Golden Ball 2020 - Canceled

No Golden Ball this year... They announced its due to the “lack of sufficient fair conditions” nonsense. I mean, wtf. Nobody has a chance from China, USA or Africa, but in Europe most of the (football)countries have more less same conditions.  I understand that there will be no European Championship, no Copa America, and less (absolutely irrelevant) international matches, but it actually happens every second year. The four best leagues are still playing until the end (the french title decided on the pitch long time ago anyway), the EL and CL are about to continue. Top players have almost (different CL endgame) the same number of relevant matches this year than any other year. 

Having different circumstances is not bad actually when you wanna compare the best players, its tough to be out there, and be on world class level phisically and mentally 2-3 times a week. 

For example the 6 time winner Messi couldnt adopt to this weird conditions, he and his Barcelona simply fell apart after the break. Strange that they mathematically loose the championship, and next week they announce this bulls hit. Lewandowski had his best season, had a huge chance, but come on, marketing wise the worst thing what can happen, that you give the trophy to a quiet polish guy from the Bundesliga.
