Promotional emails not to go to people who have already used the offer being promoted.

So on Thursday a week ago I spotted the offer for the A. Madrid-Barcelona game on your website, opted in and put a bet on (which was valid as I was later credited with the free bets for the 2 goals).

On Friday, I get an email advertising the offer and then on Sunday you even send a text message advertising it again.

I'm not particularly bothered myself, but

1) you presumably have some costs for the text message

2) it also might cause a higher percentage of people to opt out of receiving communications if you send things unnecessarily.

3) user experience - a percentage of users will start to worry about whether the offer has been applied to their bet correctly which is a bad user feeling (though I do think the majority like me will see it as a mass email).

I don't get these messages myself... But I definitely can understand what you are saying :)

I see now that the circumstances of ones birth are irrelevant... It is what you do with the gift of life that determines who you are.
