In that case you answered your own question in second post, Costa Rica didn't score on a penalty. The penalty was missed. That's my thinking, I hope I'm wrong for your sake :) Go for it! IT DOESN'T MATTER IF THE PENALTY WAS SCORED . the bet was :"a penalty and an own goal scored" not a penalty scored and an own goal scored. JUST A PENALTY TO BE IN THE GAME. Everybody would understand that it's needed a penalty to be granted and an owngoal scored.But the thing is that the sportbook can use this in their favour, as the word "scored" could apply for both bets needed. Because , of course , if there is an own goal registred, it's logical that a goal was scored , because otherwise there would not be an owngoal. So , i think they settled the bet as lost because they will say that also the penalty shot should resulted in a goal being scored, due to the fact that the word "scored" does not only apply to the owngoal but also to the penalty.So , if im trying to see it from the sportsbook point, they will say the word "scored" is valid for both, penalty and own goal. Of course it is very misleading and not fair by far, but i hope it will get settled in the customers favour.
