Some suggestions for improvement

Recommended Posts

  1. Horse Racing is big in the UK, so we should have a sub-forum for horse racing under Sports Talk
  2. Make the Sign-in button bigger. It's hard to notice whether I'm logged in or not
  3. Where is the forum for Unibet Games? To be fair, I don't see the difference between Casino and Games as they both have slot games. So they both should be under a "Casino & Games" forum.
  4. Some forums have only one sub-forum, for example "Competitions and Promotions" , "Betting" and "Bingo". It's quite annoying to have to click 2 times to get to see the topics. I know you may add more sub-forums in the future, but if there's ever only one sub-forum, can you make it so that I only have to click once to get to the topics?
  5. I know this is only a trial period, but if you want to have a vibrant and active community, there should be some kinds of incentives to encourage more people to participate. Otherwise a dead community is not a community.
  6. Should we have a "general chat" forum where we can post anything that is not fit in any other forums?
  7. When reply to a post, make the checkbox "Email me when someone replies" unticked by default. I've received a few dozens of emails everyday because I didn't notice I'd ticked that checkbox.
  8. Can we send private messages to other members? I've tried to contact a few members and all I've got is "Access Denied"
  9. On the community home page, on the right handside there are three panels: "Featured Topics", "Latest Discussions" and "Top Liked Authors". Can we have another panel called "Latest Activities" which shows the lastest activities of community members, for example "User A has replied to topic B", "User X likes topic Y"

That's it for now. I'll post more if I can think of anything.

Thank you for all the suggestions! :) Below some comments.

1. I've added a horse racing board, as it's now been requested a couple of times. I look forward to seeing some posts by you in the board ;)

2. Will discuss this with the designers.

3. Just as you, I don't really think there's a difference - both sections have slot games. In some markets we don't distinguish between the two, and I honestly think that makes the most sense. So, for now there'll just be a casino board.

4. Unfortunately there's no easy fix for this. You can use the green links on the frontpage, if you don't want to do the extra click. As you say, all categories are likely to have multiple boards in the future, and then it'll make more sense.

5. We're running quite a few competitions/promotions: https://www.unibetcommunity.com/t5/Community-Promotions/bd-p/communitycampaigns. I'm all ears, if you've got a great idea for a competition :)

6. A "Social - Off topic" board has been added.

7. The default setting has been changed.

8. Yes, but only if the member has activated PM. Read more here: https://www.unibetcommunity.com/t5/Welcome-how-to-s/Private-Message-how-to-enable-and-access/m-p/364#M13

9. I'll look into this.

On #9 how about a panel for Your Followed Threads/Topics/People/whatever?
With controls from your profile to allow you to see the things you are most interested in when you login.

How about this promotion: create a thread where people post screenshots of their sports/casinos/bingo winnings. And the person who's got the biggest win will get some free bets.

I like the idea, but I don't think there's an easy way to achieve this, so it'll take some time. You can see all your subscriptions on this page: https://www.unibetcommunity.com/t5/user/myprofilepage/tab/user-subscriptions%3Aemail-subscriptions :)

We're certainy going to do promotions like this in the near future. Just keep an eye on the promotions board ;)

Another minor thing I notice is that I don't know if I have any notifications until I click my profile avatar. Should it be better to have a little icon next to my profile avatar to tell me how many new notifications or messages I have?

Are you still having this issue? From which page did you access the community signin page?

I'll check with the designers and see what can be done.

In fact I'm still having this issue. When I first click on the sign in button, it takes me to the Unibet site. I click the browser's "Back" button and click Sign in again. Now it works, but the first time it doesn't work.

I've tried everything, and I'm simply not able to replicate this. I know this sounds a bit laborious, but it'd be a great help, if you could explain the full "journey" with url's and possibly even screenshot's as well. Information about your browser would be a help as well. Sorry to ask for all this information, but when I can't replicate it myself, there's not much I can do, without this information.

Open Browser (Firefox 46.0.1)
Go to https://www.unibetcommunity.com/
Click sign in
Redirect to https:www.unibet.co.uk
Log in
Go back to https://www.unibetcommunity.com/ (I can't find a link on the main page to get to the community)
click sign in
redirect to https://www.unibet.com/community/login?referrer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.unibetcommunity.com%2F
Log in
Close browser

Rinse and repeat :)

I believe it has something to do with private browsing/clearing cookies. I don't have private browsing turned on in Chrome and I get straight to the community login, with Firefox + private browsing I have to do the steps above.

Have you read my blog HERE... It's long isn't it :)

Thanks a lot - this is a great help! :)

I'll speak to the developers, to see what we can do about it.

Still getting the redirect to Unibet Site thing...as another poster says you can go back a page and it works second time round so it's not a huge issue.

I use Firefox and noticed if I pause the Adguard it log in works first time.

I access the site from https://www.unibetcommunity.com/

Cheers

Thanks. I'll see what we can do about this ad blocker redirection issue. Hope to have an update within a few days.

I had the same problem in Firefox, and I'm not using an adblocker. However, I quickly discovered that it is possible to log in directly if you just avoid choosing your language when the flag page pops up. If you do choose your language you get redirected to the main Unibet site for your country, and I suppose that's because the community site isn't set up to allow different languages...?

I get the redirect problem in chrome now as well.

Go to main site and click on community link

click log in

Get taken back to main site

Hit back on browser and log in again

Get correct log in page.

I still have the problem too.

In Chrome, as far as I know with no privacy/adblock setup.

Doesn't matter where I click (signin/like/reply), the first time always goes to the Unibet site, the second to Community login.

Oh, and I agree with Plotinus, having to scroll back up to the top to reply to the thread in general rather than one person is a bit annoying.

Also, I miss a reply to topic at the bottom of each thread page.

- Still trying to find a fix for the redirect. The issue is, that we want to send the user back to the right domain, when he/she isn't trying to login - if e.g. a Swedish customer clicks "Unibet home", he/she should be sent to se.unibet.com and not unibet.com

- Agree. I'll request to get the reply to topic added at the bottom of each thread page.

Okay so I just made a post in the coupon share intended for the promotion, I noticed a couple of things:

1. I think there's an obscenity filter or something that bans the word "h-e-l-e", which is not a swear word to my knowledge. Anyways, I was trying to post a print screen this led to some troubles as the file was automatically named "ta inn h-e-l-e skjermbildet(..)" in norwegian. I was on the tablet and didnt realize the error, so i tried different versions, one of which turned out to be a tiny thumbnail. I logged on to the computer and renamed the printscreen, which I posted in a second post in the topic, which leads me to the next point

2. It would be nice to be able to edit posts and thread starts :)
