Tennis enthusiasts, here we go again! A new year, a new decade and, of course, the first major tournament of 2020 it's getting ready to shine once again in Melbourne.

Always thrilling to find out what changes are in store for top players, who will be this year's sensation, who will fail right from the start and there is no better opportunity than to join us in this Aussie adventure. Australian Open will open Grand Slams frenzy in just a few days!

For the 4th consecutive year, Unibet Community proudly presents a new tennis competition, hosted by a true tennis fan, @AndreiBN. The competition is split up into two parts:

  • The Daily Giveaway
  • Tournament Predictions

Daily giveaway:

Every day during the tournament @AndreiBN will set up a question where you'll need to pick one of the 4 available options,  in order to qualify for the chance to win the daily prize of €50 in Bonus Money, Free Bets or Poker Bonus points.
We'll try to have questions with pretty close outcome when it comes to picking options, so even if you're not very familiar with tennis, you should still be able to pick the right outcome once in a while Smile If you guess the correct answer, you'll be included in the daily raffle, together with the other members who got it right as well. The daily giveaway prize will be added in a couple of days after winning it.

The members with the most correct picks throughout the tournament will compete also for a spot on the podium, as follows :

  1. 1st place: €100 in Bonus Money, Free Bets or Poker Bonus points.
  2. 2nd place: €60 in Bonus Money, Free Bets or Poker Bonus points.
  3. 3rd place: €40 in Bonus Money, Free Bets or Poker Bonus points.

A very important thing to keep in mind: Only members posting their prediction in the daily competition 13 out of the 14 days will be eligible for the extra prizes.

Tournament predictions:

We've set up 10 questions about the tournament. Members who will have the highest number of correct pre-tournament predictions will also compete for a place on the podium, as follows :

  1. 1st place: €100 in Bonus Money, Free Bets or Poker Bonus points.
  2. 2nd place: €60 in Bonus Money, Free Bets or Poker Bonus points.
  3. 3rd place: €40 in Bonus Money, Free Bets or Poker Bonus points.

A very important thing to keep in mind: Only members posting their prediction in the daily competition 13 out of the 14 days will be eligible for the extra prizes.

Here are the questions:

Tournament prediction rules

1. Every elimination will be counted in regards to when it happens - e.g. if 2 or more players have a match on the same day, the first to be eliminated is the one that first finishes the match and is out of the tournament. Not by rounds lost, etc.

2. In case of a retirement, Unibet's terms and conditions will apply. If a top 10 seeded player retires before or during a match, regardless if he is leading or not, it will be counted as elimination. If the top 10 seed player is in big trouble and almost loses the match, but his/her opponent retires before the game is finished, he/she will still be in the competition.

3. All members can change up to 2 predictions as a one-time thing. Any change must be posted before the deadline of the tournament predictions, hey must do it by tagging the host ( @AndreiBN ) and let him know about the change, otherwise, their pick will not be taken into consideration.

Terms and conditions :

Spoiler
1. Members can change their daily prediction only 1 time in a day. And they must do it by tagging the host ( @AndreiBN ) and let him know about the change, otherwise, their pick will be voided.
2. Members who change their daily prediction without notifying the host more then once, or members who spam their daily pick will be excluded from the daily raffle, even if their pick was correct. It this will continue, members will be excluded for good from the competition and forfeit any potential prize.
3. Only members posting their prediction in the daily competition 13 out of the 14 days will be eligible for the extra prizes
4. In the case of a tie, we will divide the 200 euro between the winners.

The 2020 Australian Open is a Grand Slam tennis tournament that will take place at Melbourne Park from 20 January to 2 February 2020. It will be the 108th edition, the 52nd in the Open era, and the first Grand Slam of the year.

Novak Djokovic and Naomi Osaka are the defending champions in Men's Singles and Women's Singles, respectively.

This will be the first edition of the Australian Open with GreenSet, a hard surface .GreenSet is the third type of hard surface used for the Australian Open.

We will , like always , have a tennis competition in the community! Of course we want to keep this competition open to all the members in the community, regardless of their tennis skills and the main purpose is to have fun and attract a larger interest in this sports, especially when it's a big tournament, like this one.Anyone can join even if they are not huge tennis fans, they will still have a chance to get into the daily raffle.

The daily prize it's a very juicy one , as it will be €50 and some extra prizes at the end of the competition.I will try my best and make the raffle right after we have the outcome of the daily question, but bare in mind that there will be days when this will not be possible asap, due to IRL stuff, so please be patience and understanding also in regards to when the prizes will be credited to your Unibet accounts. Please keep in mind that Jeppe and Ray are already hands full with other stuff, but i'm sure they will do their best to everything sorted for you as soon as possible. For now, i will be using the wheel spin raffle, but when and if there will be more then 50 players in the daily raffle, we will have to use the old one...
As there might be delays in the original schedule,i will follow the official posted schedule and the deadline for every question will be around 30 minutes before a match starts(or it's suppose to start).

Like always, wanna give a big thank you to @Jeppe-Unibet  and @Ray-Unibet for making this possible and for the assistance in crediting the prizes every day for the community and a really nice increase of the prizepool for this one.

Kindly note into following the rules,as there will not be any exception made. And it's not necessarily to get the daily answers right, but it's really important to participate every day(or at least 13 out of 14).

The first round of Australian Open will kick off Monday 20th of January 2020 at 01:00 CET,and i will make sure to post the first question right after the registration for the pre tournament predictions will be closed ( Sunday 19th of January @ 20:00 CET).Wish you guys all the best of luck and if you have any questions reguarding this competition, feel free to ask or send me a PM.

Just a quick thought guys, the first daily prize of this competition is due next Monday and as some of you guys know our Community Bonuses expired 1st of January. I've already created the internal request to receive a fresh batch of Bonuses which will be live for the next 2 years however it's not in our hands when they will be ready to use. Long story short, I am hopeful that they will be ready in time, but if not the Free Bonus Money option is off the table I'm afraid so it will be down to either Free Bets of Poker Points but I'll let you guys know next Monday for sure.
