i am afraid that not the client is the problem , it might be your windows the problem in this case.

Try to update your adobe air , flash , java and see if this happenes again. Do you have also some windows errors when you start your computer?

I am watching the 2+2 forum and you are the first with this kind of problem and thats why i am thinking that the client not might be the problem

Its been happening for a while, I have posted on 2+2 with screenshot.

Only happening once a day for me since last update which is a lot better than before.

Definetly a few more people with this problem, most of us just wait till 5 to the hour and do a restart.

Had the same problem on my gaming laptop, Win 10 x64 bit and the Poker client is x32...had to right click the exe file and set it to use my Nvidia GTX card as default... a little overkill for that Poker client lol..

FYI: The sensur kicking inn when I tried to write R_O_G in one word, thats strange..just the spesification on my laptop :p

  • 2 weeks later...

Loads of black screens and disconnections tonight just from simply looking at Firefox and going back to the client. Client main page is always black. Updated all of the above as suggested last week.

Below, switch to firefox, switch back to client, i'm disconnected again. Either have to wait a ridiculously long time to reconnect by which time I've been sat out, or close down client and reboot.

Cross-posting from 2+2:

We haven't had any network connection problems in the past month. So this is almost certainly CPU lag. Your computer is displaying a black screen because it can't load the graphics in time. It disconnects because it can't find the time to maintain the connection.

If this is a recent thing, your computer is probably powerful enough if you have fewer programs running. It probably also helps to format and reinstall windows, but that's pretty drastic.

We have a long term solution to the high CPU requirements of the client, but this is a LOT of work so is still a few months away I'm afraid.

I bought my computer about 2 years ago and even now it is very powerful and runs very well. On a sunday night I'll have a big poker session where I run 4-6 tables with 888, Pokerstars, Party all open. I also have Firefox open with a couple of pages open AND have Itunes open to play music. This all runs very smoothly with no problems, load up Unibet and all this nonsense happens. You can even see from my screenshots that I have minimal programs running (not much in the background either). This is CLEARLY a problem with the client and the amount of CPU usage it demands or something similar. I can also see other players having constant problems with the software across various forums. I will not be reformatting a perfectly fine and running windows/computer because of this.

I can just go elsewhere and not have to deal with all this rubbish. I'm basically being told to put up with it until you come up with a solution and I won't do that.

It's a shame because Unibet are doing so many things right but this is just so wrong. I hope you meet that long term solution one day.

Our client needs a stronger PC than other clients. It’s partly due to Adobe Air being very resource intensive which is something we cannot change. As mentioned before there is a long term solution for this.

Increasing the priority of Unibet poker in task manager may help.

Also, while I'm a longterm Firefox fan the last few updates have been annoyingly buggy.
I have switched to Chrome for anything intensive and get far less prob lems.
Maybe just while playing you could have your Twitch etc on Chrome instead?

Looking at the screenshot with task manager. I would say the problem is either a network issue either at your end or somewhere between you and the servers.

The disconnection from cpu lag causes that same error but you clearly dont have your machine maxed out, so it has to be the speed of the data transfer and the above are the 2 things I can think off that would cause that.

I have severe problems running the Unibet Poker client myself and DO not come and say it need more "power"....

Also dont tell me my PC need a cleanup or alike... I aint a n00b here, been online since 28.6 k modems and helped build up one special place on the web about IT securety and other Hard\Software...soo lets see...

I am sure the problem with the Unibet Poker client is about compability issue, even I tryed to set it in diffrent modes.

It is a x34 bit client and do not like x64 bit systems.

My temporary fix for windows PC (win 8, 10)

Go here: c:\Program Files (x86)\Unibet Poker

Right click UnibetPoker.exe and select properties, then mark : run as admin + compatility mode win 8. click OK.

Also if you can and this is anoying, right clik again same file and run with CPU (grafic prosessor).

Then it run smoth but it is a overkill on my ASUS ROG51

To give 8 GB ram and a Geforce GTX GPU with 2 GB VDR Ram + a Intel i 7 CPU only for running a poker client...well someone need to rewrite the whole proggie.

And please dont tell me that is not enofgh "power" dedicated only for this...just saying...

Nothing is impossible, the impossible only take some time.

JillianP, sadly I'm still having problems without running anything else. I've posted about this in the 2+2 forum as well along with a screenshot of yet another disconnection. In this shot you can see my task manager open with a low CPU usage and nothing else besides the poker client open.

I really don't see how this can be a problem my end. The example of the multiple programs I can run without a single glitch strongly supports this. My connection, speed, computer, ping and anything else you can name are all spot on. I know this for a fact because everything except the Unibet client runs like a dream.

Ive really had enough with software and the attempts to deflect the problems on my end. I'll be using up my remaining tickets and deleting the client.

Jonny thanks for all the tips and advice you've gave me in the past, much appreciated. If Unibet ever get their act together and reach this 'long term solution' give me a shout on the ace high poker group.

I have a Nvidia optimus equipped laptop, and when i selected Unibet client to use Nvidia adapter not the internal Intel adapter my problems has magically gone. No client freeces, no disconnections, no problems at all. And client runs much faster now.

Before change when i wasn't doing anything with my computer and client was running in background it just freeces but not anymore. I think there is some issues with Intel graphic drivers in Windows 10 especially with power managment.
