Biggest sports winning

Hello guys :)

Could be that someone already has posted something like this, but maybe something has changed. Post Your biggest sport wins, if You can post what games You put and odds!

Just read an online thread about one betting site in Latvia, one guy scored almost 100 000 Euro in these Christmas days. He placed a double bet for 2500 Euro on Lakers winning GSW and Leicester winning M City. I just can't believe that someone would put such money on something so unreal, maybe it is just an avert for the betting site...

My biggest winnings is 7000 Euros, I really don't remember how much and what did I bet, but it was a mix of bets and a mix of sports, and i invested something like 300 Euros that time.

Someone maybe read that post where this guy scored little bit more than 10000 Euros, I was pretty surprised about his bets :) catched really good odds!

My biggest cooler is an insane story as well.

I think I had a 5 euro free bet on a 7(could be 8 or 9)-fold odds of 500+ (It was like 2700 possible payout). All green but one, the one I lost was the lowest odd of em all (about 1.4)

So it's an almost insane win... But not realy

I have had the same problem and sometimes some unnlucky Barcelona (football ofcourse) lose to some underdog steals my well almost earned money :)

One unlucky bet happened some two month ago when I put a very low odd 1.5 over on Real Madrid and Atl.Madrid, they played 0:0 as I remember that time I put 200 Euros!

This is my biggest one although I don't have a clue about NFL and never watched a match until then

There was a weekly promo for american sports that's why I bet mostly on NBA live, sometimes used NHL boosts too, but the NFL multiple promo I missed regularly. I think the American Football is way too boring to watch and this is a big part of the betting fun.

Not my bet, however in early 2000 a buddy from school was placing bets at a local shop via the federally owned bookmaker here. Of course, the odds were horribly but that didn't stop him from setting up a huge combo-bet with 10 or so different matches. So during the first two lessons he set up his bet with all the favorites from the upcoming weekend: Man Utd at home, Real Madrid at home, Bayern on the road, Ajax at home, AC milan on the road, Porto at home, you get the idea...

During the first break, he then went to the shop, placed the bet and came back with the receipt. Some guy looked at it and instead of odds between 10-15, the receipt showed total odds of around 80. :geek: What happened? Due to the large amount of bets, my buddy made a mistake and ticked the wrong box for the game Roma-Reggina. Instead of Roma winning at home, he was now betting on underdog Reggina winning on the road with odds of 8 or 10.

During the second break, he went to the shop again and tried to reverse it, which didn't work, of course. So for the rest of the day we were making fun of him for wasting 5 Euro or so by making such a stupid mistake.

Now fast forward to the weekend, and my buddy went 9/9, hitting on all the favorites with the only game missing being Roma-Reggina. And then this happened:

We're gonna win on so many levels! We're gonna win, win, win. You're gonna get so tired of winning, you're gonna say: "Mr. President please, we don't wanna win anymore, it's too much!" And I'm gonna say: "I'm sorry, we're gonna keep winning because we're gonna make America great again!"

@WuDu Sounds like a Cinderellas story, with such a happy ending, almost cryed at the end If You play sports bets You have to be lucky to win, so indeed He got lucky and he won! Nowadays, almosy every matchday some of the favorites lose and it looks like that day in 2000 it wasn't and exception

How much did he won in the end? 400 Euros? I got it right?

@GothMoth American sports atleast have pretty good odds, almost all the games, because of the teams being equal, not like in domestic European leauges. That only means that You have to be more lucky to win those bets :) hope You have more of those winning bets

Bro, that's almost 20 years ago, I don't know the specifics any more! But like I said, the final odds were huge (more or less in the 80s). However what most of you guys don't realize is that combo bets work to the advantage of the bookmaker. Now imagine playing at the ❤️♥️❤️ty state bookie (odds of the poorest degree), multiplying this disadvantage ten times. The "fair" odds for such a huge bet must have been far in triple digits...

@WuDu

That's true. Multiples are super good for the bookie. But with low bankrolls you could hit huge.

+ for freebets, multiples are the way to go. As you gain much more from higher odds. (A odd of 2 would only return 1)

Edit: I play multiples because I most of the time don't want to spend more than 5 euro on bets (if I bet, which doesn't happen often). Mostly I punt 90% of that on singles or doubles (yeah a double is a multiple, but any bet under 1.9 isn't worth it imo) and then 10% on a big odd, which is doable, but not super easy.

Had a 10 cent to 10 euro once and for the rest sometimes 10 cent to 5 or 1 to 10. I think that's good enough instead of putting 10 cent on a single and having it gone for the same amount of time while getting only 20 cents back.

how about the price?    i dont argue the odds are in the favor of the bookie , but where else can we win a significant amount of money ?

poker is in zombie mod and you need to be a poster boy...casino games are for the walking dead lol ...bingo lottery? thats for papys and mamys lol  theres no other option in the gambling world..

for me it just happen that i like sports,,a lot otherwise i would be done a while a go/// like everybody else

Sure, with the way freebets work here, multiples seem like a nice choice. However even then, you're multiplying the "juice", thus putting you at a disadvantage. Example:

You're betting moneyline on a game between Team A and Team B. Assuming it's a 50-50 game, thus fair odds would be 2,00-2,00. Let's also assume the bookie keeps 5 % juice, than the odds would be 1,90-1,90. So if you bet on Team A twice, risking 10 Euros each time, you'd win one time and lose one time: Total buy-in: 20 Euro. Total return: 19 Euro. If you bet on Team A 4 times, you'd risk 40 Euro and getting back 38 Euro.

A combo-bet would give you odds of 1,9*1,9= 3,61. The chance to hit a bet like this, still assuming the 50-50 game, is 25 %. You win 1 times out of 4. So if you bet 10 Euro each, you risk 40 Euro in total (4*10) and get back 36,10 Euro.

In this scenario, you'd receive back 95 % of what you bet for singles but only 90,25% for the double. :wow:

The bigger the juice and the more bets you put in your multiple, the bigger the advantage for the bookie. How much do state bookies keep for themselves? 20-25 %? Now mulitply this over ten bets and you'll see what I meant...

@WuDuDon't forget the amount of juice the bookie takes is larger for bets straying away from the 50-50 chances.

You should compare your combi bet of 2x 1.9 with a bet of 25% chance of winning and you'll see that the expected value shifts towards the one of the multiple aswell.

In my opinion:

* with real money: stick to single picks all day (of odds 1.6-2.5, where you see value)

* with free bets: stick to higher odds of about 2.5-4 (either single value picks or a "safe combi") for the most profit in the long term, or just have fun and make a larger combi ;)

Glhf :peace:

And the answer the OP: Biggest win probably just about 80€ with a free bet of 10€ and odds 8 (boosted combi ticket with real odds of 5 or something). Had a few very near misses of odds 11-15 though. Sticking to lower value picks usually ;)

@TDW

It all depends on the juice and the number of bets in your combo. 5 % juice:

1 bet: 0,95

2 bets: 0,95*0,95= 0,9025

3 bets: 0,95*0,95*0,95=0,857 and so on...

7,5% juice:

1 bet: 0,925

2 bets: 0,856

3 bets: 0,791.

The higher the juice and the more bets in your combo, the less value for you. The bookie doesn't even have to juice you differently.

--------------

Having said that, my biggest bet was this one:

https://www.unibetcommunity.com/t5/Betting-and-Sports/US-elections/td-p/25142

A little more than 400 Euro on the God Emperor, with a little less than 1.400 Euro in return for a cool profit of a little less than 1 K in one night.

Well i had some huge winnings and unbelived loses....

4 years ago my local basketball club played cup game against club from first league (We were amater club 3th division that time) soo players fixed game resultat half time full time 1/2 on that game i won about 10 000e... On normal ticket i won around 6000 e..

About ticket that i lost there is some funny or tragic moments... Few months ago waiting last pair MHL hockey  over 4,5 goals and in first period in first 10 minutes 3:1 and stayed like that till end  12000 e was winning... Few years ago for 4-5 000 e nba player i played over and on half time he scores 20-21 i dont know now but he needed 1 point for over and nothing, tomorow in newspaper i read that he wife has a baby at that time soo he left game in half time and go to hospital... One time i was waiting Liverpool first half to win against Newcastle in 44.min penalty to Liverpool they missed but the goalkeeper run from goal line to early so they have a second chance and ofkors they miss that too...

My biggest winning is 2000 euro. After which the maximum rate 0.00 euro !

Three different bookmakers after good money withdrawals made a maximum bet of 0.00euro.

So i'm sure after winning 100.000 euros this player is no longer a player of this bookmaker. Smile

I have a friend.More than 15 bookmakers made him the maximum bet 0.00 euro.He became a millionaire on sport!

Playing gambling more than 90 percent players all lose money all the time.

On my own experience and my friends you can earn only on sports. Smile

In the New Year i want to wish everyone do not play for luck

Smile

West Ham have some problem with injuries and Pellegrini sign Samir Nasri who will make debut tonight and he will play in front with Arnautović and Anderson... 2 loses in 3 games now they play at home against Brighton who won 4 points in last 2 games ( 1:1 against Arsenal and they won Everton 1:0) they have no problems with injuries but 2 players are out on international duty.. I think Westh Ham is better team and on this odd its worth playing on them...

After 2 league lost in row Benfica now have 5 wins in row and in last 10 games they have 8W 1 D  1.. Portimonense played some good games but they have weak defence and Benfica will now how to use it...

Manhaim is first team in league and i dont think that Wolfsburg can do anyting tonight...

Last pair i dont know anyting about tennis but my friend suggested it to me...

Good luck!
