Tennis... Paris... Late september... What do these things have in common? Usually not much, but this year all three of them combine to bring us the last Grand Slam of 2020. Passion will unfold in the France capital in just a few days, and tennis fan will be able to enjoy the only clay major tournament.

The 2020 French Open tennis tournament  will be played on outdoor clay courts and it will be held at the Stade Roland Garros in Paris, France. Originally scheduled from 24 May to 7 June, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was then first moved to 20 September to 4 October, was later moved back a week further to 27 September to 11 October and then finally expanded by six additional days to 21 September to 11 October, comprising singles, doubles and mixed doubles play.  Rafael Nadal is the twelve-time champion in men's singles; Asleigh Barty was the defending champion in women's singles, but chose not to defend her title following concerns over the ongoing pandemic.

It will be the 124th edition of the French Open and the last Grand Slam event of 2020. The main singles draws will include 16 qualifiers for men and 12 for women out of 128 players in each draw.

It is also the only Grand Slam to retain the advantage set in the final sets, whereas Australian Open and Wimbledon have already switched to tiebreaks. This is important to keep in mind when we will have the daily questions.

Speaking of... of course we could not help hosting a competition, here in the community, for our beloved members and we hope you will enjoy it, at least as much as you did in the past 5 years.

Keeping the tradition, ours truly community tennis fan, @AndreiBN, will host once again his trademark competition, split into two parts:

  • The Daily Giveaway
  • Tournament Predictions

Daily giveaway:

Every day during the tournament @AndreiBN will set up a question where you'll need to pick one of the 4 available options,  in order to qualify for the chance to win the daily prize of €30 in Free Bets.
We'll try to have questions with pretty close outcome when it comes to picking options, so even if you're not very familiar with tennis, you should still be able to pick the right outcome once in a while.

If you guess the correct answer, you'll be included in the daily raffle, together with the other members who got it right as well. The daily giveaway prize will be added to your accounts in 3-4 days after the raffle will be done!

The members with the most correct picks throughout the tournament will compete also for a spot on the podium, as follows :

  • 1st place: €100 in Free Bets
  • 2nd place: €60 in Free Bets
  • 3rd place: €40 in Free Bets

A very important thing to keep in mind: Only members posting their prediction in the daily competition 14 out of the 15 days will be eligible for the extra prizes.

Tournament predictions:

We've set up 10 questions about the tournament. Members who will have the highest number of correct pre-tournament predictions will also compete for a place on the podium, as follows :

  • 1st place: €100 in Free Bets
  • 2nd place: €60 in Free Bets
  • 3rd place: €40 in Free Bets

A very important thing to keep in mind: Only members posting their prediction in the daily competition 14 out of the 15 days will be eligible for the extra prizes.

Jackpot added:

As we had for the US Open, we keep the opportunity open for the €500 Jackpot to be won. For sure, it's not a walk in the park, but it is something special, so it kinda needs to have a high level of dificulty in order to get it but as we did some changes to the pre tournament questions, it is not impossible.

In order to get your hands on extra €500, you must get ALL the pre tournament prediction right! This means if you are lucky and inspired enough, you can top up your balance with some great extra prize!

Here are the 10 questions for 2020 French Open:

Simply post your predictions in this thread, and you're in it to win it. Only members participating in the daily competition 14 out of 15 days will be eligible for the special tournament prizes - e.g. if you get 9 of the questions right but only posted the daily giveaways 10 times, you won't be able to win the special prize.

Pre Tournament prediction rules

1. Every elimination will be counted in regards to when it happens - e.g. if 2 or more players have a match on the same day, the first to be eliminated is the one that first finishes the match and is out of the tournament. Not by rounds lost, etc.

2. In case of a retirement, Unibet's terms and conditions will apply. If a top 10 seeded player retires before or during a match, regardless if he is leading or not, it will be counted as elimination. If the top 10 seed player is in big trouble and almost loses the match, but his/her opponent retires before the game is finished, he/she will still be in the competition.

3. All members can change up to 1 prediction as a one-time thing. Any change must be posted before the deadline of the tournament predictions, and they must do it by tagging the host ( @AndreiBN ) and let him know about the change, otherwise, their pick will not be taken into consideration.

General competition's terms & conditions:

1. Please try and make an effort and just not copy/paste other member(s) predictions. Although we can't prevent anyone picking their favourites, we reserve the right to disqualify obvious copy/paste pre tournament predictions.

2. Only members participating in the daily competition at least 14 out of 15 days will be eligible for the special tournament prizes

3. Members can change they daily prediction only 1 time in a day. And they must do it by tagging the host ( @AndreiBN  ) and let him know about the change, otherwise their pick will be voided.

4. Members who change their daily prediction without notifying the host more then once , or members who spam their daily pick will be excluded from the daily raffle, even if their pick was correct. It this will continue, members will be excluded for good from the competition and forfeit any potential prize.

5. Prizes will be paid out in Free Bets

8. Wagering requirements are explained in some tutorial videos you can find in the community.

9. Your pre tournament predictions must be submitted in this thread beforeSaturday 26th of September @ 22:00 CET.

10. General Unibet terms and Conditions apply

11. We reserve the right to amend or withdraw this promotion at any time.

To Swedish and Belgian players, please be mindful when joining this promotion, due to new regulation we won't be able to add you the prizes.

Last Grand Slam of the year is here, and , like any other time , it is Roland Garros.Hope you are all ready for a couple of weeks of exciting tennis.

Finally , we will have some spectators as well, to a max of 5.000 people every day , but it is much better compared to the empty stadiums from US Open so , i'm confident the quality of the game will measure a Grand Slam level.

The daily prize it's a very juicy one , as it will be €30 and that's not all.I will try my best and make the raffle right after we have the outcome of the daily question, but bare in mind that there will be days when this will not be possible asap, due to IRL stuff, so please be patience and understanding also in regards to when the prizes will be credited to your Unibet accounts.

As there might be delays in the original schedule,i will follow the official posted schedule and the deadline for every question will be around 30 minutes before a match starts(or it's suppose to start).

Kindly note into following the rules,as there will not be any exception made. And it's not necessarily to get the daily answers right, but it's really important to participate every day(or at least 14 out of 15).

The first round of the French Open will kick off Sunday 27th of September 2020,and i will make sure to post the first question right after the registration for the pre tournament predictions will be closed ( Saturday 26th of September @ 22:00 CET).Wish you guys all the best of luck and if you have any questions reguarding this competition, feel free to ask or send me a PM.
