cris1285 Posted June 28 Share Posted June 28 From the 1st of July, there will be a new law in Hungary, and the banks won't have permit payments for (foreign) online gambling and betting. I received messages regarding this issue from other sites already, but not yet from Unibet. What is about Unibet, and what is the alternative method or any other possibility from Unibet to the poor Hungarians? Using Skrill/Neteller was suggested by party, but I don't have it available at Unibet (and I believe many Hungarians lack that option too). The alternative, I was told by your support team is to use Skrill or Neteller. The only problem is that I have not too much faith in them. If you're referring to me, I work with the poker product, not payments solutions 🙂 We've also got hundreds of different methods depending on the jurisdiction/country. Which is to my perception is not true at all. The fact is that since the beginning of this month you cannot use a Hungarian bank to send money to your site (or any other site outside Hungary) by any means. The only sulution offered by your support was either Neteller or Skrill. I don't know how does it work for others from my country but it is too much of a complication for me to set up another account with some unknown business while I am also concerned with some safety issues there. To be honest, I do not know anything about Neteller but I have awful experience with Skrill, it is sure, I would not trust them handling a single forint of my money. So all in all, yes - lawful or not - the Hungarian government's measures (to direct all money to Hungarian businesses strongly interweaving with government officials, forming a monopoly here) seems to be working. Maybe your too much of a big business to be affected by some Hungarians never using your site again, but it will happen, I can tell you - I believe it is already happening right now. What I told you is a fact in other markets and what I was told would be the case in Hungary as well 🙂 If you can't do payments with a card type method, I guess the solution just isn't quite ready yet.
