  1. Today's prize for the Anniversary Missions. Don't forget this is a flip run at midnight UK time tonight. Use it or lose it. 🍀
  2. DAY 6 Fifty five minutes, 3 tabling, 234 hands, 5.33 loss (mostly all in with AA 2 mins before the KK 🥴) HorsinAround Fun Factor: 3/10 because I lost €€€ 😕
  3. I'll be using these pretty much exclusively, by far and away the best. 😀
  4. To be honest I'd make it a private tourney somehow. I've played the centroll for 43 minutes, terrific added value from 112 entries and 28 rebuys, €1.40 entry fees paying out €123 in prize money. 👍 Monetary value HUGE, added value to the community as a whole, I'm not seeing it.
  5. Ten minutes to go, 76 entries and a massive 9 likes or thanks for setting it up.
  6. DAY 5 An hour and 11 minutes, 3 tabling, 302 hands, €12.96 to the good. 🥳 MyrtleTurtle Fun Factor: 9/10. Only so high because of the winnings, there were 155 players at one stage and most seemed willing to get involved and donate. 😀
  7. I asked for ideas how to encourage more participation, not confirmation of how tight fisted and scrooge like the community is, 🤬 we already knew that the freerollers are in the-huge-majority. 🥴
  8. I did mean the friends. Surely no guarantee is needed, set the tourney up and the prize pool is whatever it is, the more the merrier but if there are only 6 entrants the so be it. I totally agree. To continue with the community League figures, 168 entrants in total, less than half -80- with a community name eligible for leaderboard prizes, 🤔 about half-40- with recognisable names and about half again-20-regular or part time contributors. The cent rolls are fantastic in principle (who doesn't like a "cheap" tourney?) but simply don't make any difference to the standard of blogs or threads or discussions, and most times in the past there weren't even any chat rooms open for a bit of banter, goading, bragging, whining or whatever, simply giving away money to many who will never contribute. So how do we encourage more participation? Ideas welcome.
  9. Didn't we try that when Covid hit, I seem to remember there were two of us that actually tried to start a game when they became popular but there was very little take up. I've said it a few times but I really think 95% of this community and discord are only here for whatever they can get out of it rather than what they can put in. The numbers playing the community league (168) far outstrip the number contributing, posts, discussions, general chat, a quick glance down the names leads to a lot of "who he?" which really does sadden me, and I'm guessing the centroll will probably attract many players that you've never even heard of, even if they used their community name rather than a random alias. I don't know what the answer is really, restricting entries to contributors say for that week would probably only lead to masses of short spams, but I'm willing to try whatever to keep this community alive. Even the current Anniversary Missions and Let's talk 10-year Anniversary seem way too quiet for such a big event. Put me down for a slot if you can get any more takers, I'll stream it and see if we can get a bit more enthusiasm going. As I write Stubbe's opening post has 7 likes or thanks( all regulars or at least part timers) this thread has 2 replies (both regulars 😬)including mine, and the Weekly Community Centroll has 23 entries. Says a lot really. 😕
  10. DAY 4 Thirty four minutes, 185 hands, 30 flops, €0.88 profit. 🥴 Gold"Fish"Finger Fun Factor: 5/10
  11. Don't forget today's winning ticket is for a flip running tonight at midnight (UK time.) Recommendation: register as soon as you get the 🎟️. 👍
  12. DAY 3 Three tournaments, 2h 37mins, 208 hands, a profit of €6.34, all of it from the first one. 😬 Freddy "The Face" Fish. (Can't get any picture recognition software to find what type of fish it is!) Fun Factor 6/10.😀
  13. At least Patty looks a little happier than Sammy, even if she did lose a few €. 🥴
  14. DAY 2 Seventeen minutes, 56 hands, €3 lost 😱 mission accomplished. Patty The Porpoise. Fun Factor: 3/10 😒
  15. So I decided to get off to a flyer, sat at my computer keen and eager to get cracking on the first mission. A notification pops up bang on midnight. A slight technical hitch followed, no missions to be found, but the problem was soon solved by the old favourite of logging out and back in again. I bought a €20 cash ticket from the bonus shop, I'm sure I'll be using it again before long and those points were kept back for this purpose. Three tables, 29 minutes, 132 hands, 30 flops seen, 69 cents won, mission accomplished and the first fruits bagged. Good Luck all. Nightcap time. 🥃
  16. Thanks @HardGain The tracking of sessions and using a ticket is basically to keep me honest. It's too easy to "forget" to record a bad session but when the ticket's done the figures have to tally. I don't know if you spotted but the first few sessions were all 1 tabling, fine when things are going well but sheer boredom ( being dealt hand after hand of "unplayable" trash) leads to some loose play, an ill judged bluff, a loss, a determination to recover losses, and the downward spiral begins. I've noticed this in the past and as here, the next few sessions playing 3-4 tables keeps me involved and not tempted to get too loose out of frustration. If I get involved in hands at two tables I can easily sit out at the other two and not get distracted. I wanted to finish the ticket today, (not got any prize drops) to concentrate on the missions, a few hundred hands or an hour or two a day is plenty for me. And following what you said in discord, the tracking and pretty pictures is some sort of reward and can help motivation. 🥃
  17. Latest update I might not have escaped yet but I feel I'm picking up velocity and may yet make a break for it! 🙂
  18. Having not bet on the horses for some time I took it up again fairly recently and met with some slight success. My betting record as far back as the system will allow. Not overly impressive, probably about a normal win/loss rate. Since I started betting again very recently, Again not particularly impressive. However... I don't think Unibet are running scared that I'm going to cripple them financially, I rather suspect as seems common these days that my account is just too small to be bothered with. To be fair I could continue but it became apparent quite some time ago that Unibet were becoming very tight with their prices. They stopped appearing on the price comparison pages of the Racing Post, mainly I'm guessing because, even to me, a small stakes fun punter, you could very rarely if ever get the best price on a horse at Unibet. I stuck with them, maybe out of a sense of loyalty, but will do so no longer, there are better and juicier offers elsewhere until I once again am deemed too small and insignificant to be bothered with or, far less likely, am winning too much money. Au Revoir Unibet (at least on the punting front) A sad small stakes punter. 😥
  19. I just couldn't tell by your accent! 😕
  20. Just to update the above I played for an hour, got dealt 103 hands, actually only saw 8 flops ( I was being dealt an enormous amount of trash, 🥴) went to showdown twice, 😱 and made money. I'm not sure it was much of a party though. 🥱
  21. I can understand the reasoning behind what you're saying but just because someone gets a good deal somewhere else and has partied all year, it still feels, imo, a bit mean to exclude them from the biggest party yet. The only other point I'd make is that the €10 levels, during promos like this, feel as though they're full of nits ( the €4 recs) basically waiting around for a prize drop. Currently 59 at €4 and 111 at €10. I'm sure the €10 regs can handle the newcomers but enticing some of them to put money in the pot can feel like trying to get blood out of a stone. Is it even worth it for them I ask myself. An hour sat there, maybe 120 hands, 20 circuits of the table, 30BB or €3 for a prize drop, if it even lands, of €2. Maybe they're so determined to join the party and get something for nothing they don't see it's probably not worth it. 🤔
  22. To be fair I agree that for such a significant birthday/anniversary I would have thought including everybody would be the way to go, but... Exactly how are they freeloading? Don't they pay rake like the rest, or lose money and let some players climb stakes? Should we get rid of the lowest level at €4 to get rid of the "freeloaders?" Doesn't that mean the new lowest level of €10 becomes the "freeloader" level which then has to go, and so on and so on. You might not respect how they play, but really? A bit strong I think. Disclaimer: My majority of play is at €4 but for promos like these I do play higher.
  23. Far more info required, what statement, where, which races, etc, etc, etc. You're probably better off contacting CS through live chat.
  24. The English equivalent "Don't look a gift horse in the mouth."
