I like the 2-day supernova, day 2 often takes more than 4 hours still (which means until 5am if played continuously). Sure, the blind level time is higher as well on day 2 but i like that as well. Keep it up! 🙂

Love the 2-day events, very pleasant to play but their structures need some refining as mentioned before. I'm not a massive fan of the large amount of addon events though but probably they will attract more people which is good. Would love to see more PKO events in the schedule of the series itself (so bigger gtds :) ).

This happens all the time: Gambling regulations are always loosely interpreted when it's about actual gambling (100% -EV for everyone who participates), but when it's about poker (essentially a sport like chess or golf) the rules are always strictly enforced. Also look at advertisement rules for instance. It's illegal to advertise anything related to gambling, but in every train station or bus stop there are posters promoting casinos or even the national lottery. Welcome to Belgium Edit: or just look at 'unibet experts' freeroll series. Regular Belgian poker players cannot get any extra leaderboard value or rakeback, but sports gamblers get access to poker freerolls with extra value.

Yeah I guess in the long term having properly informed players is always better. There is also enough 'learning material' available on the Unibet website for new players about this.

I think I've had this one before, I resized to the window to solve it. It's pretty annoying but at least in case of not being able to fold you can time out without using all your timebank :). Of course if you would somehow not be able to call or raise that would be more worrying

I have one concern regarding showing the estimated duration of tournaments though: won't this kill some of the action in the deeper stacked tournaments by putting off new or recreational players of entering an '8 hour tournament'? Some players won't understand that they will almost certainly not be playing the full game length, that they do not have to play the full game length to earn money and certainly not to have fun, and that the last hours are increasingly rewarding to play once you get there. I don't know how many of the players this would apply too, and there could be benefits as well of knowing you can potentially play for x amount of time in return for the buy-in. What do you guys think about this?

I feel like MTSNG's will compete too much with the regular MTT schedule, since many of the MTTs are small fields anyway (except on nanostakes).

Great improvement showing Unibet is looking out for its players. We need more of these changes across all stakes and tournament types: longer levels, less re-entries and skipping the ridiculous 100+bb levels. They just make no sense, they were literally invented by poker sites (pokerstars playing a major role in this) to extend late reg periods to make more money. If your progressive level tournaments wouldn't have the addons and such late registration, these could become amazing tournaments as well. Ending late reg at about 25-40bb starting stacks should become the norm. Please keep in mind to not only keep adding new tournaments but rather replace/transform tournaments and merge different ones into a single better tournament. I find myself much more excited by being able to play 1 or 2 good mid-stakes freeze-outs than about 4-8 tabling low stakes while splashing rebuys/addons all over the place. I also very much liked your 2-day tournament structures, knowing the day will end at 12 or 1am is comforting to know, even for me as a student with little daily obligations. Keep it up, and keep stealing the good stuff from other networks like Partypoker and make it even better ;) If you want more info on this topic, you can read Rob Yong's open letter (or watch the latest poker life podcast with Yong ) or listen closely to what people like Patrick Leonard have to say about this. As Yong points out: recreational poker players might go gamble on your network with their remaining money (which is much more +EV for the casino), but only if they have some left and if they've had an enjoyable experience.

The government will require everyone wearing hazmat suits, promise they will give them, but do not provide them. Then they will confiscate the full buy-ins because under the new legislation any money you give to gambling cannot be won back. My theory is that the government does not want 'gambling' to be profitable, they might think it works encouraging to problematic behaviour. Which would be a ridiculous standpoint since people obviously gamble all the time even with insanely bad odds. This means you might as well improve the winrate instead of reduce it, so when someone indulges in problematic behaviour for a certain period of time, the financial consequences will be less. It's archaic to think that strict financial limits will reduce problematic behaviour, since people will always find more money one way or the other by lending, stealing, scamming, ... What people cannot lend are friends or family that they lose because of their behaviour. The real solutions are social work and psychological help, the fundamental gap in the Belgian societal system (and many other countries as well).

@Stubbe-Unibet Yeah, perhaps having to pick a new alias every time you log in will make the player pool fully anonymous without having to resort to random names like Player1558623 :atisfied: . It's a bit weird that people are so spooked by someone asking if it's possible to take notes on players, and then at the same time state that it will be useless. That sounds very contradictory to me. But anyway, the main reason I made this post is because I wanted to know if Unibet's position on this stuff is similar to other networks or not, and from your comment I think I can assume so. @Sweeedeeen How can you forbid all software though, can you not watch twitch, youtube or facebook anymore while playing? Can you not have your work opened in the background? That would be impossible to enforce.. And if you want to play in an environment that is safe from this, go play live 😃 . Other networks just have a list of forbidden software (including screen capturing for instance, to recognize cards) and try to find out if certain scripts/software are interacting with the software client. @f1v3h34dMaking some random accusations there? I play a lot of live poker as well so I have no intention of not playing by the rules. Just wanted to know if Unibet's position is similar to other networks because their philosophy differs from the mainstream networks.

@FeelsBadMan Hehe I get what you're saying. I'm not looking to target singular players by collecting/sharing mass data on them, just interested to do some research on population tendencies since that is what any self-respecting grinder should do at some point IMO. As a Belgian I'm currently trying to make a decision whether to keep grinding Unibet without rakeback or move to another network. If I'm officially not allowed to study the player pool in any way that will make my decision a lot easier ;) I'm also talking about MTTs rather than cash games (which I think is a much larger player pool than the cash game or SNG pool).

What does "you obviously know it’s not right if you are having to ask" even mean if you're so convinced it is pointless? It is far from obvious what is allowed and what is not. Study groups and sharing data/information happens a lot on other networks, whether it is against the terms or not. Take for instance a poker course or coaching website, the coaches usually expose data/information they gathered on certain player pools and thus are sharing it with other players for them to benefit from (and even ask a lot of money for it). But if you would share and discuss similar data/information in a study group for instance you are saying it is "not right"? I'm not following what you're saying.. I'm not interested in knowing if and how Unibet will enforce these rules, that is for them to decide and probably best to keep secret. Many other networks are very non-transparent in the way they respond to these type of things. But Unibet has this forum so I might as well ask, right?

Something that has been on my mind for a while now while playing on Unibet: Are you allowed to gather player pool data in a way that doesn't use external software, scripts or whatever? For instance, can you have a spreadsheet with notes of opponents, with or without their aliases if it is not gathered by an automatic program, but just by you playing or going through hand histories? Can you share this information with other players? Or does this fall under 'collusion'? According to Unibet's poker rules "Collusion is a situation where two or more players attempt to earn an unfair advantage by sharing knowledge of their cards or other information at the poker table." Would it, for instance, be possible to have a study group with likeminded people that also play on Unibet (regarding they don't softplay or chipdump or anything else when they are seated together)? Because that would fall under collusion if I'm interpreting the rules correctly? However, studying together (which inevitably involves sharing gathered player information in some way) seems to me to not be an 'unfair' advantage but rather a 'fair' advantage. Also, hands with screenshots and visible aliases are shared on this forum regularly, entire tournaments are streamed on twitch and you can open up any table while a tournament is playing to 'rail' your friends or see what is happening on a bubble for instance. I'm not looking to exploit the rules or anything shady like that. This is just a genuine question from someone who is interested in getting better at the game but also willing to play by the local rules (even though some others probably don't). I'm really interested in finding out what Unibet representatives have to say about this. Unibet is such a unique playing environment so I wonder what would be permitted and what not, and how it compares to other networks.

Will this topic die silently? There has to be something we can do.. This new regulation is protecting companies' profit margins rather than players. I don't know how much the Belgian/Danish/Swedish Unibet market accounts for, but it would be polite for Unibet to come forward on this issue and either state that they are actually making more money on these players rather than other country's players. Rakeback is at least 10% on Unibet, that is potentially a huge profit in this kind of market I think? Or even better, to acknowledge that they too are fighting back against this ridiculous regulation (with transparent communication, data, research into player bases shifting to illegal networks, ...) and that we, the players, are not on our own in this david vs goliath fight.

How are Belgians excluded from these added prizes, while Belgians can still partake in the 'Unibet Experts BE' freerolls and tournies with added prizes/bounties? This doesn't make sense at all!

I got a refund for €1500 Moonwalk, since my timeout in hand #1201938358 people were able to steal blinds from others at irregular intervals (probably disconnecting and reconnecting). Did I get a payout according to when the crash happened or not? And how can I check/recalculate this myself? Additionally, I was playing 2x €4 5-seat SNGs. 279699249 and 279698633. I would appreciate to be paid out as well according to your terms. Thank you.

I got my money back in less than 12hrs last time, according to Unibet's reimbursement conditions (from mtts though).

I guess i'll just call it a day and wait to get my money back again... Not wasting any more time by trying to reconnect to a faulty server

There is plenty of money to be made in PKO's. Edges are much bigger than in regular freezeouts because people don't know how to play them and make more mistakes in their regular game as well, average stacks become larger due to the faster KO's and more aggressive play in general, ITM is reached faster so you can gain ICM-related edges faster, ... That said, the 90% bounty prizepools are a bit too much of the good stuff I think, you would need a lot of information on your opponents to keep your edges here (which is harder on Unibet). I mostly like the 70/30 and 50/50 regular/bounty prizepool with progressive bounties.

@Stubbe-Unibet Thank you Unibet for paying me back a fair amount! I didn't know about your refund policies before but they seem justified. The fact that we didn't have to appeal for this payback is a major + for me! 👍
