Fast Poker and double or nothing

I don't think we'll do double or nothing.  It's too easy to cheat at in ways that are really hard to detect, and there isn't a lot of traffic elsewhere for us to steal.

We had Fast in the past, but unless we ran big promotions for it, it didn't run.  The problem was that when there were < 20 players in the pool, it was faster to play regular games because of the way Fast had to wait for players to finish hands before starting another.  Fast also has the problem of very low win rates and very tight games, both of which ultimately make it boring.  We turned it off and added Banzai instead.

I'd like to bring it back when we have better mobile clients, but it's not going to be top of the list at that point.  I have a way to fix all of those above problems, it's simply that we need to prioritise other features first.

I agree,it doesn't make sense,if there are not enough players, but maybe you should give it another try once in the future.

On other sites its quite popular and if you push it with good promotions,im pretty sure ppl would play it. In general it gives more action that regular games and I don't think that its tigher.

With double or nothing you have a good point, but pity to hear that, cause I like it personally more then "normal" sitngo's.

btw, will there be new poker games coming up soon?If you can tell that already?

p.s

you should name it kamikadze poker, not banzai, cause it is :smileyvery-happy:

Thats why I almost never play it,its like flipping coins, not really possible to play it with skill.

We have flip tournaments now, and we've used them once or twice as small parts of promotions.  We're going to use them a bit more in the future, but I don't think we'll ever use them a lot.  I prefer to keep the game about poker skill, we already have a casino elsewhere.

Like I said, we had it at launch:

You can see that we did promos in Jun and Aug, but they didn't stick.  So we eventually turned it off.

As for other poker games, we're working on a big project at the moment which will take the rest of the year.  It doesn't include a new game type yet though.

OK, but some more varietes of sit n go tables will be good. And i must ask , why is not possible chat on unibet poker??  I like that client so much, that design is my favorites from all poker clients, but this not good i think...

I agree there.
Wasted ages looking for the chat, and the hand replayer when I first signed up.
I know there is the text version of the hand, but then you have to go around the houses to get back to the lobby.
And that's if you can find the hand you want to view at all!

Hey LordofPoka,

I also like the double or nothing sng buts its true there might not be enough interested players to organize them on a regular basis compared to normal sng.

I would suggest to you to play the step-it-up tournaments instead.   Top 8 winning 5 x buyin for example in the daily €2 step it up is a really nice way to increase your bankroll :) and its fun to play something different than regular tournaments :)  (it plays more like a satellite)

I wish Unibet would bring back the €1 step it up..it was quite successfull last year.

Did you guys have any explanation/research why it failed ? I never understood how sometimes there were literally 0 people playing 4NL Fast Poker, while there were 200+ on regular 4NL.

The traffic on current SNGs is already incredibly low, so I cannot imagine Unibet even considering different types of SNGs. In fact, traffic overall on Unibet Poker is a problem. Even in €4 SNGs, sometimes you have to wait several minutes for tables to fill up.

Agree on the chat though. This was one of the criticisms when the new Unibet launched and Unibet claimed it wanted to focus on the social aspects. Poker has never been more asocial than now on Unibet :(. Your opponents are just completely anonymous players, no clue about who they are (they can change screennames constantly), where they are from, etc... and you cannot even interact with them.

There're no SNG varieties because if we split liquidity in the existing games they may not run any more.

There's no chat because people just use it to troll each other.

Hand replayer is being built at the moment.

I'll let Robin know, he looks after the tourney schedule.  I suspect it didn't run very well though.

Yeh, it was slower and a worse experience than regular NL games until there were 20+ players in the pool.  The first 20 didn't want to play that way unless we had money in the pool.

Chat is used to troll people 99% of the time.  I bet the most common noun used in online poker is donkey.  Or maybe fish.  I don't want that kind of interaction.
