VikingsAF
Hey guys,I was thinking about some improvement concerning the "responsible gambling" while playing poker.I don't know if it's a viable option (because Unibet stays a company which needs to make profit, and I don't blame em for that :p ), but I would think a limit on amount of flops you can see a day would be some nice feature.Small introduction about why I would love to see thisI speak out of own experience, but sometimes I'm like. "Okay, I play untill 50 flops, and then I go", but then on the 49th flop I lose some pot (mainly not too big, but at that moment it looks big, because most of the time I've been running good all the hands before), but that affects me and I start feeling some tilt and play a few more hands. But those few more hands are the downward spiral, because I'm not behind the tables with the right attitude anymore. The same goes for situations where I already played my flops of the day, but then a few hours later I'm bored sitting behind my pc and start to play some poker. But at that moment you're not behind the pc with the right attitude to play so. Once again a downward spiral.I want to add, that for myself I play poker just for fun. The money I lose is in no way affecting anything in real life, but it still feels pitty when I play so well the whole time, and then a few "extra" hands can f* me over. The ideaSo the thing that I propose is a bit like the system where you can "ban" yourself from a specific section, but here you can ban yourself, just after some amount of flops per day. If you set your flop limit higher, you can only start playing that amount of flops after, lets say, 48 hours. That way you can't raise it durning a tilt. Lowering the amount is always possible, and if you don't want any limit, then that's completely up to you.Any variations on the system could be with a clock which counts down when you're seated at the table, that way it doesn't affect you when you play 2 of 10 tables. And I don't know how you could limit this for MTT and SNG (maybe that you can put a buy-in limit per day which you can't exceed) Hope this all makes sense :)Kind Regards I see now that the circumstances of ones birth are irrelevant... PokerAndBetting
Improvements for responsible gambling is always good. I thought I got was that it should be limited to Big blinds instead, so that you don't miss out on the "free rounds" but maybe that's part of the addiction really isn't helpful if you have a problem with too much gambling.@VikingsAF do you think the Big blinds version is good or not really helpful against the addiction? I mean that after you seen 50 flops the setting will lock itself at "leave all tables at next BB". VikingsAF
Ahah. Yeah that could be a thing. But I think it should be strict :) otherwise there is no point in limiting the flops, if you could still bet until you are at the big blind :) But any improvement is a good improvement :) @PokerAndBetting I see now that the circumstances of ones birth are irrelevant...
