Unfortunately they closed the old surface with the popping up mode yesterday and it is so annoying watching the game and knowing who will win the point. Verdasco skipped her home town tourney to be able to win a tourney. He is the reign champion (the ATP Budapest is the successor of the ATP Bukarest) and he defeated the most highly ranked hometown guy in the previous round he is very good on clay. His opponent (I'm in trouble with his name- if you read the In search of the Castaway you know why) is a very talented youngster who made a big surprize in the previous round but there are too many downturns in his play aganst (former) top 10 players yet.To the other matches: Kuznetsov won against the 3rd seeded Fognini in the previous round and with that focusing game I can't believe that he will lose against Lorenzi. The italian played average in the previous round (really average in the first set-poorly in the second - good in the third) but he showed that performance against lucky loser Stakhovsky who played the qualification rounds too and clay is his worst surface and all experts said that he have no chance against the clay-master italian.I think home supported Buyukakcay will lost against Mertens. I didn't see any of the two previous matches before and I know that a big surprise come mostly through in that type of tourneys but I think the turkish player can't show that awesome performace three times in a row (she beat Znaevska and 2nd seeded Babos in two straight sets) and the clay-queen Errani beater Mertens will stop her.To the last match: I have nothing but weather forecast. AndreiBN Posted April 28, 2017 Author Share Posted April 28, 2017 @psrquack You don't have to be sorry for that.Actually,it's more entertaining to have these kind of debates and to see different perspectives over some tennis matches.Kuznetsov didn't impressed me at all in this torunament,and from my POV,he just got extremly lucky to be this far.Even yesterday,against Fognini,in the 3rd set it was pure luck that the italian didn't focused to much on his serve when he had the lead and needed his serving game to close the match.And after that,he got just frustrated (like italians are very impulsive) and lost control over his game.Mertens is in great shape at the moment,her tennis looks so much improved ,but there is still something that made me chose Cagla.And this bet is made from my gut feeling,exactely like i did yesterday and it was a winning bet with odds over 4.00.If Pouille manages to take first set,he will probably win this match,even tho the game will need 3 sets.He is a very strong mentally player and in the last months he's slowly getting back to his great shape.We'll see how it all goes :D 7 "When things are bad, it's the best time to reinvent yourself" Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
