Now is Jimmy G worth 4.5 points? I think not! Trey Lance will be under center and is molded like Kyle Murray, an option style QB, who I think actually takes the pressure off the Offensive line who maybe missing their starting left tackle, and adds a different dynamic to the offense. Speaking of offensive lines, I have great respect for the Arizona line- but are they ever banged up 2 are listed as questionable for Sunday. San Fran boasts a cover 2 secondary that is terrific in zone coverage- which is bad news for Kyle Murray who struggles against this coverage. I can certainly see some picks for San Fran in this one. This head to head series are usually pretty close, and San Fran is in a must win situation 4.5 points is too many here considering the 49'ers are a live dog. Play on San Francisco +4.5

No doubt the oddsmakers have put some juice in this line considering the primetime Cinncinatti win at Notre Dame this past Saturday. When we look *IN FOCUS* they are favored against a Panther defense ranked #1 against the run #1 against the pass #1 and number # 1 overall. Is the Dallas offense that dynamic ? Not Really the same Dak rollout. The same sweeps but big numbers against 2 brutal leaky secondaries in Tampa Bay and Philadelphia On the topic of porous D the Cowboys are close to the worst in pass defense, and have both safety's banged up and questionable for this match. The absence of McCaffery will certainly be felt by the Carolina offense- but I truly do not see the need for much of a running game required in this one. It is the start of conference play- and see's the return of projected starting QB D'Wan Mathis for Temple who was out since a game 1 injury at Rutgers, but returned last week in a nice tune-up win against Wagner.. This is significant, because right now the stats have the Owls ranked at 84 and a measly 214/game, but with this not a reflection of original starter Mathis who looked very good in the Wagner tune-up. On the flipside the Memphis tigers pass defense has been a sieve ranking 129th and allowing a whopping 350 yards average/gm ouch ! Who owns the number 1 ranking in pass defense none other than the Temple Owls, so I like the fact this stymies the Memphis strength. This is a conference game these teams know each other very well. I don't think so and am on Chicago -1 BIG TIME. Second Seattle is up to -6...I know they beat Indy and are returning home. But look at the box score in that Indy game. They are 2-0 and flying high with a 12th ranked passing game and the Books are rewarding them for this. Meanwhile Western Michigan had to face ranked Michigan to start the season and was humbled- but got back on track by trouncing Illinois state 28-0 . The Broncos showed a balanced attack this year so far which has kept the defense of the field. What is impressive is the talented senior secondary is ranked 16th, and should have a field day with the aggressive Pitt passing game. With the Broncos returning 19 starters this is a mature team travelling to Pittsburgh as double digit dogs and should prove wonders for motivation. Play on Western Michigan +15 and stay focused!

Arizona the media darlings to start last season resulted in them being favored early and often when they really should not have been, and disappointed backers from the get-go. However, now we find them being viewed with much skepticism and scorn, alas our coveted value is realized. Lets turn and focus on the tangibles here. The OL . I really like this group, its young in its prime and a healthy Justin Pouch starting at left guard is just what the doctor ordered. This line will turn heads this season and the main beneficiary of this will be a more focused Kyler Murray. While the run game was solid last year ranking 8th- I expect to see the passing game go from 17th to a top 10! On the defense side of the ball Kudos to Steve Keim the GM for recognizing the holes needed to be filled in on stopping the run by adding outstanding linebackers Zaven Collins and Isaaih Simmons in the 1st rounds of the draft. This unit will be tested against the punishing ground attack of the Titans, I believe thy shut down the Titans and pass this week 1 test forcing a noodle armed Tannehill to throw into the top 10 secondary of the Cardinals.
