SNG

Starting bankroll: 50 €; bankroll after week 29: 171,74 €; bankroll after week 30: 185,75 €

5x4€ SNG game (3 wins, twice bubble boy), profit: 18,01€.

No 2€ SNGs.

On the 1€ level I played 23 games (4 wins, 4 other cashes, total loss 4 €). Despite the small loss on this level, I am very satisfied with my play. I ran in a lot of situation into horrible spots, but this is part of the game, I accept it and I will try to not moan about it.

Cash games

Starting bankroll: 100 €; bankroll after week 29: 58,32 €; bankroll after week 30: 58,32 €

No cash games this week.

Satellites

Last week I was the bubble boy in a 4€ UO satellite, this week I finished on the right side in a 2€ UO satellite (6/28, 6x10€ tickets). The way that I managed to survive in one situation is worth mentioning. There was one big stack on my right, who limped almost every single pot in the middle stage of the tournament. I shoved my 10 BBs stack on him 3 or 4 of times and he folded. The exact same thing happened with me holding 6s6d and this time he called with Qh4h (what was he folding the previous times xD??). Qd8h2s on the flop, Th on the turn and I was down to one single out. Miracles happen sometimes, let’s remember this for the next time, when I am going to be on the other side.

MTT (bankroll 102,14 €)

No cashes in any MTTs this week.

Double or Nothing (bankroll 32,08$)

37 more played since the last update on this topic. Overall 138 played, 78 times ITM (56,5%).

SNG

Starting bankroll: 50 €; bankroll after week 30: 185,75 €; bankroll after week 31: 202,17 € +5x4€ tickets

7x4€ SNG game (2 wins, twice runner-up), profit: 10 €.

1x2€ SNGs and I won it, Profit: 4,33 €.

On the 1€ level I played 9 games (3 wins, 1 runner-up; total profit 2,09 €).

I have now 50 buy-ins as cash money in my SNG bankroll (the 3 losses at 4€ level were the last three SNGs, that I played this week), so I can now “legally” play the 4€ SNG level. I also bought 5x4€ SNG tickets to boost my bankroll. From what I’ve read on different sources “the following chart shows the statistical likelihood of a given sample of SNGs being a true indication of your ROI, these numbers are known as 'confidence intervals' as they show how confident we can be about each sample being a 'true' reflection.”

  •              100 games: ~23%
  •              300 games: ~40%
  •              1000 games: ~66%
  •              2000 games: ~82%

My goal will be to play as much as possible on the 4€ SNG level on Unibet until the end of the year. Let’s see where I am going to land then. Of course I will have to move down if my bankroll goes back to 160€. No moving up to the 10€ SNG level this year though!

Cash games

Starting bankroll: 100 €; bankroll after week 30: 58,32 €; bankroll after week 31: 58,32 €

No cash games this week.

Satellites

I played just 2x4€ UO satellites (used two tickets in both of them, because I did a rebuy). 1x25€ UO ticket won. My next goal is to collect 20x25€ UO tickets.

1x10€ UO ticket exchanged to 5x2€ UO tickets. 2x2€ UO satellites played, no cashes.

UO Ticket Bankroll:

1209138776_UOWeek31.png.4b78a66e5cb6266d778b9a518d5d2d86.png

A month ago I won a 1€ Unibet UK Tour ticket from a flip tournament. Using this one I won a 5€ ticket, then exchanged it and so on. I have a small Unibet UK Tour bankroll now. I will have a more aggressive approach here, then with the UO satellites. I want to qualify for one of the two remaining UK Tour events this year.

Unibet UK Tour Bankroll:

1183469337_UKTourWeek31.png.037be764a6a6aecad0fa33c6622bebc1.png

MTT (bankroll 113,86 €)

I won 1€ from the Betting Freeroll on Monday. I lost a huge three way pot (all in preflop, QQ for me, K9 and AQ, A on the flop) close before the bubble. I then folded disciplined into the money, nursing my 5 BB stack.

In the monthly freerolls I busted early on in the 1000€ tournament and finished 95/808 for 7,74 € prize in the 3000€ one. I was really card dead in this one, just one premium hand for more than 2,5 hours. The premium hand was QQ and got me a triple up shortly before the bubble. The bustout was A5<KT, K on the river…

As you can guess by the topic I will challenge myself. In this post I will explain the challenge.

Goals

The main one is VOLUME. I will try to play every single day, 100 games Monday-Friday and 100 more at the weekends. Overall I want to play 1000 games. For some of you this may sound not that much, but for me it is a huge number (I should point out once again, that I have a regular day job, 40 hours per week in the office + some time spent on the way and lunch breaks). I played 920 games (447 SNGs, 144 DoNs,204 satellites, 125 MTTs) in the past 9 months (since I record my results).

So I want to play more games for a month than I played for the past 9 months. How am I going to achieve this? The following points should make it clearer, how am I going to “win” more time:

  1. No cash games: During the previous months I also played cash games. In this challenge there will be none of these. All the hours (3-4 per week) spent on the cash game tables will be invested in other formats.
  2. Multi-table: Until May this year I played almost exclusively 1, sometimes 2 tables at the same time. Then I started to make SNG and DoNs sessions, while 3- or 4-tabling. During the challenge I will try to play at least 4 tables.
  3. More time spent on the tables: One of the biggest truths in poker is, that “you make money by playing poker, not talking about it!”. As much as I love hanging in here in the community, reading your blogs, writing my own posts, this will not be the case during the challenge. This will win me some extra hours. I will also cut off a lot of my other hobbies (watching TV shows, films, football games). No studying poker during this challenge as well.

Games

The main focus will be on the 5-man SNGs and DoNs. UO and UKTP satellites will also have their impact, some MTTs as well. Something like 700 SNGs/DoNs, 200 satellites and 100 MTTs. These are just rough numbers, I will not get too attached to them. Cash games and HexaPros are not part of this challenge.

Results

As I said the main goal is volume. This is the thing that I can control. I will not set some goal like X € wanted at the end of the challenge. However I will keep track of my results. My starting  stats are the following:

  • SNG bankroll: 202,17€
  • Cash game bankroll: (not part of the challenge) 58,32€
  • Satellite bankroll: 305€ in tickets
  • MTT bankroll: 113,86€
  • Bonus Points: 8470
  • Challenge Points: 2014
  • DoNs/other poker room bankroll: 33,52$

It will be interesting to see how this stats will look in 31 days.

Rules

The challenge starts today at 17:00 CEST and ends on 06.09.2020.

I need to respect my bankroll management.

I have to try to play my A game every single time I sit on a table. This can be a small issue, as I am not used to play that much and I will get tired more often.

I will use the following buy-in limits:

  • SNG ≤ 4€
  • MTT ≤ 2€
  • UO Satellites ≤ 25€
  • UK satellites: no limit
  • DoNs ≤ 5$

Conclusion

Wish me good luck guys! I will definitely need some. See you at the tables and here in 31 days. Hopefully I will report some good news!

@P0kerM0nk @RaulonY thank you guys!

@RaulonY I play Double or Nothing Turbo NLHE: 8 players, 1500 starting chips, 5 minutes levels. The rake on the 1$ level is 7%. My idea is to attack a top 8 finish in a weekly (Monday-Friday) micro leaderboard. Some rakeback will also get me some money. The playerpool is ok: there are at least 2 clueless players, some regs, but mostly bad regs, who still take lots of unnecessery risks. I read Dara's book Poker Satellite Strategy twice now, and DoNs are just a final table of a satellite and are a great way to train your bubble play, so I find them very useful.

@GR1ZZL3R  haha 1 hour was a little bit optimistic of course. Still there is a shop near my flat, I always do a shopping list, so that I don't spend much time searching stuff. Then you can guess that my "cooking" isn't something fancy, and the vacuum cleaning takes me 10 minutes. Of course I do other stuff in between the games (such as washing the dishes for example). Anyway, wasn't exactly the point of my post 🤣🤣🤣 See you tonight at the tables at the Weekly Unibet Community Masters, hopefully at HU 🆒

That's good @LeVsKaRa I try to do all my jobs as fast as possible in between more important things like picking winners or 3-betting 7/5o from under the gun. Glad to see we have our priorities right. 🤣 Gl later. 👍

  • 3 weeks later...

Yesterday was the first day since I started the challenge, when I had some real motivational and tilt problems. It all began on Monday: for the first time during the challenge I could’t secure at least 1 5-man SNG win (15 played, 5 runner-ups, 7-8 times bubble boy). I was coolered, bad beaten and card dead. Of course this is absolutely normal in poker, 15 games is nothing and a downswing like that will come from time to time. The previous weeks were great, I for sure ran hot and made good profit from the SNGs. I kinda got used to it and expected to run that good every single session/day. On Monday night I was frustrated, but went to bed and didn’t do anything stupid. The next day I was still tilting, a feeling that was new to me. First SNG of the day and of course I didn’t cash and things got worse. I took a stupid decision to use one 25€ MTT ticket (playing this kind of MTT tilting…not a good idea). You can imagine that it didn’t go well. I was card dead almost the whole time, couldn’t connect with a flop at all, despite playing decent preflop. This all summed up and I overplayed a middle pair and busted. The next wrong decision was to use the rebuy option (this time with cash). Of course it was a disaster as I was still tilting. So 25€ down, 25€ ticket busted and I started a SNG. Thankfully I won it and ended up my session as I was in a bad mental situation.

Some US open and a miraculous comeback from Andy Murray after being two sets and a break in the third down made my evening (it was part of my betslip).

I made this poker blog to help me. This post has exactly this purpose. Sorry if I lost your time! Greetings and you will hear from me on Monday, when I am going to post the results of the challenge!

Challenge completed over

I played a total of 807 games, so the challenge is finished with 80,7% success.

SNG

Bankroll at challenge begin: 202,17€; bankroll after challenge: 536,49€

9x1€ SNGs (1 win, 1 other cash; profit: -4,25€); 35x2€ SNGs (15 wins, 6 other cashes; profit: 43,97€); 439x4€ SNGs (113 wins, 83 other cashes, profit: 201,10€); HexaPro profit: 13,50€; tickets bought with bonus points and rakeback: 80€.

Here is my first result graph for the 4€ SNG level (463 played, ROI 14,2%).

718510907_4SNG_06_09_2020.png.52190d994dea8f424b2c801c9efe74d0.png

Satellites

Bankroll ticket (UO+UK Tour) at challenge begin: 305€; after challenge: 445€.

16x2€ ,20x4€, 5x10€ UO and 1x25€ UO satellites played.

UO Ticket bankroll:

1391408480_UOWeekChallenge.png.88b7ff9149e26f320dbffb6b8cbf8624.png

24x1€, 8x5€ and 2x50€ UK Tour satellites played. Unfortunately I couldn’t win a ticket, despite playing my best game at the final yesterday. I finished 6th with 4 packages. When we were down to 6 the tournament went on for more than an hour with 6 times all in and a call and the short stack always survived, despite being 4 times an underdog and twice a flip coin. And then of course I busted…

Unibet UK Tour bankroll:

1714971248_UKTourChallenge.png.e853c5f6c4dd69933fef0a0ca1185721.png

MTT (bankroll 24,07 €)

115 MTTs played. Nothing to be proud of here. I didn’t respect my bankroll management and played some 5€, 10€ and even 1x25€ tournaments.

Double or Nothing (56,15$ bankroll)

72x1$, 48x2$ DoNs and 13x18-man SNGs played.

Challenge and Bonus Points Unibet

17428 challenge and 1080 bonus points at the end of the challenge.

Summary

It was a new experience for me playing that many games for such a short time. It was fun at the start, when I ran very hot. Then it got ugly in the last 10 days. While I was playing solid, I just kept losing no matter how strong a favorite I was when the money got in. It was exhausting mentally.

Future plans

First two weeks off from poker (starting tomorrow). Then by the end of the year I want to play 4€ SNGs to get a decent sample on that level. I want to read the whole Moshman’s SNG Strategy book and take notes. Some UO and UK Tour satellites will also be played. No cash games, no DoNS and no MTTs!

2x2€ SNGs, finished 2nd and 3rd, and 1x1€ SNG played.

I also played 1x1€ HexaPro with a ticket. 5x multiplier and I won it, wohooo!!!

October has arrived! This means, that we are in the last quarter of the year, the challenge points are reset. The previous quarter was a record for me, when I collected 18 018 challenge points. It was also a profitable time and my overall bankroll reached 700 € for the first time. A four figure score in the end of the year looks now achievable. After playing so many satellites this year, it will be nice to win a ticket for an actual event. The winter edition of the UK Tour is the most realistic one for me until the end of 2020. Setting a results-oriented goals is never a good idea, so I am not going to do that. I will just try to get better and better in my game types and see what happens.

That being said, here are my new monthly goals (low volume expected due to some deadlines at the office):

New monthly goals: October 2020

  • Satellite goal: play 15 satellites
  • SNG challenge: play at least 35 SNGs
  • Study goal: Read at least 1 full chapter of Collin Moshman’s “Sit ‘n Go Strategy” and take notes

November is here (and soon this ❤️♥️❤️ty year is going to be over). I haven’t updated my blog the whole October, so this post may get a bit long. Overall it was a good month for me on the tables. I was able to play more games than expected and the bankroll continued his growth.

Evaluation of monthly goals: October 2020

  • Satellite goal: play 15 satellites COMPLETED
    • I played exactly 15 satellites. Not much of a success here.
  • SNG challenge: play at least 35 SNGs COMPLETED
    • A total of 114 SNGs
  • Study goal: Read at least 1 full chapter of Collin Moshman’s “Sit ‘n Go Strategy” and take notes COMPLETED

2020- Results Update #30

SNG

Starting bankroll: 50 €; bankroll after week 39: 588,66 €; bankroll after week 44: 582,68 €

99x4€ SNG game (26 wins, 17 times runner-up), profit: 41,03 €. 11 of them were played with tickets (bought with bonus points), so that means 44 € additional to the SNG bankroll.

15x2€ SNGs (6 wins, 3 other cashes), profit: 17,49€.

I also played some HexaPros (mistake!, I shouldn’t do it). I lost 8,50€…

Cash games

Starting bankroll: 100 €; bankroll after week 39: 68,56 €; bankroll after week 44: 68,56 €

Satellites

I invested 5x4€ UO tickets and managed to win just 1x25€ UO ticket, small profit after all.

UO Ticket Bankroll:

722477836_UOWeek44.png.b9acd6e33131414adcbe945993172d62.png

MTT (bankroll 62,98 €)

I played just the Betting Freeroll as MTT during this month (4-5 times). One big score here, when I finished 2/408 for 37,13 € and one other cash for 1,08€ (66/417).

The Betting Freeroll will remain the one and only MTT, that I am going to play until the end of November.

Double or Nothing (56,15$ bankroll)

Just a reminder, that I have a couple of bucks at another poker room :D.

  • 1 month later...

It was a hard month for me. I created this blog in order to help me, and it is a tough period for me right now, so I will be completely honest here. As you can guess I lost some money in the last 30 days. The month started actually in a perfect way, in the first two weeks my bankroll even reached 1000€ for the first time ever. A milestone, that is very important for me, because I’ve always had this feeling that I can deposit 100€ and then turn them easily into 1000€. Back in my gambling days I was couple of times very close to reaching this milestone, mostly by playing the roulette and placing some big sports bets. Of course in the end I always lost my money, because of the pure gambling. In the last 2 years I definitely got more disciplined, cut off the casino stuff completely and reduced sports betting to a minimum. My focus got all on poker, where I followed very strict bankroll management. And the things got better, slowly, but surely my bankroll grew and I finally reached the “golden” milestone.

And then came this problem (it is mostly mental and I believe most of us have this one): “When I win I do always right, when I lose I also do everything right and I blame mostly the bad luck, the variance and the fishy players.” Of course this is a complete nonsense and bull❤️♥️❤️. A results oriented thought, which is so wrong… The fact that you win does not mean that you didn’t make any mistakes. Hell no, sometimes even with some fundamental mistakes you win a hand or even a tournament, because you got lucky.

When I reached 1000€ I took the decision to play some 10€ SNGs. It is not a big problem, I have the bankroll. The problem is that I didn’t plan this. And when I bubbled the first couple of tournaments after bad beats it got me frustrated, I wanted to immediately reach 1000€ again. Basically I started other 10€ SNGs and long story short I lost the majority of them. It will be easy to blame just the variance. But to be honest, I still make lots of mistakes in the SNGs, the competition on the 10€ level is tougher and my mistakes were punished. It didn't stop here. I placed a bet of 50€ on 3.5 odds in order "to win back my losses"... I lost the bet.

After this long intro let’s take a look at my November goals.

Evaluation of monthly goals: November 2020

  • Satellite goal: play 15xUK Tour satellites COMPLETED
  • SNG challenge: play at least 100 SNGs COMPLETED
    • A total of 160 SNGs
  • Complete all parts of the November missions COMPLETED
  • Study goal: Read at least 1 full chapter of Collin Moshman’s “Sit ‘n Go Strategy” and take notes COMPLETED

2020- Results Update #31

SNG

Starting bankroll: 50 €; bankroll after week 44: 682,68 €; bankroll after week 48: 663,5 €

In my previous post there was a mistake in the bankroll after week 44: 682,68 € is the correct one.

Micro levels (1€-4€ buy-ins):

5x1€ SNGs (1 win, 2 other cashes); profit: 1,33 €.

25x2€ SNGs (5 wins, 3 other cashes), two of them were played with tickets, loss: 4,84 €.

110x4€ SNG games (27 wins, 24 times runner-up), two of them were played with tickets (bought with bonus points); profit: 62,01 €. My ROI at this level is 13,9 % after 698 games.

1076114751_Screenshot(154).png.602feba7a3191f0dc93c1e0f6486369c.png

I also played some HexaPros with tickets and for the monthly missions. I made 11,50 € profit.

Small levels (10€ buy-in):

Described with one word: disaster!  20 played (1 win, 5 times runner-up), loss: 89,18€.

Cash games

Starting bankroll: 100 €; bankroll after week 44: 68,56 €; bankroll after week 48: 55,39 €

13,17 € lost, mainly at the Omaha tables for completing the monthly missions.

Satellites

I lost some tickets.

UO Ticket Bankroll:

1164653862_Screenshot(155).png.86a035dacf0a5159512e54490e090177.png

Unibet UK Tour Bankroll:

320716294_Screenshot(156).png.ae377f79884d0dffb35f9f7216da73a5.png

MTT (bankroll 129,07 €)

I “walked almost to the Moon”: I finished 3rd in the 5€ R/A MoonWalk. The price was 108,87€. I did a couple of rebuys and the add-on, but the profit was still good.

Although it was a R/A tournament and I expected more loose play in the period of late registration, the things that I saw were just ridiculous. Guys shoving 50 BB with Q5o, calling all ins with 74o… I am seriously thinking of slowly switching to these events. You just don’t see such fishes in the 5-man SNGs. Of course there are lots of small mistakes from the players in the 5-man SNGs, but the edges are surely smaller. MTTs are of course huge variance and take lots of time. My main game will remain the 5-man SNGs for the near future. When my bankroll gets bigger I plan to make a transition to the MTTs.

I also played the Betting Freeroll again 4-5 times. I managed to reach the final table once (9/406 for 20,20€) and did cash one more time for 2,12€.

Double or Nothing (56,15$ bankroll)

Once again a reminder, that I have a couple of bucks at another poker room. The plan is going to withdraw them and invest them in some books or online courses.

New monthly goals: December 2020

I will have some more time for poker this month, so let’s push myself with the following goals:

  • Satellite goal: play 50 satellites
  • SNG challenge: play at least 302 SNGs on the 4€ level (so that I will reach 1000 games at this level)
  • Reach 12 500 challenge points (current: 7793)
  • Complete 25 of the 31 missions (31 Days of Christmas) and get a ticket to the €5k freeroll in January
  • Study goal: Finish “Sit ‘n Go Strategy” and finish the notes on the book
  • Play the 5€ Deep Stack Tournament at least 5 times (1 re-entry per tournament allowed). With that plan I will lose 50€ in the worst case scenario.

First of all Happy New Year. Let’s hope we all stay healthy!

December was my best poker month ever! I had my biggest ever score online (if I don’t count the 2000€ UO package, that I won 2019) and some other big MTT scores. My main game was still the 4€ 5-man SNG, unfortunately the results there weren’t great, despite playing well the whole month. Let’s first take a look at my December goals.

Evaluation of monthly goals: December 2020

  • Satellite goal: play 50 satellites NOT COMPLETED
    • 35 satellites played
  • SNG challenge: play at least 302 SNGs on the 4€ level (so that I will reach 1000 games at this level) NOT COMPLETED
    • 216x5-man SNGs played
  • Reach 12 500 challenge points (current: 7793) COMPLETED
    • I finished the quarter with 20 415 challenge points.
  • Complete 25 of the 31 missions (31 Days of Christmas) and get a ticket to the €5k freeroll in January COMPLETED
  • Study goal: Finish “Sit ‘n Go Strategy” and finish the notes on the book: NOT COMPLETED
  • Play the 5€ Deep Stack Tournament at least 5 times (1 re-entry per tournament allowed). With that plan I will lose 50€ in the worst case scenario. NOT COMPLETED

One year ago I set myself the following goals for 2020:

  1. Stay disciplined! Respect my bankroll management!
  2. Improve my SNG-, MTT- and satellite-play!
  3. Qualify for at least one Unibet Open event in 2020!
  4. Build a bankroll and become a regular 4€-SNG player!
  5. Do not play any HexaPro games, unless with free tickets!

I am very happy to announce that I achieved all of them except number 3. There were no live events this year because of the pandemic, but I did build a solid ticket bankroll and hopefully I will qualify for UO events this year.

The first graph below shows the ticket bankroll during 2020.

The second graph shows my money during 2020. I managed to turn the starting bankroll of 180€ into 1541,24€ at Unibet. During the 30 Day Challenge in August and in the last weeks of December I spent lots of hours on the tables, which explains the big jumps. Overall the bankroll grew from month to month, which makes me happy and shows my progress.

Main goals for 2021:

  1. Stay discipled! Respect my bankroll management!
    • I had separate bankrolls during 2020 (cash games, SNGs, MTTs). This helped me a lot to realize, which games are best for me and where do I make/lose money. From now on I will see my money as one overall bankroll. My bankroll management rules are the following: buy-ins <=1,5% for MTTs and <=2% for SNGs.
  2. Improve my SNG-, MTT- and satellite-play!
  • I will try some video course for MTTs. Until now I used poker books for SNGs and satellites, let’s try some other study approach.
  1. Play at least 10 UK Tour/UO satellites finals.
  2. Reach the 25€ SNG level.
    • My new bankroll management allows me to play 25€ SNGs, but I want to beat the 10€ level first. I need to play at least 1000x10€ SNGs with a ROI > 7,5% in order to play on the next level.
  3. Stay away from the cash tables, HexaPros, casino slots and sports betting.
    • Small exception will be the monthly missions, community promos, etc. But I need to play only on the lowest limit possible.
  4. Make a Supernova (100€ buy-in) debut and a Big Bang (200€ buy-in) debut
    • These are the biggest weekly buy-in events at Unibet and I wish to play them just once this year. I can achieve this goal either through satellites or if I build a five figure cash bankroll xD

January 2021 Starting bankroll: 1541,24 €

This month could have been the best in my “poker career”. After getting my biggest ever cash online in the first week of the month, I did lots of stupid things. I didn’t set any specific goals at the begging of the month, which was a very big mistake, because I played all kinds of games, without having a decent plan.

Let’s just look at my results.

SNG

The 5 seat SNGs at Unibet were still my main game. I manage to play 84 games (17 wins, 24 runner-ups) with 4€ buy-in. 6 of these were played with tickets, bought with bonus points. So the total profit is: 55,31€. My overall graph after 937 games looks like this (ROI 11,5 %):

1731543948_Graph4SNG_31_01_2021.png.019f81705ca31903f2fd63e1b128d1ed.png

Things were going great, bankroll was big, so I decided once again to try the 10€ SNGs. I didn’t run hot for sure, but I also did lots of amateur mistakes. And the competition is stronger on this level, which meant that I constantly lost money. I played 22 games (5 wins, 1 runner-up, 9 times bubble boy), overall I have played 84 games on this level and I am currently 11 buy-ins down.

Well who knows why, I also played some 25€ SNGs (6 played, 1 runner-up, 3 times bubble boy)... Here I ran terrible (JJ<AKo, AA<KK and KK<ATo were the hands on the bubble).

It didn’t stop there unfortunately… Next up were the 5€ HexaPros, then the 10€, 25€ and even couple of 50€ ones in some major tilt moments… Bottom line I lost couple of hundreds € playing this format.

Poker teached me once again some important lessons: respect bankroll management, quit sessions, when tilting and just never ever load this “bingo” tables! Hopefully I will learn them this time!

Enough moaning! In the second part of this post there is some pretty good news, which made the month even a profitable one, despite the big tilt losses.

Satellites

I invested some more money in the UK Tour satellites (flips with 0,05€ buy-in) to boost my ticket bankroll for this event. I will try to win some 50€ UK Tour tickets, exchange them back to 10x5€ tickets and build a ticket bankroll, which will allow me to skip the 1€ level completely. As a new rule I will play a 5€ buy-in satellite only when I have at least 10x5€ UK Tour tickets.

Unibet UK Tour bankroll:

I didn’t play many UO qualifiers this month. Tickets are not going to expire soon, so no pressure here.

Unibet Open bankroll:

I played also some MTT satellites and won 2x50€ tickets for the Neptune in the first days of the month.

MTT

The Neptune is a very nice MTT, but 25€ and 50€ buy-ins are still a bit higher for me. As I had one 50€ ticket from a community promotion for this one and I added few more tickets through satellites, I was able to play the Neptune twice this month. The first time I reached the final table with a medium stack. 8 places were paid. After ridiculous outcome (5 times the short stacks survived with less than 20% equity, twice against me) I finished bubble boy. My AQs was unable to hold the preflop all in against AJs in my final hand (I shoved my 10 BB stack).

In the second one I won almost every single flip and my hands always held, which secured me 3rd place finish for more than 700€.

1627643947_Neptune3rdplace.thumb.png.015b467ccdb3e68355b38dcdd61a0ef1.png

Below is the list with my significant cashes (more than 20€) in the MTTs during this month.

  • 708,36€               4000€ Neptune Rebuy                 (3/43)
  • 155,87€               750€ MoonWalk                            (2/67)
  • 86,34$                 500$ Deepstack                            (2/107)
  • 26,10€                 5000€ Christmas Freeroll            (38/372)
  • 23,88€                 750€ MoonWalk                            (8/71)

Sports Betting

I invested 100€ in long term bets (football champions). I won’t give away, which teams I picked or from which championships. Let’s hope that it will be a good investment.

From now on I will use a maximum of 1,5% from my overall bankroll as a betting limit for a single bet. Minimum odds are going to be 2,10. Betting is not my priority, but as I am a big football fan, I will bet from time to time.

Witdraw money?

I withdrew 500€ from Unibet and deposited them in another poker room. As much as I love Unibet, the MTT schedule isn’t perfect, especially during the early hours.

My plan is to start withdrawing money once I reach 5-figure bankroll (if I ever do).

Good to see you achieved your goals!.Well done! I've read your blogs from the last few months and it's great to read you got the discipline back after the issue in November. I think it's good you were honest about that. Feeling hyped about reaching the €1000 bankroll, then losing some money and playing a bit higher to get back to €1000 as soon as possible: that sounded so familiar to me. I know exactly how it feels and how it goes. The feeling afterwards is horrible. But... you were honest about it AND you got back to your rules. That's exactly what I'm trying to do, as you may have read in my blog. The thing is, if we lose some money but we keep our focus and discipline we will eventually get there. Well done, keep up the good work :atisfied:
