MoreTBC
I know there is a report about this somewhere but I can't find it :(If you have the option to check and you choose fold (nearly always by accident) you get a popup asking if you are sure you want fold. If you choose no it automatically checks for you and doesn't allow you the option to bet. Have you read my blog HERE... It's long isn't it :)
FeelsBadMan
Yeah this is annoying. Selecting no should just cancel the pop-up window and let you make whatever decision you want.
Chris-Unibet
We're discussing the option to simply remove the fold button when it's free to check. That's been implemented on another site as well. Of course, some players fold on purpose, often when they don't want to show their cards on the river if they think they're behind anyway but overall, we think it would help complete beginners to avoid folding for no reason. MoreTBC
@Chris-Unibet, not sure if your reply is a side note to the original issue or you've just interpreted it :) I wasn't debating for/against being able to open fold I was highlighting that if you click fold and then decide you don't want to when asked to confirm you are auto-checked and do not have the option to bet/raise. I agree removing the option to open fold would remove this bug but there was an awful lot of angry PS playing 2+2ers when they did it :) (although 2+2 users tend to be angry about everything). I'd be +1 removing it personally. Have you read my blog HERE... It's long isn't it :)
Chris-Unibet
@MoreTBC, yes, I was mentioning it because it would indeed fix the problem you've reported and it's now very likely we'll implement it. We've discussed the downsides but overall, we believe there are more upsides. The mains reasons why players would fold on purpose are because they don't want to show their cards at showdown or they don't want to be bothered with upcoming decisions on turn and river when they know they want to fold (although it's still quick to click "fold to any bet" instead of folding). On the other end, that would help weak players and beginners who don't always understand that the fact that they don't like their hand isn't a good enough reason to fold it. It is only if they're asked to pay to continue. I'm curious to see if players are still discussing it on PS threads. Overall, I doubt it makes the experience worst for anyone. MoreTBC
I've not seen anyone mention it in the PS software improvement thread on 2+2 for a while. Everyone is complaining about the Sunday lag that ruined the TCOOP mini-main just now :). Having a look back I don't think there has been anything since the end of the year.I think it would only be a tiny minority that would have an issue here and it seems to have far many more positives than negatives. Chris-Unibet
V 2.3.2 removes the fold button when it's free to check which indirectly fixes that issue.
MoreTBC
The space bar sized check button took a little getting used to :) Have you read my blog HERE... It's long isn't it :)
