How does a poker bonus (playthrough bonus) work?

Unlike most bonuses for other products, a playthrough bonus does NOT instantly grant you funds with which you can join tournaments or cash game tables.

Instead, these bonuses are paid out in cash increments based on the rake you generate. Simply put, you need to rake (rake=the fees you pay to play) a certain amount to trigger a cash reward, and most bonuses will have multiple increments/levels.

Suppose you purchase a €100 bonus in the shop. This bonus is divided into five levels, each requiring €100 in rake to unlock a €20 cash reward. Essentially, this means you're getting a 20% rakeback.

Here's a breakdown of a typical bonus for the shop:

Level Rake Required Reward Amount
1 € 100 € 20
2 € 100 € 20
3 € 100 € 20
4 € 100 € 20
5 € 100 € 20

All shop bonuses offer a 20% rakeback and are divided into 5 levels. However, we also have bonuses with 1 and 10 levels, and the rakeback percentage can range from 5% to 50%.
