this first time almost for free (except for the effort you'd have to put in winning the ticket ofcourse), this takes a lot of weight from your shoulders I think :) For the first time you shouldn't go there with huge expectations, that way anything you do earn is a +, because remember what you already got is never lost ;) (the awesome experience)Aside for that you are very lucky aswell to experience this first experience with unibet :) It's a really friendly environment, and all players are really nice towards newer players. Making mistakes is human ;)I didn't play the main event tough, so I don't know how a 1k tourney feels, but I think it's not that different from the smaller games. (Except for blind levels, which makes the play slower for the main event). I see now that the circumstances of ones birth are irrelevant... YpresX Posted March 20, 2017 Share Posted March 20, 2017 Good job @Yaro85, it could be useful if you play a few live tournaments before UO - maybe there are some nice events at your local casino. I remember my first big tourneys when i was supernervous and couldnt really focus on the game and made some silly mistakes. Still do, haha :D .Anyway, from my experience from the last UO if you dont do that well on the tables you can still have a ton of good time with fantastic Unibet community members. Introduce yourself to the community guys.If your not sure of anything just ask.You will have plenty of chips in the poker tournament for you to get used to players and surroundings. That is quite an achievement!If you haven't played live before I'd strongly suggest visiting your local card room and playing a low stake tournament beforehand. Play tight and try to last as long as you can - you are there for the experience and to learn what to do rather than winning it so play accordingly. You will learn the live basics such as string betting not being allowed. Don't be daunted - people are really friendly and dealers do an excellent job in helping you out. If you don't get the chance to play live before the Open then again don't worry - people will help you in the Open. It's just a bit easier if you get your first game out of the way before the 'big one'.With regards to the Open event itself, remember it is 1hr levels ( from memory) so you can and should be very patient. There is no need to force the pace. Just take your time and enjoy the experience. My first Open saw me make day 2 and only lost out due to a KK v QQ cooler so just take your time and see what happens. My second Open I turned up over confident and forced the pace and made an early exit.You will enjoy yourself as it's a great social occasion too. Do go to the welcome drinks and especially the players party. And watch out for the community game which I think will be a few hours before the party. Don't worry - the dealers will help you and some of the players on your table will be surprisingly helpful. In the absence of a live game, I'd suggest googling what to do in a live poker game and what not to do. That should help you. I mentioned string betting earlier. Google that as it's a common mistake. And btw, the easiest way to avoid that problem, whether you are a beginner or experienced, is to simply tell the dealer how much you wish to raise to before you move your chips. Good luck mate. It's not exactly the same environment but it will get you familiar with little things like touching cards, chips, betting, folding etc.Aside from the poker though, make sure you have fun and enjoy every minute!
