Good luck for tommorow

Nice to see you at the table kinda deep yesterday

I remember u lost KK to 99 to this guy for the massive chiplead, glad u managed to get backs, u only needed more luck on that heads up.

At this UOS event, lost heads- up is always bittersweet, because of 5000 freerol and more points.

4 days ago, 2k garant UOS event i went to heads up agains s1nner, and went to like 8:1 chiplead, still managed to finished second, lost too many 3 outers, so frustrating, finished 2nd was a really bad experience.

Good luck today and for the future

Yeah that KK to 99 was a hard one to take seeing as I went on to lose heads up to the same person. I did get back in the game cracking their AK with AQ though so can’t be too down about it. I think I played really well overall. Was really happy with my game which is good because I have really lost some motivation and love for poker recently .

Luckily the points didn’t really matter for me because I hardly played any events but the freeroll would of been nice.

Sounds like you were really unlucky in your event. I’m sure it won’t be long until you’re in that situation again and luck Will be on your side for a big win! Best Of luck to you too and thanks for the kind words 😃

Imagine being away from this blog since the 24th November. Quiet, except for the odd tournament here and there.

And then suddenly coming back to win a UOS leaderboard... hmmm

Why not! 😃

Maybe chances are like Wolverhampton winning Europa League, but there is a chance. 😉

Not seeing you here posting, doesn't mean you are forgotten.Hope outside the table things going well!

Any plans to be at some Unibet stop outside UK this year?

I suspect a major campaign is being plotted.

Haha cheers mate! Yep things are good just been really busy with the baby and not a lot of time for poker. Haven't played this year yet!

Yep I am planning on it. Hopefully with a UO. I'm in a position where I am starting to look more at poker again and seeing what I want to do with it, I will play some qualifiers during UOS for sure but I don't fancy Dublin.

Decent first night back. Few sat wins including a supernova ticket which I'll keep for UOS main. Really eyeing up a Newcastle seat despite the massive expense.

Also. If anyone has been on a DSO tour what's the easiest place to get to from the UK aside from Paris? Some of these seem in the middle of nowhere. Guessing Lyon is pretty easy. I don't have a seat but I'd love to have a crack at one.

Did a @Brocky last night and ran like my old car. False hope of a good start but ultimately break down every time.

Flipped like me actually trying to do a flip - not gonna happen. Lost a number of tickets.

5 UOS and only points in one nano. Tried to scare a big stack with my big stack by shoving over a raise on an AA7 flop with KK (I would have A in range a lot the way it played out pre) but after much deliberation was called by A8. Fair play gg.

Big day today. Didn't play fridays games but played some UOS on every other day and a combination of playing bad and not winning flips means it's been no good so far.

about 60th on the nano is all I have to show for it.

You will all know what I mean. THAT flip. The one when you're close to the money and it's the difference between scraping over the line or going for the final table. That's the one I can't win. I was going well in one of the lows yesterday when I got in THAT flip AK to AJ and the J hit. Crippled and crept into the money.

I totally understand what ar eu talking about with these flips

For example, from december to february, i almost never won one, i almost never won aces or kings preflop and that was fully 2 months.

Poker, especially mtt tournament can be very cruel, because u need to win some key flips late on when it crucial, asu sayed difference between cash and bust.

I had good previous year, but december to january i was down up to 2500 on medium stakes mtt , all on good spots.

Proper bankroll management, tilt control, patience and being able to put decent volume is a key to sucess at mtts, and i am far from be good at these all :(

Good luck to future grind

Completely understand and agree with everything you said. Thank you same to you!

it can be really cruel. The mental side of the game is what I've always struggled with but with me commiting a lot more family time recently I find myself taking these kind of flips a lot more often.

For me it's a case of 'if I win the flip I can go deep, if I lose the flip I can spend time with family'.

min cashes are irrelevant for me at the moment so I'm happy to gamble. Except maybe in the Sunday mains lol

Same story so far today. Big flip outside money in the nubula when someone called my 12bb allin with a tournament life 11bb stack with J10. Just ridiculous. 2 pairs too good for my AQ.  So frustrating when you play for so long. I know you can all relate.

Well UOS didn't go well and my yearly profit is almost certainly in minus and I haven't had the motivation to update it.

looking at pics of the UK tour it seems to have got off to a strong start numbers wise. Maybe I'll try for Newcastle tomorrow...

It's been a reallllllllllyyyyyyy long time since I was keeping this up to date. And I'm kinda sad about that. So let's make a post. There hasn't been much happening this year in terms of poker. With two young kids and lockdown it's hard to get any time to play - certainly to commit hours to MTTs which is what I want to do. I was house hunting before the virus too so al my expendable income was going in to that. Obviously that is on hold for the time being but I would very much like to commit a large bankroll to poker again when this is all over. The year started bad pokerwise too which is probably one of the reasons I didn't want to post but let's do the first profit update of the year and try to keep this more up to date from now on!

Tournaments played: 405 (334 sats)

ITM: 129 / 31.85%

Total buyin: €2137.20

Total Cashes: €2332.49

UNIBET Tournament Profit: +€195.29

ROI: 9.14%

Tournament wins: 1

1x Freeroll

 Hexapro

1: Played 13 won 7= +€5.5

2: Played 3 won 2 = +20

5: Played 1 won 0 = -5

Hexapro Profit: +€20.5

Cash

4NLH: 6 buyins +3.45 profit

4PLO: 7 buyins -4.36 profit

10PLO: 3 Buyins +21.11 profit

Cash Profit: +20.20

Total Games Played: 438

Total Profit: = +€235.99

You'd think with the rain we are having here after such gorgeous weather now would be the perfect time to actually play some poker. Alas it is not the case.

Hows a guy supposed to blog about poker when he never gets chance to play it?

Anyone elses countries said anything about the return of live poker and what that is going to look like? I've not heard much about casino's plans in the UK at all.

So where have I been? I guess I should say thanks to Unibet for starting me on the road to where I am now - which is a genuine home owner.. or at least having swapped a renting place for a mortgage!

Starting on the final table of a UK tour Nottingham a few years back, and including good wins at UK tour Glasgow and UO Dublin I have been building a deposit for a house for quite some time and those wins were nice boosts to allow me to finally take the next step. In the end we had to put large amounts away in a short space of time and this had a big impact on the amount of poker I could play - i.e zero. Not to mention the obvious pandemic making everything more difficult than it needed to be.

So I have finally moved back to the city I call home in Wolverhampton and rather than thinking about unpacking the hundreds of boxes I have placed around from floor to roof I am thinking about how to get my poker 'career' back on track.

So I am going to be basically building a bankroll from scratch, which isn't new to me but it should be fun and I'll be documenting it all once again right here.

I only hope that it won't be too long before I can see some of you guys and girls at a live event again!

Total profit 2019 - €3427.84 from 3700 games

Total profit 2020 - €624.62 from 586 games

Profit since 2015 - €50083.51 from 18586 games.

I'm really confident of having a good year with poker and had a nice day in very low stakes yesterday getting a feel back for the grind. I haven't deposited so I was only playing stuff I had tickets for. Increased the ticket roll a bit in the end but the challenge will come when things aren't going my way when I go back to the higher stakes.

I'll make a small deposit soon and grind my way back. I will definitley be taking part in the upcoming PKO series but I don't have the bankroll to be chasing any leaderboards so I'll just dip in and out here and there. GL to those taking part.
