Likes on promotion board

 Jeppe changed his OP and re-enabled the "Like"option and said that from now on the likes received in the "Community Promotions" and " Off Topic" boards will not count anymore for any weekly/monthly rewards where the requirement is a certain number of likes received by a member.

"Today we've made a change on the promotions and off-topic board. Going forward, likes received on either of these boards won't count towards weekly rewards or any other promotion that includes X number of likes to participate."

I'm glad they re-enabled 'likes' for promotions board (it's so much quicker to 'like' someones post and acknowledge it that way, rather than to write 'yes, I agree' - especially since in Rewards topics people are often only wishing eachother luck or expressing gratitude etc) and for some reason (I swear I remember reading about it somewhere :wonder: ) I had already assumed that off-topic likes did not count for promotions/rewards anyway 😃

You're right,  :) We did say that earlier, but we acually only removed the off-topic likes from the leaderboard counts. From now on the likes and posts won't count towards your stats :)

I actually thought the off topic and promo sections were both excluded from the ranks, badges and rewards stuff since the beginning so having them removed from the stats won't make much difference, but I really missed the possibility to like posts in the promo section when you removed it, so I'm glad you put it back again. Clicking "like" is a simple way to just say "thanks" or "I agree" without cluttering the thread, and it's always nice to receive a like even if it doesn't count in the stats. 😃
