Hello again,

interesting how many replies this got. Well just a short update. My documents were received and will be reviewed and once done, they will let me know. @Jeppe-Unibet can yout tell me how long this will take or can you speed this up?

Thanks

Yeah, I'm sorry at least that this thread got a bit carried away. It became related to a very important topic though so hopefully the "highjack" was not for nothing. At least I got too emotional defending the hypothetical cases were people would get wronged by something like this being enforced to everyone. Got carried way too far. Topic is still important so we shall await for clarification.

I hope you get your money soon Mafu. Smile

I see no problem that you question things that you disagree with and not be naive  and "m´kay, if its good for me or makes the world a better place" I´m just glad that these things pop out here so maybe we can all learn something from them. Just don´t really like that the mods are between all this customer vs regulations because they are innocent to those rules but then again they do work for Unibet and their job.

And another thing about his withdrawal, why dont you just ask everything you are going to ask in the first time and don´t come with something new every week. It just makes your cs look like idiots or that they do this just to piss customers off.

I played on many, many sites and i found Unibet is most complicated when u just want to withdraw your winnings probably thats the one of reason why me and many others dont want to deposit any funds here cause i just want to escape this kind of problems when u cant get your own well deserved money...i mean all sites want some kind of documents for account verification which is fine but to take pictures with my ID beside my face (like r-e-t-a-r-d) to ask for source of my funds (which beside poker i dont have) etc etc its ridicolus and humiliating and for sure not my thing.

On my luck i can choose where to play poker and gamble in general with ''normal'' account verification and in today time with so many competition i think this thing can kill Unibet future.

Unibet have right to do whatever they want is their choice i just give my comment about this problem who stay same day after day, month after month and it will stay same if company stay with some ridicoulus rules...

The last verification from the site that i mainly use was that "we need to verify you, in order to do so sign in with your internet bank codes" I did, lasted about 5 seconds and that was that. That is also only kind of verification that i´ve ever had to make to them. I´ve used it over 10 years, got my biggest withdrawals there and never had any of these kind of issues with them. So i wonder what they do so differently and why do they still have their licences. It is almost finnish company so don´t know if that is the reason but i guess they have somekind of regulations too.

So if i sound whiny it is mainly because i would really like to do gambling with Unibet too because of good set of games to bet on, good casino and even like unibet poker more than mpn. But even the thought that i would have to go through all "mandatory bs" when withdrawing big amount or if i am "lucky" even smaller amounts, makes me think again.

What if, you just got lucky there? And unlucky here since it seems that all of you had to send a picture and proof of income and numerous documents on Unibet to get verified (would have assumed that less than 1% of people have to do that). While I only needed to send a couple of basic documents, required by local law within 30 days of making an account ... which if I think about it might be a pretty good procedure (with the exception of the clause that lets the state take your money if you don't do it in time) . The main difference between unibet and the rest of the sites is that it provides a place for people to voice their complaints and receive some help when stuff goes wrong. I'm always surprised when I see people being outraged by having to withdraw to the same method they deposited from or having to send a utility bill, implying that no site ever requested those from them, while I had those restrictions on every single site I played (before we had local laws that required them, they're quite recent) . So there clearly is some variance, with their procedures, with the pattern you trigger, and possibly some geographical targeting as well.

One big fault that Unibet has however is e-mail communication with standard support, responses can take a very long time or never come in some instances, or be vary vague. This is an area where they could improve greatly. The community forum is fantastic, but most people  will only use e-mail/live chat

Didn't want to respond anymore to this but wait for the official response, but just wanted to clarify that what it is about now that things have cooled down a bit and it's easy to scrap the unnecessary speculations written. In case someone did not get it I'll sum things up and it's easier for the staff to answer as well.

#1 I don't really mind about the processes of verification as long as the processes are being done quickly. I wholeheartedly support it as long as there is a good reason to request a re-verification of the account like new IP-addresses or different OS/Browsers being used and change of deposit/withdrawal methods. If it's random and just on some bigger wins then it sounds like just a tease.

#2 If the process last even for a week or more of wait not depending on the customer's documents then it's just really bad CS, in all honesty it should get done within 24h from the documents provided and all documents must be requested at once.

#3 Avoid unnecessary verification processes of money origins, just do it in case you really are suspecting money laundering and that usually only has to involve cash tables on poker and certain kinds of activity there and also if there are changes in behaviour and IP:s. That is where the initiative for Unibet should be allowed to take precautions is on. As an addition perhaps some countries can demand more strict processes on verifying them out and it really is not up to Unibet then and that I can understand. As far as I have understood money laundering is a bigger problem in specific countries at the moment.

#4 The biggest problem for me however is the hypothetical case that If I get a 50€ cash as a gift and make a deposit of that to my bank account and use that to play online and win huge, if that money origins check process would occur to me then would Unibet have the right to hold and confiscate my wins and deposit? There is no way to prove where the money originally came from. And where is the line, what if it is 500€ deposit from a gift and you win 4000€? THIS is what caught my attention. It is about principles if there is the chance that this kind of process can get innocent people to trouble. This is what I want Unibet to clarify and I want to know it in advance. Is there a chance that could happen? Smile

ps. If the answer for #4 in that scenario is yes then I would just know to not ever deposit that kind of money to Unibet, but only use official incomes when it comes to Unibet. That's why I want to know it in advance.

@NMPfan

I´ve thought about that too if i´m just lucky with them but got many friends that gamble there too and none of them had any problems. And internet is good place to check too as if players get lots of problem from some site they are very eager to put it online, and i have found nothing worth of believing.

And haven´t been "unlucky" here, Unibet hasn´t ask me to verify myself, yet, in anyways as i can recall. But when i read these stories here, it gives me the creeps. I am totally fine with basic adress, id and bank verifications when they are done asap but seems to me that many of these takes weeks and never know what they going ask next.

Hello to all!

I have same kind of experience now: I've been playing in Unibet for couple of years now and not winning much before this month. I won good amount 4.10.2017, I have sent all necessary documents, I got confirmation 5.10.2017 that all documents are ok -> then my account status went to hold mode and still is. I have been in chat asking if there is some problems with documents, answer has been some like: just be patient, it takes time to check documents in security. Well, I can say I have been patient and waiting for email or verification, nothing happens. Besides now in the spring (April or May) I took withdrawal for a smaller amount, there wasn't problems at all. And all the documentations hasn't changed at all, I live in the same house, use same bank account, credit card is same so this is not the way it should go in my opinion. Instead of 3-5 bank days it's been at least 9 days now. And still I haven't got any proper answer to my issue.
