again about disconnects on unibet

 After many topics with the problem of unibet freezing...


Such a story happened to me several months ago. Then I did not write anything, but now I think you will be interested in this.


 I had 3 SNG tournaments running, 2 for 200 euros and 1 for 100 euros, and something happened to the unibet servers and all the tournaments stopped. I waited about half an hour and closed the unibet client. A couple of hours later I went in and saw that about an hour after the freeze the game continued and another player won all 3 tournaments. I waited 2 days, thinking that I would be compensated for the frozen tournaments. There was no compensation and I wrote to the support service. In the first letter they answered me that too much time had passed and there would be no compensation. I answered them that half a year ago there was exactly the same situation and without any letters I received compensation in 2 days and therefore this time I waited 2 days for the same thing. The second letter pointed out to me the point of the rules that if the tournament freezes, I must wait for the game to continue for an hour and I am not entitled to compensation, I waited only half an hour.

My mood was ruined, I had no desire to continue these fights. I thought about describing this story on the forum, but I was not in the mood for it. Losing 500 euros this way would ruin anyone's mood.

Secondly, you have gotten just shy of €100 DDOS related compensation. If you closed down the client prior to the 30 minutes, I'm not sure there's much I can do for you. The compensation you've already gotten is quite generous, but obviously not keeping in mind that you didn't continue when tournaments resumed. I can look at it, if you give me the tournament ID's, but as mentioned, not sure I can offer any additional refunds 🙂

Now I understand that for 100 euros on the account.

But the situation I described happened in the summer and I can't remember when exactly to look at the tournament number. The tournaments were resumed 53 minutes after the stop (I looked at the hand history) what difference does it make in that case how long I closed the client, 2 minutes or 42. I don't expect compensation. The post is more to encourage those who did not receive compensation, they are not alone.

I doubt this to be true, as we've had the 30 minute rule in place since April 🙂 Only possibility is that it'd have happened during my vacation, but I doubt that. 

Please share the tournament ID's or exact date of issue, and I'll look into it.

I will say this, I deleted the correspondence and I can’t remember the exact time, but if you want, I think it’s not a problem for you to look at my requests to the support service, I don’t write letters that often.


What you say about the rule starting in April 30 minutes seems true to me, because as I wrote earlier, in exactly the same situation I would have done it in the winter and there I acted the same way and I was paid compensation.
As far as I remember the situation, I simply wrote that I waited 20 minutes and no one even checked how long I waited and I was refused. Maybe I waited more than 30 minutes, I just didn’t know that it was crucial. And having written about 20 minutes, saying that it was 29 or 31 minutes looks stupid.

There's been announcement at the top of the page since 6 minutes ago, which is 2 minutes after the first report.

Yeah, thank you, we all know that there is an issue. 

More hinting to the fact that this has now become a more recurring thing than frequency of me winning, and the question is why, and if we can expect an improvement.

If your tournament has just been paused unexpectedly, here's what to do and expect:

  1. Please don't close the table, when the tournament has paused. Keep the client and table open.
  2. During business hours we will always try and keep everyone informed about what's going on. This is done here on the community as well as through notifications in the poker client. If the issue happens during the night, we likely won't be able to provide live updates on the status.
  3. For all HexaPro's, all SNG's and MTT's with less than €10,000 prizepool: if the tournament has not resumed again within 30 minutes, the tournament will be cancelled.
  4. For MTT's with a prizepool of €10,000 or more: if the tournament has not resumed within 60 minutes, the tournament will be cancelled.

As someone who has suffered almost every, single ddos attack in the last few weeks or so I am also frustrated..

Buuut, you guys do realise that it is not on them that they are a target of hacker attacks, which in return makes you victims/angry, right?

Has it been posted and confirmed from Unibets side that this is ddos attacks? Or do you just guess that yourself?
