Against The Crowd.

Favourites suck. Why put your hard earned money on the same pick as everyone else, only to see it miss the break at the start, get boxed in behind a wall of horses when about to challenge, or come flying down the outside in the last 2 furlongs only to be beaten by a nose? Even with a win or two the bankroll never seems to increase by much, so if I'm going to lose my money I might as well lose it on a 20/1 shot as an even money favourite. To this end I'm going back to my horse racing roots, swearing off the favourites (yet again) and backing only those with an outsiders chance. Happy days are here again, no studying for hours (or indeed minutes),  make a choice and lets go. A £100 bankroll will be invested (thrown away) with no regard to market trends, inside whispers of a good thing in the last, or any horse picked by the main newspaper tipsters. It may not be a wise thing to do, but hopefully it will provide a bit more excitement. I stand or fall on my own picks.

Let's go. 😃

@Want2Believe I've never been really good predicting scores, I always seem to be 1 or 2 goals wrong but I'm thinking of having a go at the start of next season, I probably couldn't do much worse. 🤣

WEEKLY UPDATE

Nothing great, only 2 winners, a few near misses, but only a small loss on the week. I was going to up the stakes at £20 profit but glad I didn't and am currently on a losing run of 12. For the time being it's in a holding pattern, but a small increase into a progression may be necessary, I'll see how it goes.
