Hello!

I`m concerned about the very low activity at NL games lately, especially highstakes NL200/NL400 . This problem has been going on for some time and it started after the connection issues the site had last month. I was hoping that this lack of activity would return to normal with the start of the new cashrace promotions, but it seems that traffic is still suffering. I`m even worried if I will be able to complete my playthrough bonus in time since I can barely play 1 or 2 tables of NL400 for a few hours a day. Now I have to make it by grinding NL100, but traffic sucks even there. However, my main concern is not the bonus, but the future of this site. I've been playing here for two years, but I've never encountered a situation like this before.

Not sure if there's a question here, or what info you're looking for 🙂

Yes, traffic is currently a bit low, and it's obviously linked to the challenges covered on the blog: less traffic and softer games. However, the current level is something we've seen many times before, and especially NL400 traffic is a roller coaster ride with huge weekly and monthly swings 📈📉📈📉. I do believe there'll be better traffic at the end of this month. In the meantime, you can enjoy really good rakeback due to the two big promotions currently running 🙂

Makiavelli, unibet has changed their view of poker on the site. They started with rake increase, now they have took HUsng out for example. Higher games games will be dead. There is no future at Unibet if you are playing poker for a living. This is just the start of the end of the poker part of unibet.  The focus is on fun players, and it will be a low level poker site. So there will be low limit games for years still.

I do believe unibet is a great place for fun, recreational players.

With player alias changes and no HUDs unibet is never going to be the site of choice for players looking to make a living from poker. Hence the low level of high stakes players on the site.

Just my opinion.

It is kind of vicious circle when it get started and hard to turn around. Often i felt like playing but once entered poker there wasn't players to play with on format i wanted to and normal conclusion of it is that next time you want to play you don't even bother to try here but go elsewhere.

Probly not situation of regs (yet) who don't mind waiting for players and play for hours but someone like me who wants to just jump straght in and play for awhile it is far from ideal.

Quick fact check: rake has overall been decreased over the last few years. Only stakes that have been increased are lowest cash, where we still have the - by far - lowest rake in the industry. Mid stakes cash and higher stakes HexaPro have seen a decrease, which obviously has way bigger impact on the total rake.
Then there's the HUSNG increase, which was an increase from - by far - lowest in the industry to be more inline with industry standard, but still the lowest when considering speed. Considering this, rake has still been overall lowered 🙂

I get you're upset about HUSNG being removed, but let's not make up stories 😉

There're of course plenty of players making a living, but you are right that it puts a lot of players off, and the strategy is the primary reason games are different here to for instance GG or Pokerstars.

It's actually looking okay in this regard at the moment. There's less of an issue now - when considering all games - than there's been last few years (looking at averages). If you're after specifically PL200, then you've got a point, but there's good traffic at both PL100 and PL400 🙂

I meant other formats too, can remember this happening also with higher banzai and hexa.

I get it that not much you can do about it in poker team but since subject was opened i chipped in with my experience of it.

In my time playing on Unibet ( 2 years or so) it never felt like this. Yes, there were days with low traffic once in a while, but now this is going on for weeks. I know it`s nothing you can do about it, but you can`t deny that is a significant lack of activity at high stakes in particular, but even NL100 is affected. I mean, I would`ve excpected a big boost in traffic with such a good promotions running .

As I said, I`m concerned about the future of poker on Unibet and I hope this is not the beggining of a downfall.

@Makiavelli, fair enough 🙂 I get your worry, and when you've "only" been playing here for two years, it makes more sense. We're basically just taken back a few years with the traffic at the moment. With the current numbers, there's no need to worry about a collapse.

I need to highlight this one again: A new chapter in the history of Unibet poker - Unibet Poker. When a market is closed or bigger changes happen in a network, there'll be an immediate impact, which is likely to be very different from the longer term state of the games. As an example, if a market with good players with significant volume is closed, then the games will generally see a gradual recovery, if the amount of casual player funds in pool remains steady.

I hope that the current situation will be just a moment of transition until the old players will get acquainted with the new platform. But how do you proceed to direct them to the new platform, apart from the announcement on the community?
