Direct X10

The launch of the new client has brought troubles for quite a few you, the main problem seems to be  a needed update of DirectX in regards to the video card. We've been in touch with the poker team and they confirm, that the following step by step guide is viable fix.

DirectX 12 is installed to Windows 10 by default. However, it doesn not mean that the video card you have support directX 11 or higher levels.
Could you please try to:
1) download this http://mcdnf.relaxg.com/chew/clients/dx10patch.zip
2) Run dx10patch.exe
3) In popup navigate to folder where poker 2.0 is installed and select Unibet Poker.exe
4) Launch Unibet poker
Please also make sure to to update your graphic card drivers.

We've seen quite a large number of topics posted about these issues, and we've decided to add them all together in this topic in order to better keep track of it. If you've followed the instructions above and you're still experiencing issues, please let us know and we'll report them individually for the poker team to look at.

The new client unfortunately can't technically run on Windows XP or Windows Vista, so if you're using one of these two operating systems, for the time being you'll have to run Unibet Poker via the web browser.

@MathrimC So now do you have the same problem? or you can play with that second graphic card?

I can't play with my second graphics card, but I can play with my intel chip, so it's the reverse for me. I can't test any further right now because I don't have my laptop with me at home. On my desktop it works fine.

The support told me that there is problems at the new client today. One of them advised me to come back and play tomorrow.

I cannot log in in the new client but am able to play in the browser (firefox).

Youre not the only one bro. I guess we just have to wait until they come out with a new update which fixes this issue.

Credited the poker team instead, we hadn't seen the original post, but instead the one you made and sent it for confirmation of another member of the poker team Smile

I think it's very bad on Unibet's part that a driver update is required. The reason is people have to go into 'device manager' & some that are not computer savy could end up doing some damage. Then there's those that won't read this thread & see that the client isn't working for them an decide to go elsewhere.

Graphic Driver updates are usually for high resolution MMORPG games, not Poker clients.

I've done all the above. Before the patch I get as described here:

https://www.unibetcommunity.com/t5/Bug-Reports/This-is-what-I-get-if-I-try-to-open-a-table/td-p/5207...

And after the patch I just end up with the black screen of death as talked about. As stated I'm running windows 7. Everything is uptodate. Only I can only go as far as Directx11.1 with it being Windows7.

As stated before, it would be great if you could run the previous client alongside the new one, at least until you fix all the hiccups.

I tryd the patch, buth it doesn't work. I found that my videocart and driver effectivly didn't support Direct X11 although when running diagnostic programs it says it does, just found it at the Intel site.  For everyone with an Intel HD graphics card and the same problem you can cheque it easy. Run dxdiag and on the tab monitor look at the right side for version It must look something like 8.15.10.2900   the second two digits are important, it schould be 17 or higher. In my case it's only 15 so not compatibel with dx11  It's a shame the patch doesn't work for everybody

Hi, I am also getting the direct x 11 it s not compatible problem when I try to start the poker client.

I think you lose a lot of customers if you not roll the version back and test it before you deliver it again.

I have Win10 and here is some information that might help you when trying to solve the problem,

It´s a big big shame if Unibet exclude players with old computers.
Unibet was number one for me until this mess with the new pokerclient issue.
Now? Low down under all other pokersights in my opinion. No respect at all.

Hi,

I think this might have been a temporary issue, had a similar one yesterday when we had site wide problems. It looks like you have been able to login after, let me know if you are still experiencing login issues.

Hi @Camilio,

Could you please remind me what happens for you when you're launching the client? We're currently working on:
Danish Logins (doesnt work on desktop)
Black-screen problems (black screen when opening a table). For some people, updating graphical card drivers helps but not for everyone.
Internet connection not available error when starting the client

Does the web client works for you? https://www.unibet.com/poker/poker-browser-new

Thanks,
