Pretty impressive stuff @Brocky  only one red day so far this month, more or less recovered the day after.

Any news on the streaming front and are you still playing under your own name?

Hi mate, thanks.

With regards to streaming, it's been a bit awkward because a lot of my grinding has been through the hours of 11pm-10am so everyone is going to be in bed.  I think if I stream from here on for heads up I will be covering hole cards with no delay and only showing all ins/interesting spots but with March's results being so good I've just wanted to keep my head down and focus on playing my A-game.

I have been changing aliases most days recently but playing with that one for the whole day.  I believe there are benefits to not changing alias if you're good at adapting and you're playing the same opponent regularly.  For example, if a reg sees me use a certain bet size with a bluff I will likely be weighting value hands heavier with that sizing until they appear to adapt to it.  I battled a reg at the 50s today and he was super aggro meaning I was 3 bet jamming wider than I usually would.  As a result, I could then just flat his raises with hands such as KK/AA and then check/raise almost any flop knowing that he will never give me credit for the top of my range given I am 3 betting a large percentage.  In heads up we just need to adapt quicker than our opponent.

I haven't bumped into the same 'reg' alias on more than one day at the 50s though so it appears they're changing aliases as well.

Plus look at the play on words I get to do by changing!

May do a stream shortly actually.  Will let you know.

hysterical! :Rofl::Rofl::Rofl::Rofl::Rofl::Rofl::Rofl::Rofl:

Oh my aching sides!

Good to see you're concentrating again and the graphs are looking good.👍

I've always wondered why pros play through the night shift and never really got a definite answer. Your thoughts on this one please. :wonder:

@GR1ZZL3R i got Charl on a Saturday late night shift recently and she crushed it. Won sats without playing hands and making final tables. People rebuying in sats twice as many times as the seat is actually worth. The low stakes pool is mainly made up of drunken and tired gamblers desperate to give you money at those times lol wouldn’t want to be on the wrong side of variance there though!

I enjoyed it @Brocky trying to pick up your tendencies, and when you showed the hand seeing how far off I was. Sometimes in a galaxy far far away, but occasionally quite close.😃

I will say you'll have to practice not giving too much away, showing cards while the hand is playing and basically calling your cards but that's only to be expected for a first attempt. Sound effort. 😃Which do you prefer?

Nice to hear @MetalWolf  I hope Charl keeps crushing. I've never been too much of an evening player, football, sports and films take the time up, but I often hear what you and @Brocky are saying and may have to reschedule slightly. 🤣

I much preferred the interaction of the no delay stream, just need to work on not giving info away!

Spreadsheet is getting a bit messy because of my sleeping pattern and me playing over more than one calendar day during one session.  This 'today' graph is mostly yesterday but for some reason the first 15 games or so was from the day before.  The big downswing at game 125 onwards was when I started streaming 🤣

19-03-19.PNG.4bd54ebcc02c74c67c16c871f02fffb2.PNG

March stands at £5,216.89.  Challenge points at 1,129,000, so 121k needed in the road to London!

Big grind incoming today hopefully.  If anyone enjoyed yesterday's stream please let me know and I will stream again later.

Edit: For those wondering about the night shift @GR1ZZL3R

Just won 3bi from this guy who was going mental - one example below:

Lol.  Sometimes in life you believe things are starting to go well and there's always a crashing thud around you to bring you back to reality.  March is one of those months.  Everything has been going so well, I've been playing well, grinding fairly hard and enjoying poker again.   You try and do the right things in life but for whatever reason someone, somewhere is about to ❤️♥️❤️ you.

I played a morning session earlier, won around 360 euros.  There was a planned maintenance so I decided to join the gym, I've been talking about it for months, so what better time?  Walked down there, did a short workout, felt knackered as to be expected and then came back feeling good about the grind.  I sit a couple of 50 euro tables and I'm very quickly sat by the same player on both.  Immediate suspicion here, likely to be a reg. Anyway, we start playing and I say to myself I'll probably just play these 2 and not bother battling a reg.  I proceed to literally miss every single flop.  Every time I bluff he has it, every time I call he has it and just to cheer me up even more, I lose the first game in a fashion I cannot even remember because the hand history on the client refuses to show me.  In the 2nd game, similar, then I raise/call KQs at like 18bb vs his 3 bet jam, where he's jammed K4o and hit runner runner 4 card flush.  Pretty frustrated I decided to fire a couple more up, I win 1 game in 9.  I'm getting it behind almost every game, he literally always has it.  I tilt reg 5 x 100 euro games, win 2 and I end up playing 2 x 200 euro games, losing both.  3 wins out of 16 games, brilliant.  Obviously it was stupid of me to tilt move up but I couldn't really believe my eyes.  I must admit that after 100,000 SNGs in my lifetime, I am still shocked at what I see on Unibet.  I've played all of the major sites/networks out there but I've never, ever had such streaks (both wins and losses) as I see regularly on here.  I'm not saying it's rigged of course but the human brain will never be able to comprehend variance and that really ❤️♥️❤️s with you.

I ended up dropping around 1k euros to this guy, I just couldn't do anything.  I turned the nut straight twice and he snap folded both times, the only time I had the goods in 16 games.  I promise you I am not even exaggerating.  For me it's not the monetary loss that bothers me, although that is annoying, it's just how you spend 3 weeks building confidence back just to be knocked down time after time.  He was a decent player but poker is a game where anyone dealt as many nutted hands and coolers as him would be able to win those games.  I know it's slightly dramatic but I feel like I'm back to square one, which obviously I'm not.  Will probably take a few hours off then do a stream later.

It hurts.  It ❤️♥️❤️ hurts.

The last few days have been horrible.  I haven't placed a bet on sports/casino for possibly almost 4 weeks, which is a long time for me.  As a result, I felt the itch last weekend as I've previously mentioned, which has spilled over to poker.  I've played a fair few 100s/200s which I didn't really want to be doing and it's not been going great.  I lost £1k a couple of days ago and was up around £700 yesterday before only finishing around £280 up.  Pretty tilting, definitely stupid of me.  Normally when I get into a gambly mindset I take a few days off cold turkey style and come back fresh but the issue is I have 10 days (more likely 7 or 8 given social commitments - none of which I want to go to lol!) to get the points for the UO package.  I'm currently sat at around 92k away.  Definitely achievable in terms of volume but I am losing motivation after grinding 23 days straight and I am in a bad mental state for poker (very gambly mood, tilting easily etc).

Not going to post the graph for the last few days because it'll only annoy me further.  I haven't even updated the spreadsheet properly tbh and just to top it off I lost my first 7 all ins today after logging in.  The heads up grind is ❤️♥️❤️ tough at times.

Peace <3

Decided to take a couple of days off which leaves me 8 days to complete the challenge to reach 1.25m points.  Annoyingly I have a wedding to go to next Friday which means I'll also be hungover on the Saturday, so realistically I have 6 days to complete this and I need around 92k points, meaning just over 15k per day.  This isn't impossible by any means but I'm not really in the mood for 100+ games per day battling regs, so will be tough.  I've got about 23bi left for my shot at the 50s after a downswing so hopefully I don't run terrible today and can build that up.  If I have to move down to the 25s it's highly unlikely I will be making UO London.

On the plus side I've finally bought a microphone for streaming, only cost £8.50 so was expecting it to be poor quality but seems to do the job.  Will try and do a stream today depending on how the grind is going.  Not much to add apart from that.

Edit: Logs in, first game all in pre

lol.PNG.658a0af67d56389156fe4c0974f5fa3f.PNG

Logs out.

I'll try again later 🤣

❤️♥️❤️ everything but most importantly, ❤️♥️❤️ the RNG that never lets me win when I play higher stakes.

It's been a fun ride but I am done. Thanks for all of the support in the thread, thanks for tuning into the stream, honestly really appreciate it. I hope you guys run like gods in the future <3

It summed it up nicely. I'm going to transition to MTTs. It's been something I've wanted to do for a while but HU was going so well this month until I seemed to hit a brick wall where it refused to let me win. I'll probably have some of my volume on Unibet but I will have to spread across multiple sites, mostly smaller ones I would imagine.

I think it's time for a few beers!

Cheers boys, I think I'm gonna play $11-33s across Stars, Party and Grosvenor with €10/25s on Unibet. Will look for some other low variance small sites as well. Going to play the daytime/evening UK mtts, probably starting early afternoon and finishing up around midnight. Will try and play around 40 per day, 12-15 tabling. This will fluctuate based on how easy or difficult I find it I guess. I just can't deal with heads up anymore, it's too much when you run bad every time you move up.

I've got a ton of experience in mtts and SNGs so the transition shouldn't be difficult from an ICM perspective either. I do want to stream but a few of you know about my account status on a few sites so will probably not cover those.

Why do you not play cash game? Maybe you have answered the question before in the blog(?). GL with the MTT grind mate, think it can be a nice move. And there are still lots of less skillful players in the MTT fields but also more grinders then a couple of years ago.
