@BrockyI couldn't agree more with your comments. Variance and running bad are all part of the game. I think what a lot of players seem to forget is that you actually want to be called by players with hands that are statistically under dogs, it's how good players make money. IE exploiting weak players who shove with any old junk. It's also amazing how those same players who bemoan their bad luck never complain when they hit a suckout or as is often the case win against those weaker hands. My particular pet peeve is players who moan about having AA cracked when they have shoved all in pre flop and got called by some junk that sucks out. At the end of the day AA is ONLY a pair and if I'm right I believe that statistically JTs is actually a slight favourite because of the straight and flush possibilities so if you hold JT suited the correct play is to call any all in. I'd also like to add that if the poker site is conspiring against a player it must be industry wide collusion because so far this month I've been experiencing bad beats across all sites I play on lol Do I get mad, in the moment yes and I have been know to smash the odd keyboard back in the day when I used to play for decent money lol The thing is I know that as long as I've played the hand correctly there is always a chance I am going to lose (unless I flop the nuts) so I tend to take it in my stride. If I've played badly then that is more of a concern as it shows a weakness in my game that I need to fix. More annoying to me is when I'm replying to a post and playing at the same time and look up to see that I've just auto folded AK suited on the button with everyone folding before me 🤣:waterfall:

Surely if a criminal of any kind really was a "genius" we would never know because they would never have been caught. Maybe the only criminal in history that could be described as a genius, all be it twisted and deranged, would have to be Jack the Ripper as he was never caught or identified.

Tried it, don't like it. I'm basically of the opinion that this is a game for those who are more used to playing slot machines. As has been said way to much variance for a grinder. If you want to play poker this is definitely NOT the game to be playing. If on the other hand you don't feel like you have a very high skill level at the game then this is ideal as the fast blind structure and 3 handed format really do take off any edge a half decent player may have over you. Of course there will be those of you out there who say there is a way to beat the game and fair enough. I just look at it as more of a casino gimmick game masquerading as a poker game, but then I'm an old school Luddite purist lol

Watched Solo A Star Wars Movie last night and have to say I really enjoyed it. In case anyone hasn't seen it I won't give any spoilers. What I'm really waiting for though is for the final season of Game of Thrones to start. I've got money on John Snow becoming the King of the seven Kingdoms so really hoping that a) The white walkers get their asses handed to them. b) Cersi Lannister gets her comeuppance (even if I do think she's hot lol) Another series I really enjoyed was Westworld. Only trouble is I have no idea how season 2 ended. I recorded it on sky but forgot to click the Keep button so it auto deleted. I did catch the first half of the final episode. Might try to find it on you tube lol.

In any other year I'd say it was laughable but, given the recent events in the political world (Trump; Brexit; Macron; UK General Election) I reckon the old adage of no such thing as a sure thing has never been more true lol. Probably the only guarantee this transfer window is that yet again Premier League clubs will pay over the odds for second rate players.

I'm actually finding this mini debate quite interesting on a number of levels but I don't think this is the correct thread so I've created one in the Social off topic forum. None of us want to fall foul of the site's guidelines so before we all get slapped wrists for hijacking the this thread perhaps we should head over to a more appropriate part of the forum. :-)

I was trying to highlight the fact that anyone of any gender or skin colour can be the victim of either racism, sexism or bigotry. The woman behind the counter was white so no racism on my part at all but I am amazed at how easily I have been labelled a racist when I gave no indication of either the woman's ethnicity or my own. As for costing her her job I doubt it and perhaps next time she'll be more careful and paid attention and not just assumed the woman in the queue was my daughter's mother. An over reaction on my part, maybe but my daughter's biological mother ended our relationship after 22 years and myself and my daughter where at one stage 24 hours away from being made homeless. So yo can understand why I was a bit touchy when ignored and heard a complete stranger referred to as my girl's mom. I still hold by what I said in that racism sexism and bigotry can be committed against anyone by anyone. Whites can be subjected to racism. Racism is discrimination and prejudice towards people based on their race or ethnicity. Bigotry stubborn and complete intolerance of any creed, belief, or opinion that differs from one's own. Sexism or gender discrimination is prejudice or discrimination based on a person'sses or gender. Sexism can affect any gender.

Sorry, had to but in here because I'm literally seething. So from the discussion if you're a white male you can't possibly be a "victim" of racism, sexism or bigotry of any kind? That must explain why, as a single parent to a beautiful daughter this happened to me in the chemist's (drugstore) the other day. My daughter had been suffering from a rather bad cough and I'd asked the woman behind the counter what would be the best cough medicine for my daughter (who was with me at the time). Without even a second glance at me the woman behind the counter started telling a random woman behind me that the best cough mixture would be brand x. I politely thanked her for telling a complete stranger about my daughter's bad cough and told her that after I'd reported her to her manager I'd be taking my custom elsewhere. So think on folks. THere's no such thing as positive discrimination .......... discrimination is discrimination pure and simple
