New community

@ReCorpH asked feedback somewhere, don't remember where, so i'll suggest this here:

How about if we could watch unibet twitch streams in new community? I think it would be cool feature for example future community league (if someone streams) and ofc for other unibet steamers as well.

I know it is possible cause they do it in other sites (comeon wespin for example), don't have any idea if it costs something or what are terms to be able to do it or even technically possible but anyways it would be easier to watch here and it would bring streams and option to chat to those who don't want use twitch.

Embedding a Twitch stream is not an issue at all; we can do that here as well. The challenge is how to deal with the chat: do we host a chat on the community with the Twitch video feed? Or do we embed the Twitch chat and require users to sign in to Twitch? I'm not sure either of these are an option.

The new platform offers a few different options for Twitch integrations. Here is one I really like: https://invisioncommunity.com/files/file/9316-chat-application/ (there are a couple of screenshots showing how it looks and you can drag and resize the stream window).

You could do something like HLTV.org has for CSGO.

STREAMS:

- List of Streamers

^ Having a Green/Red dot when they are On/Off.

^ When you click the name it takes you to twitch.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean but for example at comeon you can chat in that stream. I'm not sure if you got to be logged in to twitch or not. I am logged in and can chat but it also says in guide of wespin that you can chat with streamer without any mention that you must have twitch account so that tells me anyone can chat in there.

Never seen the comeon thing and have to admit I'm not exactly a Twitch wizard. However, I'm very certain there's no way to chat anonymously on Twitch, so curious how that's done.

Don't have clue either. But i can test it if someone answers this simple question from another thread. Are you suppose to be able to play split view tables in vertical position or not?

The implementation of this is fairly simple. It's just a question on how we want to do it (if we want to do it for everyone, for a few specific streams etc). As a suggestion I really like this and I think we should get both the stream and chat (either our own chat or shared with twitch if possible). I'll revisit this a bit closer to the launch date.

Spoiler
We're hopefully launching in less than 2 weeks.

Tbh I don't want to use my unibet credentials to twitch chat and hopefully you wouldn't force users accepting twitch's tc's when offering a chat option.

1. Sincerely I don't care about twitch and watching others playing poker. And probably most of the community members are like me.

2. I hope the new platform will bring us some new sports/casino/poker competitions.

3. I think that a community is a place where people are helping each other with different problems that are coming from Unibet website. Of course people who are very active should receive also some rewards.

4. We should have a dedicated section where to put mistakes from promos, like wrong t&c or bad translation from betting offers. These bad things should be fixed very fast by Unibet if somebody reports something.  In this moment, if you go to live chat and loose a lot of your time, you don't receive at least a 'thanks' from Unibet and the mistakes are not always fixed. Of course, you help Unibet, you get rewarded.

That won't happen either - no one suggested that from what I can tell Smile the new community platform got a chat option (or several), so it wouldn't be a Twitch chat but a community one. Either that or you'd use your regular Twitch account to chat through Twitch chat.

Majority like you, yes, but quite a big percentage tune in when there's community league (at least 20%), and that's without every really promoting any streams much here.

In case it wasn't clear, the Twitch element would never be mandatory; if you don't click the play button, the stream doesn't start Smile

i don't see why it would have to be limited to poker. Could be casino or even something livebet stream too if staff is willing to members stream to be played here.

Or santa could host x-mas quiz with mods singing x-mas songs in the background Laugh

Hopefully staff will have enough time moderating the chat. Or just hire @Livertool Cool

@Livertool that's what I'm thinking about as well. We could have interactive promotions and stream them. We actually planned something similar before but that project got pushed back due to launching the new site and there was multiple ongoing promotions then. Smile
