Direct X10

The launch of the new client has brought troubles for quite a few you, the main problem seems to be  a needed update of DirectX in regards to the video card. We've been in touch with the poker team and they confirm, that the following step by step guide is viable fix.

DirectX 12 is installed to Windows 10 by default. However, it doesn not mean that the video card you have support directX 11 or higher levels.
Could you please try to:
1) download this http://mcdnf.relaxg.com/chew/clients/dx10patch.zip
2) Run dx10patch.exe
3) In popup navigate to folder where poker 2.0 is installed and select Unibet Poker.exe
4) Launch Unibet poker
Please also make sure to to update your graphic card drivers.

We've seen quite a large number of topics posted about these issues, and we've decided to add them all together in this topic in order to better keep track of it. If you've followed the instructions above and you're still experiencing issues, please let us know and we'll report them individually for the poker team to look at.

The new client unfortunately can't technically run on Windows XP or Windows Vista, so if you're using one of these two operating systems, for the time being you'll have to run Unibet Poker via the web browser.

What windows you using?

I was working with multiple OS and unless you have Windows 10, it's nearly impossible to play.

I spent roughly 10 hours and I did manage to get the client to login on Windows 7 but it's extremely laggy and causes entire computer to freeze many times. With windows 8 it's similar.

On XP/Vista it's not possible to play.

You need Direct X 12 which Windows 10 will ask you to download  by default. It's not supported in older machines so you'll have lots of difficulties.

I can post entire guide in Poker section with pictures but It's not really worth going through all the steps and not even being able to open a table.

My graphicscard does not support activex11 for the desktop version and the browserversion is to unreliable or/and slow. Lost a few euros when it crashed while I  tried it and will not try again.

The best solution I think is to have the 1.0 version available for us again as an alternative.

Hey, im just wondering if its possible to change table backgrounds or if that option has been removed now, sorry if im just being dumb and cant see where to do it lol Very Happy

 @Jeppe-Unibet,please answer I will do something with software for Android, because it's a disaster, if you do not understand so many aftershocks that does not work you have changed the old software.

Told you, it's a restriction for Romania. Try the browser one or Android. They work, somehow.

is not beacuse today at work i instaled on windows 8 and works fine...but i dont want to stay at work in order to play

I had everything working yesterday on an old desktop PC (Win 7 Pro), but the animations were slow, so I thought I needed to update my drivers as per this thread. I thought the DirectX patch would solve the problem, so I ran the patch. Now the client won't open at all and I just get the black box of death. (It doesn't even respond to the close button. I had to use Task Manager). Uninstalling the client and re-installing didn't work. Is there some way to "un-patch" my DirectX or roll it back to whatever I had previously?

Hey @Jeppe-Unibet, I have the same problem as a lot of other users... But I have Win10 and DirectX 12. Tried the patch, not working. 

The problem must be in my graphics card? What are minimal requirements for this client?

Hey guys,

3 times tonight I have been playing 6 tables and the client just crashes.  Doesn't freeze, just ends and closes down immediately.  Using a Mac

I was afraid a little bit of the new client, because i use a mac. But my laptop likes the new version better, so i do. (well, i didnt have much luck on the new one yet...)

But i can agree with others, at least for now if its possible to make 1.0 available as well. Those who likes 2.0, they will continue on that one, those who struggles with it, and technically cant run it, the older version should be the solution, until everything is fixed (dont wait until they run away). So bad when i see the latest posts, i see only poker problems and maybe one of the UO thread, and thats it. 

On one side i think Unibet team is great as always, simple the best, no doubt. But they put too much on their shoulders, thats why it got messy (as Messi in McDo). Same time: new client, UO Bucharest, calendar and december promotions, community calendar, UO betting. I dont wonder that Stubbe, as community manager get drunk after all this heavy duty :P On the other side its all for the customers, so we have to be patient if something is not perfect. From monday they can focus 100% on the poker client and they will surely solve all the trouble.

Why don't you just use the browser instead of the client if you have an incompatible machine ?  It looks and feels almost the same.

Because the browser version crashes frequently and my stakes go down the drain  Sad
It really sucks. Bring us version 1.0 back!!!

The pokerclient doesn`t work for me, so I just play in the browser. No problem at all Smile

Btw, I`m pretty sure that Unibet will fix everything for the best for us Smile

My client was fine until this AM when it went into a reload loop. (rotating circle mid-screen with a blank client. I was in tounament list. I tried to go to cash then sit and go but neither worked. Closed and reopened and all seems fine again. I am using Windows 7, 3.0 mhz cpu and Radeon 5450 video card.

I am replying to my own post because I cannot find an update button. So, my client went into the reload loop again. This time I was in a tournament lobby for about 20-25 mins. and when I came tried to exit the lobby the client could not reload the tourney list.

Hey everyone what i found personally worked for me was deleting everything absolutely !!! everything!! related to unibet then reloading, that's even though it previously worked, use a pro software if you can makes it easier, on a + for people with older equipment i must say it uses no resources whatsoever in new client not that i noticed a problem with version 1 here's a screen shot 8 tables running.

Hi guys.. i am waiting from unibet stuff some gift becuse i fix there problem with intrnet error,wifi ,etc.I unpluged my internet cable from my pc and put him in wireles router,then i take 1/2 m of cable and put one part in pc and another in router (my english sucks sorry), IT WORKS PERFECTLY .

dear Jeppe I have been playing Poker  online for a long time  (since 1996) till today and never got a similar issues like the one I have now with Unibet Poker and I tried your tips and other Experts tips and online even I contacted Microsoft for that but it did not work and many of them told me the only soulation  is to buy another PC or Laptop compaitable  with Unibet new poker client so I am now using my tablet to play unibet poker

What is going on, when can you bring back the old software, or when can you fix up this mess?

I have asked about the old software for a few days now but unfortunately they refuse to answer....   BAD!    Sad
