Dennis__
I put 2000€ into the account. I really hope I don´t have to recharge. I played 11 games today at 25s and 50s and I was pleasantly shocked by the level of play. I will give one example:this basically happened on every table! Despite this I just couldn´t materialize anything and losing most of my flips I ended the day a little over 100€ down. I really don´t need this to resume where it ended several months ago.
CuteRaven
Haha, villains avatar there really fits the theme, torching all the chips!100€ is nothing at those stakes, I'm sure you can make it back :D.And yeah probably my idea about trying out grinding SNG with good profits is somewhat unrealistic for several reasons (also I don't like playing tight so I don't like ICM and I probably won't get Windows just for that). I might hop in a few tables for fun occasionally though just to see what the action is like.
Dennis__
actually, after seeing this I think a decent/bad reg can have a nice winrate with the effectively negative rake during the promotion. But things might change, maybe some good regs will be attracted from elsewhere (I hope not😃)
CuteRaven
Maybe I am wrong, but I think inevitably when there is such a good offer, regs will be attracted. The question is how many, which also probably depends on the amount of marketing/coverage that this promotion gets in and outside of Unibet. But maybe recreational players will be attracted by this too, and I think almost any amount of regs won't make up for the positive impact that playing rake free will have.
Dennis__
I sat 25s+ today, though no 100s fired off. Started out really badly again, then I had a little swing and then it got bad again. The roll is back to the original deposit, could be worse. One thing I do regret though is not playing here in such a long time. The games are ever so soft, some seem to be completely void of regs (could be wrong about that of course) and some people 4bet jam 65o as if it were the 1s. It´s fun to play
Dennis__
What an amazing session! I sat 25s+ again with no 100s running. The roll went up 250€! I couldn´t believe my luck. That was until the cancer run started. There are so many bad players but whenever it´s flipping time I end up looking into a dominating hand or lose a flip. I lost 400€ these last few hours with only one 2nd place in a 25 and busting everything else. I am 140€ down from the original deposit. Very disappointing😠 It´s so frustrating because the games are soooo sooooo soft but I just can´t make any money on them.
Groggy
Hi Dennis. It seems like you are a bit too invested in your short term results. A good solution which I find is a feature I really like on unibet is to hide your balance. It makes you more process orientated. If you have 2k euros in your account and the games are as soft as you say then its unlikely you will bust the roll. Also I am curious what this unibet SnG promotion that has been eluded to is. Or did I misinterpret something.
laifstaile
@Dennis__ looking those hands it comes down to that....r u willing to gamble...or have u balls to call me... i have seen it countless times in HexaPro....villains just jam almost any 2.... loosing flips with dominating hand is hard...#FeelsBadMan If u want a chop u do not get it....If u do not want chop u get it... Dennis__
@Groggy I used to do that and it works well as long as I run reasonably close to EV, however I get nervous when I lose a lot. Is the loss 100€ or 800€? If it´s the latter I prefer to just know that. I guess it´s a certain (probably unjustified) fear of getting the "insufficient funds" notice when registering a 25 one day🤣 As for short term results, I have played well over 20.000 SNGs this year alone so I am well aware that the 40 or so games on Unibet are meaningless in terms of samplesize, but after so many games with a rather disappointing performance and seemingly no real upswings I just can´t help but get annoyed when I drop once again. I doubt that anyone here would react any different Edit: I played 2200 SNGs at the 25€ Buyin level earlier this year and ended up exactly breakeven, so it´s not just these 40 games
CuteRaven
Without ICM/reads 55 is a clear reshove. I think I would still reshove it with all the dead money and the probably aggressiveness of the SB big stack. Maybe if reads give me a reason to, I might fold.I decided to cheat and checked what ICMizer said (because I have very little ICM knowledge myself :P), and this is what it thinks about reshoving it:Whats your volume so far in the double volume grind on Unibet (if you know it)? I'm still quite optimistic of you getting in the green from the 6 (or 3) buyins downswing :D.
Dennis__
@CuteRaven That´s what I thought and it is indeed an easy jam against a minraise. The problem here is that he is a recreational and he 4xed, which in my experience usually means they have a medium/decendish hand and just want to commit themself. I ran the same simulation but adjusted his calling range to much more than what ICMIZER has it. Here are the results.the question is how accurate this is. This has him calling some J8s and Q6s stuff which I have definitely seem from recreationals. I folded
Dennis__
didn´t count but only played a few games so far.
CuteRaven
Ok, I don't know what the meta in 5 mans is but in cash games and Hexas the regs seem to raise initially (when they don't limp or jam) from the small blind somewhere between 2.5 BB and 4 BB with 3 BB being the most common. But yeah against recs I understand the fold :D, especially if this was a different sizing than a previously used one by this player.
Dennis__
tiny updateI played a short session mainly on another site to fulfill the weekly volume, only got two 25s running on Unibet and won them both! So I am now at -25€Will be back tonight at 11 UK time
Dennis__
played my way back to about -15€. So many mistakes again, like in these ICM spots:
Dennis__
I must have been Ted Bundy in a previous life, as otherwise I just don´t understand why I deserve this. 25s to 100s today. The games were a bit regheavier but the fish were still plentiful. Lots of random plays but I just can´t win.The result? -640€, was almost -800€ but thankfully I managed to win at least the very last game
P0kerM0nk
I feel your pain @Dennis__ think we both need to have a word with the Unibet reps on here 🤣 that bloody doom switch they got in their office ✊
Dennis__
added another 100€ to the loss. I just can´t realize any equity, if I even have any to start with. It´s a bit depressing. On the other side, there are still many fish in the games, the regs seem very ABC and I am quite certain I have an edge over them in <25 BB play and I am playing with the 600€ welcome bonus (due to living in a different country then when I originally registered with Unibet). Combined with the normal cashback that puts the effective rake at about 1% at 25s and less at 50s+. I don´t see how I could not be profitable in these games. Still sucks.

Dennis__
@Stubbe-Unibet thanks! One question, it says rake free on 50s + 100s on the promo page, however in the original post it said 25s+ are rakefree. Could you clarify?
Rushbie
That has to be mistake on the website that the ones writing those haven't corrected yet. Apparently they all should be rakefree (25,50,100)
Stubbe-Unibet
EDIT: some confusion around this one, as many different setups were discussed. €25, €50 and €100 will be rake/fee free :) 3 Check the latest poker release notes. Dennis__
It´s truly amazing how bad I run. There isn´t even that much to say. Once the money goes in I lose. I am now a little over 1.300€ down from the initial deposit. I made another variance simulation today, assuming an average buyin of 35€, 100 games sample (I raked 120€ so it might even be less) and a 0% ROI. Yes. Not even beating the games. Here is the result:So I am close to the bottom of the 99,7% confidence interval, even if I assume that I don´t even beat the games:geek:I really don´t know what to think. I have studied this format so much. I can spot mistakes and inaccuracies in some of the other regs play and some people have no clue what they are doing whatsoever. But then this...I have so many thoughts about this. How long will it take to grind it back? Does anybody appreciate how lucky they run at the moment (at my cost)? Am I really this unlucky or am I just a really awful player? Am I even ment to succeed? Anyway, here are some rants
Rushbie
You think the future is solely made out of your tears? No man, time and variance doesn't give a sh1t. It's only a platform for ppl to try things and evolve. Nowadays the games are generally speaking harder than ever before, but you know why those situations are more than welcomed :P It may feel bad now, but don't let the game crush you. Deal with it 🆒
