Spring 2023 Football Competition #1 ( Part 2/3, Saturday 1.4 )

This Saturday brings us a couple of massive matches and we will fully focus on those two. As always when we have player specific markets included, it could be smart to wait for the line-ups of the first match before submitting your picks in case you don't want to have any of your picks getting voided. This will be even more significant when we get to the eurocup matches in a few weeks time when all the matches of the day will start at the same time and you will have the chance to see all the line-ups well before the deadline. 🙂

 

We will be having 4 football competitions here in the Community running prior and during the 2023 Spring edition of the Community Poker League.

On each of the 4 competitions we will be making picks on a set of questions regarding selected matches from the European football schedule for 3 consecutive days.

To keep things as simple as possible, we will be using the community poll feature for submitting the picks.

Points for correct picks will be based on Unibet sportsbook odds and all the markets will be settled according to the sportsbook rules. You will see the potential points for a correct answer inside brackets (...) after every possible selection. We already did this during the World Cup, and everything went so well that there's no point in changing much at all. Only real difference is that we will this time have a "3-day mini leaderboard" instead of daily competitions, to determine our winners. Highest total score over the 3 day period is obviously what everyone should be aiming for.

Opta stats will be used for settling markets regarding player performances.

 

Prizes:

Prizes for 8 highest leaderboard scores are credited in €5 Community Poker League tickets for the following weeks league events, and are as follows:

1st place: €40 ( 8 tickets )

2nd place: €30 ( 6 tickets )

3rd - 4th places: €20 ( 4 tickets )

5th - 8th places: €10 ( 2 tickets )

In the unlikely scenario that two or more players finish in a prize position with the exact same amount of points and tickets can't be split evenly, we will use the following rules to make the difference.

1: Most total correct picks during the 3 day period
2: Highest points scoring single pick
3: Poll submitted earlier on most days

 

Schedule & Deadline:

This poll will automatically close at the scheduled time of the first kick-off of the day, which is at 13:30 CEST on Saturday ( 1.4 ). You will have no way of submitting your picks after the poll has closed, so don't leave things too late.
The 3rd and final part of this weeks competition will close at 17:30 CEST on Sunday, and there will be a new post and poll about it published on Saturday.

It'll be the final day of the first competition tomorrow on Sunday. We will start with Newcastle vs Manchester United in the late afternoon, followed by Napoli vs AC Milan and PSG vs Lyon later in the evening.
