Farseer Posted February 4, 2022 Author Posted February 4, 2022 Pretty much like yesterday, though endruns was even more horrible. But 1,3k$ trophy from NLO8 hyper bounty started day nicely. Probably like +700€ day, but ended up getting 4 mincashes and semibubble from deep runs. Thought about stopping session already after 10 pm (EET), since had two time 0 tables (right after winning that NLO8 and bit after that). Too bad didn't do that, would've been great short day but would've lost lots of EV (soft games all over the place). At Unibet had no chance. Pretty much this kind of preflop flips getting lost all over the place: 1 1
Samba Posted February 4, 2022 Posted February 4, 2022 NL O8 hyper bounty? Now that is a sick game. grats on the score 1
Farseer Posted February 5, 2022 Author Posted February 5, 2022 Yeah, I love NLO8 hyper bounties. They're my favourite format, quick-paced action game. MTT which has 200+ runners and lasts just bit over a hour. I would love to see Omaha Hi-Lo on Unibet and I've been moaning for its addition ever since Unibet Poker launched in 2014. Probably gotta moan for 8 years more - O8 for 2030?
Farseer Posted February 7, 2022 Author Posted February 7, 2022 No games this weekend. Been hardly reminded a sharp lesson that one should not borrow money to the people (especially to ones who haven't paid their loans in the past). Had a little break-down and after-treatment meant lots of drinks, so better not to play. But on the bright side not going to lose 1) my money, 2) my time and 3) my nerves for this one person ever again (I hope). 14280€ lost (1280€ during last 2 months) and it is far less than time and nerves lost during the years. Being a relative doesn't not entitle one to act like asshole, steal your money and constantly demand loans and listening to ones bullshit. Remember that borrowing money to the people and to relatives especially is hugely -EV business. If someone really needs help and you want and can help him, give it as a gift. Much less drama that way. 4 2
Farseer Posted February 10, 2022 Author Posted February 10, 2022 Get into bed just to lay down during daytime for a moment and wake up 8+ hours later has been usual way of getting sleep lately. Tomorrow: Got a small group (online) meeting with study psychologist (for Master's Thesis) and after that, going to go with poker friends for a 4-night vacation on a villa. Looking really up for it, just worrying that tomorrow is likely gonna be tough with little or no sleep. 2
WuDu Posted February 11, 2022 Posted February 11, 2022 4 We're gonna win on so many levels! We're gonna win, win, win. You're gonna get so tired of winning, you're gonna say: "Mr. President please, we don't wanna win anymore, it's too much!" And I'm gonna say: "I'm sorry, we're gonna keep winning because we're gonna make America great again!"
Farseer Posted February 17, 2022 Author Posted February 17, 2022 +2,4 kg, so villa trip went as expected. Been recovering from it last few days, 3 days of drinking and eating lots of unhealthy stuff takes its toll at this age. It was fun trip, but payback is a bitch. Quite tired doing all the stuff that's been getting stuck, and just came here and got a quite instabad feeling about missing 1000€ freeroll with just a few players as tournament starting time was not told (despite asking about it personally 10 days ago) and it got run yesterday. If one is doing a promotion, why not do it properly? Zero reason why not to give freeroll time as promotion launches, in case some people are unable to attend it, now just feel like crap as missed lots of value and did promo for nothing. Didn't even get any e-mail about the MTT (private message would have given it). Small issues feel great when you are still tired, got lots to do, poker and studies are going nowhere, one is running badly at casinos (-1,4k€ and ~600€ cashback at hugely +EV promos last two days). I should probably rename this blog "Life sucks and then you die".
Farseer Posted February 17, 2022 Author Posted February 17, 2022 Just now, Farseer said: I should probably rename this blog "Life sucks and then you die". This is actually headline of my Discord-"blog" already. Most posts are "Xx 50€ deadspins again today". Make 8€ EV each spin, in average run -20€ real money.

So don't think you missed froll but gained easier hangover and you should feel better 1 3
Farseer Posted February 17, 2022 Author Posted February 17, 2022 (edited) Well got a small consolidation prize. Would've rather played that freeroll (and it had great value), but nice gesture. Next time it's probably better, just having everything ready makes things much more simple. And sure would've prob bubbled it, wasting time. But would've got a good reason to drink more! Mixing coca-cola (zero) and dark rum here as that was just a start for another horrible Thursday. First got banned from valuable casino, then checked how my stocks were faring just to see that all of them reported horrible Q4 results, ending day like this: These Finnish songs pretty much sums how day went (first is "worse than each other" and second is something that is censored here anyways, just google it: Edited February 17, 2022 by Farseer

Farseer Posted February 18, 2022 Author Posted February 18, 2022 RIP Master's Thesis. Been just sleeping / bubble bathing today and got invitation for a party tomorrow including pre-party and after-party. RIP Master's Thesis, long live the life after covid-crap!
Farseer Posted February 27, 2022 Author Posted February 27, 2022 Basic flip gone bad. At least I didn't lose any rebuys. February been a hell. All games run to hell, though still feel more bad for Ukraine right now. Sent some little €€€ for Ukraine army yesterday. Lots of people including poker players around here have done the same. Feel free to join https://bank.gov.ua/en/news/all/natsionalniy-bank-vidkriv-spetsrahunok-dlya-zboru-koshtiv-na-potrebi-armiyi?fbclid=IwAR20lFYT3Ato6gT1cbAdjlojxDG2is6Tentp9E9u3uTBZSHSnbveiZUSZ4o 3
Farseer Posted March 9, 2022 Author Posted March 9, 2022 (edited) Been sending some more help from Ukraine, via some game store which arranged a promotion: all funds coming from selling some board games will be donated to Ukraine military. So bought 10 board games, maybe keeping 1 of them (nothing good really for me) and giving rest as Christmas presents (mostly Carcassone / Ticket to Ride). 2 birds with one stone! Been feeling better. Just been playing very little - more active on stocks front though. Like to play very quick poker MTTs right now. Missed all UOS MTTs - well only Banzai Bounty would've been considered right now anyway. One might feel powerless right now, but there's always something one can do Edited March 9, 2022 by Farseer 2
Farseer Posted March 13, 2022 Author Posted March 13, 2022 Life is still running through some deep and rough waters. No poker, but some success at Chess. Haven't been playing any tournament in 20 years (was mediocre player then at best) and very few fun games, but took decent score from this one. Also had a wedding party for a good friend. Was a great to see some old friends (and also some new ones) after like 3+ years live. 4
Rushbie Posted March 14, 2022 Posted March 14, 2022 (edited) Have to delete this, but weddings sure are fine alright Plenty of luck and love to the couple, sincerely Edited March 14, 2022 by Rushbie

Farseer Posted March 15, 2022 Author Posted March 15, 2022 By the way, about the topic: Star Trek: Picard season 1 was horrible piece of crap. But after 2 episodes, season 2 is actually quite good stuff. So, skip season 1 and go right to season 2.
Farseer Posted March 24, 2022 Author Posted March 24, 2022 Took the pseudo-banzai today. Got a nice start with this huge pot (action was cheal limp -> all-in, all-in, all-in, call). After that little luck though and as stacks went short due to blinds got two bit nasty setups. At least got bounties to cover my buy-in + interests. 2
Farseer Posted March 24, 2022 Author Posted March 24, 2022 Also got 4k$ score from other site just last weekend. It was rather disappointing though, as finishing 147th place wasn't the one I was hoping. But it was sort of freeroll, got a free 150$ ticket to another MTT, managed to mincash it for 405$ so freerolled to this other event. Haven't been playing poker much (or really not at all, just 18 MTTs so far this month). Result-wise it's been good though no trophies 4
Farseer Posted March 27, 2022 Author Posted March 27, 2022 Action, no meditation I've been starting to hate slow tournaments lately. Including R/A's - which generally are soft and have good value. But slow tournaments are so boring! And mostly they play the opposite from other MTTs I play since they favor tight play (unless they are bounties, which I rarely play as slow bounty MTT has to be reg's from the start so it lasts even longer). After long play you usúally end up flipping like this and get busted: I've been lately playing Banzai Bounties and NLO8 hyper PKOs (or some other quick-paced MTTs). They're maybe even more soft, they last like 1 hour tops (yesterday FT-bubbled 55$ one and it lasted 50 mins, better than playing 4-8 hours at some 55$ regspeed and get busted same way). You jump right into action (like today I pushed 100bb all-in at first hand at NLO8 and got called by KJ99r which is about worst hand at that format). And they allow you to end session quickly if you're getting tilted or just don't want to play any more. Bad side is that offering is limited and you have to play bigger buy-ins as well to get enough action and chance to make decent $$$. Too bad Unibet don't have these: all PKOs with meaningful buy-ins and prize pools that I see are very slow. And no O8 :( Maybe I'll get patience and interest back for R/A's, but they have a secondary problem which isn't easily solved: best ones run until very late. At Unibet they might be finished before sun rises during summer, but on other site which has them sun is certainly up if you run even semideep at them. So one has to live like a vampire. 3
Farseer Posted April 1, 2022 Author Posted April 1, 2022 (edited) Played just 25€ editions at Community games this week. Not much to say, as they were quickly lost to 3 lost flips. Earlier this week had a tilting session on other site, where major server problems happened just during bubble at 55$ PKO and ended until the end of tournament (finished 7th). Other sites worked fine, and so did youtube and internet connection in general and another Finnish player reported same problems on our Discord channel. However no refund from support, as they claim I am not entitled to one when I managed to cash. Planning to do stuff like excel'ng results bit more efficiently. Just planning to note balances on each account at the beginning and end of the month. During month just planning to count deposits and withdrawals instead of marking each tournament or casino result each day. Won't be able to differ poker, casino and sportsbook results that way completely as some sites offer them all, but it should be small price to pay. Maybe counting hours and amount of MTTs played, but I am not sure if it is worth the effort. Old excel was super exact, but quite hard to keep on track especially when playing on mobile. Since 1k -> 100k challenge was finished last year, not super important to keep it so exact. Though it is good to have some kind bookkeeping as a professional player, not least because I have quite big credit line and might need another mortgage at some point.
