I thought we were having a light-hearted debate about semantics, but when it became clear that wasn't the case I quit the thread. I literally cannot be bothered to argue about the topic any more. FWIW, I'm fairly well known (on 2+2 and PSO and maybe here too) for being helpful to newbies. Sure, I make a few jokes too, but there is no malice intended. I assumed you were joking with your first "8 high" comment, and you specified you were not, telling me I made a good read when I said I feel that some of you think I can't play poker at all and a bad read when I considered your comment to have been made in jest (came up because hascorel quoted that in all seriousness). You then specifically said you'd be surprised if I can beat the micros because in your opinion I had nothing on the flop to "turn into" a bluff on turn. You went on and on about this for pages upon pages, telling me several times that you are so much smarter than me because high hand flop is all imortant and 8high rarely is that.

No I think it's fine, if Arty thinks it was all very funny, I am fine keeping everything in tact for anyone else to come and get a good laugh if they want. I did feel it ruined my thread and hurt my ego, getting sent off to read Sklansky every other post, but whatever, maybe it wasn't going to be a fun thread anyway. 

I can say about being welcoming to newbies, Arty (not doing the @ lest I "drag you back" you poor thing), I don't feel you have been. I'm not new to poker but I'm sorta new on the forum. And I am probably leaving because of you. Just so you know.

p.s. if someone thinks I am tapping the tank here leaving the argument up because omg, maybe someone would have bought that high hand flop matters more than actual showdown equity flop, I think it's not a problem. People who would have bought that are the same sort of people who think 2+2 has been about strategy after 2008 or so and I'd be surprised if they can tie their own shoelaces, let alone beat anything anywhere. No offence to anyone who has posted in this thread, I realize most of you were joking.

I started reading this forum only a few weeks ago, I thought the overall climate was a bit different here but it seems all pokerforums are the same, some keyboard warriors  with huge egos flaming each other about practically nothing.... :annoyed:

I agree it got a bit ugly, I shouldn't have let myself get triggered. Here's another hand though, I am neverbeenkis, but I was just thinking while we were playing this that if ChantChant checks that river it would be perfect to trap me into making a bet and then shoving, and I was preparing to check it down in case he/she did, but they bet so it was easy enough to call. What do you guys think here?

If you have over 3000 posts and only play freerolls you should automatically be disqualified from any strategy discussion! If you set up a challenge like this, it should be mandatory to update your bankroll anytime you make a new post. Like @TotalRecall said, the last 10 (!!!) pages probably have been about freerollers/key board warriors pretending to be chess grand masters, who's supposed to read that? I tried and just couldn't do it.

Also, I'm not going to be the White Knight here, however this is @taft 's personal challenge, you don't like her views on poker? Stop reading and let her be...

Having said that, @taft I think you're an aggro-donk 🆒 However the last hand you posted you actually played OK. I played a lot at SNG10 over the last few months (with positive ROI) and recognized that ChantChant player and I would have done exactly the same. Honestly, there's not much you can do running into a higher FH. You called him down on the river and at least saved a chunk of your stack to continue playing instead of going all-in.

If you want to play like an aggro-donk that's totally up to you and should be respected by everyone her in this topic since you're putting yourself out here, playing with your own money. Maybe it works, maybe it doesn't but you cannot force a playing style upon you that doesn't suit your playing personality.

, I do try to not just fight people out of pots, but actually play hands to the best of my abilty, but I'm definitely not weak-tight :D so you know ... yeah. Lately, playing those 10sngs there's also that I am sat out for a large part of the time (have had other real life stuff going on constantly) on most of my tables and then I have to turn up the aggro a bit to still win :D

Forgot to update the bankroll! 165.67 now (went bust on the 104 I started with though, deposited 78 yesterday) but I was more thinking I would ask for a breakdown from support for the period of the challenge once it's over, so we'll see by how much I'm gonna miss that goal without me posting constant bankroll updates. Sound like a plan at all?

Move down to SNG4 or better SNG2. You don't have the bankroll for SNG10, especially giving your playing style which will result in crazy swings.

Yeah, well. The bad news is that I now have no idea how my pokerroll is doing, I'm probably down. The good news is I'm sorta rolling in cash again thanks to Space Wars and Toki Time and that Moody Monsters minigame. Sorta kinda slipped up because my self exclusion from casino and bingo stopped today. So. Current roll, uhm, 4000.52 and I have a 6K withdrawal pending. Pro slotter lol.

Idk if this is going to raise more bad blood around here or what. Think what you will, okay. It's cool.

No, no, I specifically said I was going to make 3K playing the micros within a month, I am no where near reaching that goal and I will probably not reach it this month, but I intend to keep this thread going until I do (3K within a month at no higher than 25NL/10everything else) because I kind of think it's doable, and I should be able to do it (I know everyone here thinks I'm some manner of fish or donk or whatever but you don't know I've been living off of poker for 9 years lol, I can handle situations).

So, no, we are not done. :)

You know as I was sitting out with 3-4 left and a 5K stack on several tables of those 10sngs last night (came back later to find I'd finished 3rd on some 2nd on others) it occurred to me that this challenge is all very fun and good so long as I don't actually manage to do it, but if I did, say next month, that would be 3K I would be taking out of the micro economy for no reason, and I kind of feel bad about that, because lower stakes is kind of where people go when they need the money, so it seems borderline unethical to me at the moment. (Withdrew anouther 15K btw, moar slotting yesterday, seems like I've made a good bit of the money I've lost at the slots back at the slots now :))

So I dunno!

Was on a table in one of those sngs with DaVitche yesterday btw, didn't notice until half way in, ended up busting him w AJo (he had 96s or something, we were both sorta short, he shoved, I called) That felt sorta exciting, it's kind of like in those community freerolls where people have their forum names, kind of feels like playing against actual humans rather than anonymous dunnowho.

Also makes me think I do want to qualify for an UO in the future to meet some of you :) Not going so well with the UO tickets at present, I have 10€ worth of tickets left, exchanged my last 10UO to 2s, will be playing them at some point (29 day expiry though, so plenty of time). Pretty sad, considering I've had the 250UO about 4 times and busted it, nevermind the ones I exhanged back down aad then busted the 50s and the 10s. Still pretty good, considering it's all from the community freeeroll 50UO ticket anyway, I have made that not-stone-bubble cash place in some of the satties as well, so have already profited, also obviously has been excellent for challenge points. Will probably try some satties for my own money now in the future.
