New exclusive game - Orient Express

I am really excited to announce our new exclusive slot in collaboration with Yggdrasil - Orient Express. The game has been live for a couple of weeks as a soft launch but the official launch including a nice campaign is today.

The Unibet casino team has been working extensively with the skilled people at Yggdrasil to realize a game that packs a good production, interesting features, several bonus rounds and solid math. We started drafting ideas early Spring this year and quickly realized we wanted a slot which takes the players on a journey through four different locations. Each locations has different features and bonus rounds and once all locations have been played the player can select most preferred location.

I know there's a lot of slot interested Community members so let me share some insights in the process. Internally at Unibet, we sat down and discussed themes, features and the feeling we wanted to achieve. We landed in the travel theme with different locations and different features. The reason for that was that we wanted to add as many popular wild elements as possible and create a very rich experience. The theme was decided to be the Orient Express, travelling between Paris, Venice, Belgrade and Istanbul. We have included walking wilds, a random multiplier, wild reels and random wilds. In free spins, these features are frequent and hit well. The overall RTP of the game is 96,6% ensuring a high payback. Once all parameters had been nailed down, we sat down with team Yggdrasil and got to work. After many rounds of reviews, discussions and test we had an alpha version that turned into a beta that eventuelly became the final product.

So, it would be interesting to get a lot of feedback on the game. What is good, what can be better, what did we miss?

It seems like a really nice and well made game that you put a lot of effort into - so both Unibet and Yggdrasil deserve kudos for that. I just wish I could enjoy the experience, but as with most new slots these days, this is all I see:

 

The backdrop is black, and anything moving on the wheels is blacked out - I assume the black blobs in the screen shot above are supposed to be walking wilds because they were moving across the screen... And, this wasn't the case here, but in some Yggdrasil games the settings are blacked out too, so it's impossible to even attempt to make a bet. At least it was possible to play this one, but not much fun since I had no idea what was going on. :speechless: So unfortunately I'll have to skip the very nice tournament as well, since I can't see what I'm doing while playing. :teardrop:

The black blobs appear in the new Net Ent games as well, so I'm guessing it's the HTML5 that's causing it. Yeah, yeah, I know,  it's supposed to be all better, faster and smoother, but it's SO not compatible with older computers. :sad:

Thank you for the kind words but wow - sad to see those issues (not seen before). Can you please send a private message to me with some information about your system (browser version, operating system version, computer used)? The game should obviosuly not look like that.

All of our games use HTML5 platform, as it allows to offer a better gaming experience on up to date platforms. Sadly, this sometimes means that older software setups, which had no problem running Flash games, need to be upgraded with the latest software updates to offer a similar experience.

 

Here are some helpful tips that should help you if you have problems with playing our (and any other operator's) HTML5 games online:

1)         Use Chrome as your preferred browser when playing

2)         When using Firefox, install a new video card driver and the latest version of Firefox

3)         If problems persist with any of the better known browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari), then please disable WebGL in browser settings and restart the browser window before trying again (instructions for that can be found online when googling "disable WebGL /browser name/" )

 

Hope these tips help and you can start enjoying our games the way they're intended to look and sound! :)

Sad to say to Denmark :( The reason is that the supplier (Yggdrasil) is not present in Denmark so we cannot offer their content to the Danish market. As you probably know Denmark is a regulated market meaning specific requirements on both the operator (Unibet) and the supplier. Even though Unibet is licensed to offer its serices in Denmark we still need our suppliers to go through the full certification and licensing process as well.

I just tried the game for the very first time. I dont have the screenshot of my total winnings, but I got about 140 EUR with 0.20 cents bet. I think it is a very good result.👍 Belgrade and Istanbul game modes can give you awesome rewards.

I agree . :) When I finally got it too work I thought it was a great game with lots of fun little details and nice wild features with potential for big wins - also got some nice ones along the way. :cash: I made it to all the cities and even though the walking wilds in Paris were my favourites, I liked them all and thought it was great that you got the option to choose which type of wilds you wanted to play with after each free spin round. 😃

Like I mentioned in the original post we paid a lot of attention to what features members have said they liked and built the game with that knowledge and our own preferences. Don`t worry for the Orient Express-game. It is a very funny game, and it is the first game I have "falling in love with" from Yggrasil :) And the best part except the Wilds, free spins etc is that you don`t have to play with high bets to get a big win :)

Yeah, it is good solid game, espesially if someone wants to play a long time with small amount of money. I just played it about 3-4 hours in a row while watching a bad movie at the same time :geek::laugh:

It really is a marathon game. After 1 hour with minimun bets I was up 0.61€., after 130mins down 6.5€, so the swings are not terrible. 
Have to say that i almost fell asleep before i tried that "Disable WebGL" -trick. Thanks for that, worked a lot faster afterwards!

Btw, whats the point with the lightened frame when two freespins appear? To get the third one into it?? Thats why I played so long because I just wanted to see what happens. Was disappointed. Nothing.

I have tried this game before but only a couple of spins. Today I set my mind on getting the free spins of the first city. I had a limit at €7 so I wouldn't go crazy.

I played and played mostly won less than the bet with some ocasional slightly bigger wins. Was close to the free spins several times, got two on the first two wheels but didn't get the third. Was down to my last spin of my limit and finally I got it, won most of it back so it was ok.
So now I'm in Venedig. Will try another day, did some live betting and covered some of the loss.

It's fun, but I hope reaching the free spins isn't getting harder for each town.

First hour was a nightmare for me too. With slow pc and browser, the music in the first map, Paris, was more than sleepy and way too self-repeating. It was somekind of form of psychological torture. After map change it became better. Still don't understand what's the point to highlight the one reel when two freespins are waiting company.
Will try again tonight to see if I've missed something. Last time was recovering from superbowl-hangover, so can't trust myself too much.

@PokerAndBetting  no, it doesn't get any harder to get freespins in the other cities. Not that I've noticed anyway. And once you've reached all of them you get to choose which city you want to continue playing in, which I think is quite nice. And then you can change cities after every free spin round if you want.

I know it's supposed to be random, but I've noticed that it can take a reeeeally long while to get any freespins at all in some sessions - but once they do hit, they can come three or four times in a row with just a few spins in between. So I normally don't quit immediately after I've gotten a freespin round, because chances are another one will come soon thereafter. Then again, it might not... 😛 But I usually go with another 10 spins or so, just to make sure. :happy:

@Rushbie  the highlighted wheel is just to draw it out and make it more exciting to see if you maaayyyybbeeee get the third symbol that activates the freespins, no other purpose really. It's fun if you do, but I agree that it feels a bit anticlimactic when you don't get the third one and it just "stops". But you can always click the spin button again to stop the wheels sooner if you don't want to wait. I always do. Stopping the wheel yourself won't change the outcome, so you don't need to worry about that. 😃

Mm-hm, but it's actually quite frustrating, because the third freespin doesn't have to hit to the highlighted reel. It makes it kinda unnecessary feature.
