NeriPoker
What is the type of poker game of your choice and why? I'm interested in hearing all of the different reasons for why you choose a specific type of game to play. How does it suit your lifestyle and goals?I would say it's mainly cash games for me. The convenience of cash is just too strong. You can play 20 minutes or you can play 4 hours. If something comes up, you can just leave and for someone with limited time to play like myself that is just a huge factor. I simply haven't got 6 hours every day to end up with a microstakes min cash! (If I run good) I still can't resist jumping in some mtt's at the weekend tbh just so I can keep my hand in with a chance of that big score we all dream of. But many a time I'll load up a bunch of mtts and after a couple of hours I start to feel the energy quickly draining from me and I quickly get this feeling of regret about even regging them in the first place! So yep, cash would be my preferred game I suppose. How about you?
Magicadil
I only play tournaments. I enjoy live tournaments the most because I find with them there's a definitive ending. Blinds go up, players get eliminated, eventually there's a winner. It's very convenient for me because once tournament is over I can just leave. I used to play cash games but I found my level of play fluctuated too much and since you can be extremely patient, the thrill of shoving with like 20 big blinds wasn't there. My local casino has two daily tournaments. One at 12:00 and the other at 7:00. The first usually ends at around 4:30 so there's still a 2 and a half hour gap till next one.Online, I will never play cash. Especially since there's lots of collusion. The only problem I've found with tournaments online is that I have an extremely random schedule. Like sometimes a friend of mine will call me at like 2AM and be like 'Yo, let's skateboard for a bit. Park's completely empty.' So I'll end up doing that and blinding out 🤣 I debateShould I smile like everything's good and pretend that life is greatOr should I let the world see the real me and not hide this painI tried to be like the rest of y'all, sorry I just can'tI'ma probably die this way
WWhite
I like also cash gaems is like disses you money is convenient, and can we go when we want ... like banzai style ... but sometimes can be very unfair ... I also like to play the style bounty MTT's or multi buy-in .. I think I adapt better turbos MTT than big blinds 9 minutes or more, I just online game .. radge1
I always played tourneys only in my pre-Unibet days and I still feel that is the purest form of the game, but on Unibet (partly due to challenges etc) I find myself playing more SNG and cash.Bizarrely, although I'm crap at it, I find myself playing PLO cash (low stakes) games quite a lot. startelver
Tournaments most of the time, it's more fun to win a big prize with a small buy-in and beat 1000 players.
